I’ve purchased some great kickstarter lots. Bought a dungeon saga lot with five boxes (main game and expansions) for $160 (Australian). Also purchased the top tier of Drakerys (worth $900 Australian) for just $230. A massive lot with well over a 100 miniatures, terrain, cards and battle maps, etc. My latest purchase was Bardsung. Amazing game with 60 + resin minis. Such nice quality too.

Cheap minis are about the only minis i really enjoy. I paid around $10 per mini for some very specific characters that were beautifully made. And realized my painting skills did not match up, so theyve been sitting waiting for me to get better.

You can always touch up or repaint if you really want to. That said, I am waiting to paint some of the D&D chainmail miniatures I own.

I really recommend you to buy a 3d printer and not spend 10 Dollars!!! per miniature. It does not matter if your skill is still expandable if the cost per miniature is only a few cents. And yes the purchase may be more expensive than the box with miniatures in the store but I swear it's worth it in any case. I have in the course of a year 3 showcases full of DND miniatures printed and that would have been thousands of Euros if I had bought them. I have spent but only maybe 100 to 150 Euro max.and I have everything I need as a DM right at hand.

@@MrAdrian1144 I have my 3D printer and a Loot Studios subscription, as well as seemingly a billion bundles that I've bought over the years from places like Humble Bundle. And I agree... the up side is that when I want to get really good at painting (I'm average at best right now), I intend to print like 10 of the same mini, decide on a look, and keep cranking away until I get good. The other up side is that I always have the mini I need at hand at any point. I need minotaurs? Got minotaurs. The other other up side is that I also have these same models in whatever size I want. Do I need a 1.5-scale version of a model as a boss? Easy to do.
