We have dived in and bought a cylinder arm sewing machine to make bags using thicker materials like leather and vinyls. In this video I share unboxing it and putting it together. I will continue to add more videos on using it as I learn to use it. We bought this using our own money and are not paid to do this in money or free products - we just want to.
This is a Cowboy CB6900 machine purchased from Sun Valley Trading in Queensland - their website is www.sunvalleytrading.com.au and they were very helpful in answering our questions and dealing with the courier for us.
We chose this machine because it came with a flat bed and all the key things we were looking for.

I’m so happy my little video could help. Funny story, I’ve misplaced that manual 🤦‍♀️. We downloaded a Juki LS-1340, LS-1341, LS-1342 and LS-1342-7 manual to help us when we had some tension issues from the internet. So that can help you too. They are pretty much the same machine with different labels.

okay, im sure i will enjoy… but it’s just strange on some parts i didn’t get them in my box like any binders, no string, only 4 needles no light and only 2 bobbins🙄

I bought a complete kit with it. If you did as well you should contact where you bought it from. I did buy some extra bobbins and needles and I think I mentioned that in my video. But the binding attachments were part of the standard purchase.

Thanks a lot. I have the same machine. It got packed during COVID lockdown. We moved 3 times and I just got it out this past weekend. How timely to see this today. Hello, please tell me how to turn on the motor that supplies oil from the sump?

Hi, we only turn on the power button that is on the right of the sewing machine table. I believe sewing will distribute the oil in the machine as you sew. There isn’t anything additional to turn on

Please 🙏 a very important question .. Is it possible to use the spare part related to the adjustment of sewing with the spare part for placing that tape on the edge of the skin at the same time in this machine ?! Or are the ones with which we put the tape on the edges of the leather themselves can modify the sewing as well.. !؟

I had trouble with my stitching (not the binding attachment) that I finally sorted but then ran out of time. Will let you know once I get the video up.
