My first 2 firearms were a Glock 17 and WASR-10 (semiautomatic AK-47). I bought them both online and also bought 1,000 rounds each of 9mm and 7.62x39. I'm so glad I did that because ammo has become far more expensive since then.
@@Chachi636bro not everyone just shoots every weekend, 1000 rounds of ammo is a lot of ammo for someone who carries casually. And if he bought self defense rounds I wouldn’t waste those at the range. U can get 1000 rounds of fmjs for 200 bucks and have fun
this is like watching a toddler discover how to stand. still a little wobbly but you're getting there lol. 50 gallon drums of ammo are offered and you can purchase by the pallet too 🙌
@John Burn man I'm 36 and I got my 1st AK a WasR10/63 from Dunhams sporting goods in 2005 Walked out the door with it same day 300 flat. Mind u I was only makin 12/HR and had a car 88 Monte Carlo and a 1 bedroom. This was 2005 I was 18 a year out of high-school and had a car, house, a Mossberg 500 and a AK...couldn't tell me NOTHIN. I feel for these kids now the world really is different 😕. /old man rant/
Imagine being 53 and trying to remember. How bout $2 box of 762 and 4 box of 9 mil. and an SKS for $70......I also remember 65 cents a gallon of real gas. I think thats right ....my partzeimers is kicking in
How many people you planing on killing with that much ammo? Now way any normal mentally healthy person needs a gun or ammo. Especially a thousand rounds. You my friend are planning something nasty.
I literally just had the USPS mailman show up at my house with an "EMPTY" cardboard tube that had originally contained the "BRAND NEW" GREEN MOUNTAIN - BULL BARREL for my Ruger 10/22 but no longer did by the time it reached my house!! WTF 😢 What kind of a mailman doesn't realize that he's handing you a completely empty tube?? Yeah, my thoughts exactly!! Oh, and my buddy who sent it, only insured it for $50.00 bucks!!!!!😮
I've had several firearm related packages take a tour of the country to get to my house, it's pretty frustrating when you're tracking them and see that they go on insane trips, one package took 6 weeks in route! Pretty sure there are some scrupulous characters at UPS/ FedEx that don't like guns. Oh, my wife orders things all the time and never has an issue with delays 🤔
@@S.P.B.222UPS just ships everything to Kentucky for processing don't matter if it's coming from out of country or shipping from your home state to you that mf going to straight to Kentucky and they hire tweakers at the sorting facility, electronics, gun parts/ammo and drugs are their big ticket items if they figure out it's one of those three your package just gonna disappear plain and simple lmfao if you gotta mail any of those 3 use FedEx or USPS much more reliable
I’ve heard so many horror stories about OP but I’ve had nothing but good service from them. Matter of fact I just ordered a hawke 3-9 last month and it was here in 4 days.
I didn't know bulk ammo came like this either until I ordered 250 rounds of .30 Carbine and it came in a slapped together, stapled together box that had a hobo sack in it. Youre goddamn right I carried my hobosack to the range.
If you're ever missing bullets it's because we dropped it 😂 they only put them in those flimsy cardboard boxes despite weighing like 50lbs or more in that case
Bro 😂😂 last year usps stole my Samsung galaxy tablet because it said Samsung on the box... scanned it on my porch. I was outside as she pulled off nothing there... I called usps, and they sent her back to show me she claimed she put it right here...usps defended her saying it must have been a porch pirate ☠️ 😂... and they are not responsible 😂😂 I fkn hate the mail system... I can leave my garage door open all night n nobody going to mess with anything...
