My 13 year old brother grabbed my helmet from where it was resting, atop of my flat top wardrobe, and he ended up droping it, hitting the corner of a table near by. The visor is fine, and I don't SEE any damage on the sides of the helmet. Which is where I saw it hit. But you bet your ass I kicked him out of my room faster than people are panic buying toilet paper, telling him to not touch what he can't afford.

“Battle damage” is the first thing I thought of too 😂 adds character to the helmet lmaooo

Upon reviewing the footage, It actually NEVER lands on the visor, it actually lands on the back. That "scratch" is actually from it rubbing against the silver fallout helmet. (Which you can hear it doing as it tumbles) I believe this is nothing more than simply some paint or finish on the fallout helmet that had rubbed off onto the visor as it crossed it. You should be able to rub that off the visor. Just be careful!

Actually I think that it was something on the Fallout helmet that scratched the visor.

If I knew this game was so kickass I would have brought the collectors edition...

Hey swiftor: If you find the right buffing solution, you can buff the scratch off of the helmet. Hope this helps

So I've done a little research, just clean the area with a small damp cloth Gather sheets of sandpaper in different grades (levels of fineness). Start with the least fine sandpaper and fold it down to fit the size of the scratch - you don’t want to sand the un-scratched part of the surface. Wet the sandpaper to avoid it being too abrasive and gently rub over the scratch in a circular motion. Keep buffing until the scratch vanishes, but don’t be too forceful. Clean the area with a fresh cloth and dry. Review the area you have treated. If you can still see the scratch repeat the process with the finer level of sandpaper. Finish by polishing the area, along with the rest of the surface, in order for it to blend in and look as good as new.

If you would have read the Instruction Manual you would have seen that you can put batteries into the helmet and make it light up.

It's just plastic so that could probably be buffed out with the right equipment. If you can fix car headlights you can fix that.

I'm so pissed off that it doesn't have a physical disc, what's the point of a steel case if there's no disc.

Rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball will get that scuff out just don't let it run down to the paint!

Btw the symbol represents The Mark of The Slayer and it’s a sword stabbing in to hell .sword goes down and the two lines at bottom represent flames . I forget the meaning of the other four dots

Try some Polywatch. Its used for polishing shiny surfaces and works wonders. You can try it out.

Just pretend u fought demons with that helmet and u got a battle scar and u will get over it

Those who own Helmets with Visors, having a scratch right in the middle is that last place you want to have a scratch. That's just bad luck getting one straight-up right smack in the middle. Oh dear. :P

Hey I know its late but scale modelling wet sanding paper and then scale modelling polish and wax from Tamiya will make that as new and maybe even better than new

swift, from what i can tell the scratch is probably just a mark from the table, if im correct you should be able to rub it off with some spit and a t shirt

While I love my helmet and I use it everyday there are things that bother me. Like the color of the helmet is not the same as in the game and that the paint is quite delicate I will have to restore/repaint it at some point. =/

Depending on how deep that scratch is.... you can fix it. Get it polished (sanded) or maybe ask around if there are any ways to fix a scratch like that.