@justinbellio2285 basically told me that because she scanned the box at the house, this proves she delivered... I argued this tablet is for a semi I'm flying out in 2 days and a job requires it for E-logs... just because she scanned it doesn't mean it was left... I can scan a package as delivered and take the package back to the work vehicle... then they blamed pourch pirates... I said absolutely not I seen her walk up and put slides on before she took off Someone snatched it??? I was outside before she took off, and I was on the phone, not 5 minutes after the scan, it was not there
This has only happened twice to me, but what I did was I took a picture of the box. Took it over to FedEx, recorded myself opening and inventorying it with an employee. Contact customer service if it’s short, they’ll either send you replacement or refund the part of the order you’re short. Then contact the police, they’ll meet you at FedEx. Annnnd someone will go to jail because theft of ammunition and mail tampering are both felonies 😂😂
1000 rounds is one standard NATO ammo can of 5,56. Also, I wasn't expecting they'd just be dumped in a plastic bag in that box, I was at least expecting like stripper clips or smaller boxes or whatever
Miss my days in service .We still had wood crates for ammo I kept as many as I could now I have them as storage totes for my house. My Dad kept the crates for the big guns ammo as lockers.
I'm not a socialist or anything, but if there is one thing that should be free for everyone it should be ammo. Each citizen must get 10,000 of ammo in the caliber of their choice every year, along with a free un-serialised firearm of their choice every year.
Yo dude 100% agree we're supposed to be able to be ready at a moment's notice to defend this country and how are we supposed to do it without a gun we need to stop criminalizing guns and start criminalizing the people that do these horrible things because you know what at the end of the day who stopped them other people with guns guns aren't the problem it's the mental illness problem and the tons of other problems that go unchecked in his country
@@juicewrld5884 Very true. Remember that when you vote next time and never vote for a candidate who doesn't totally support our 2nd amendment. No more gun control for America.
That sucks. In South Africa the limit is 200 also, but as soon as you join a sport shooting club and become a dedicated sport shooter (which is ridiculously easy), the limit falls away completely.
True story, I was shopping the exact box of ‘Winchester’ 5.56 ammo. When a guy next to me said “do you want to split it?” Ok, so after purchasing it we started counting out our 500. The box was short 60rds, which completely negated the savings. Fortunately the shop gave us the missing rounds.
Yeah and you'll be very surprised that for some very strange reason, In a lot of cases, bulk ammo costs more CPR than buying say, 10, 100 round boxes of ammo. Same ammo count, packed more neatly.
In the 1980s I bought 1,000 rounds of yellow box norinco 5.56 for 99$ delivered to my house.1200 rounds of 7.62x 39 for 99$.I still have a few thousand rounds of each.buying In bulk is always the best way .
There are also (legal) websites where you can buy "mystery" boxes of Ammo. Some will literally have almost every type that you can think of/buy. They're actually pretty cool. Normally, they're pretty heavy, so there is typically a buy and shipping cost.
Saw a shelf of those during the ammo crisis in 2021. $2050 for the 1000 rounds and just about every person had one, or a basket full of .308 and .45. We bought a couple of 200 round boxes.
I was just given 3,500 rounds of 5.56 and .223, 1,000 rounds of 9mm, 1,000 rounds of 40S&W and a bunch of 38spc, 45acp, 22lr and 12 gauge buckshot and slugs. It all weighed so much packed in ammo cans that it actually weighed down the back of my SUV.
Kinda nice to see a guntuber focused on budget minded people. Almost everyone else makes content on the good stuff that takes awhile to save up for. Cool to see that everyone is covered now.
Fun fact, that tape is easy af to break and you can do it with 1 hand. Just grab 1 end, and rub it against itself. The fibers inside the tape break and make the tape brittle.
I buy my bulk ammo like this, but also factory reloads from a company called Georgia Arms. I've honestly had less failures out of Georgia Arms ammo that I have had from brand new factory loads from Winchester.
you can also buy pallets of like 50k+ rounds and its just really about the same other than you pay freight shipping pretty simple call up the manufacture and buy it direct
When my dad was young he was at Cabela's his dad gave him like $200 for ammo my dad said he can I have like two thousand rounds of 22 I believe the employee screwed up and gave him like 20,000 rounds by accident so he came out with these huge boxes of rounds we still have some of them today
I bought a polytech ak47 when I was 18 years old, the next weekend I went to a gun show and bought 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 for $75. Man I miss the old days… and I’m not that old…
Pretty sure every gun owner knows you can do this that’s why it gets hard to find certain ammunition’s bunch of people buy in bulk limiting the gun stores ability to have a steady supply. Really a lot of other stuff goes into play as well but this I feel is the big ticket.
