Welcome back to another couple days in my life living with my chronic illness gastroparesis and a g/j feeding tube!
In this video I go thrifting and give you a little thrift haul once again because I am starting to get that creative itch again to sew and experiment with fashion. It is amazing what finally having energy feels like and that I am starting to regain more of my passions back!
I also show you a couple things that I have sewed including a two piece pants and tank top set that I sewed from scratch. No surprise here, but I also go to appointments with the chiropractor and pelvic floor therapy and have to make dreaded medical calls.
And then my favorite part of these couple days were making homemade coconut berry popsicles! Yay I actually made something that is safe for me to eat and you definitely have to try out this recipe!
I also made a bunch of tubie pads and have gotten pretty efficient at making them so spoiler I decided I am going to make an Etsy shop! I am so excited for this new little project and hope that it will help others! I then finish off the video unboxing my feeding tube supplies for the month. I don't know why but I always love when the shipment comes in. There is something about unboxing and organizing that is just so much fun.

You're amazing with the sewing machine and with making food! Sorry you didn't get all of the right medical supplies, but glad that you received more of what you needed than last time. Did you do the trick of asking the pharmacist at the supply company if they're wanting you to reuse syringes?

Hahah i love the little scavenger hunt! And you are so welcome. Making food and sewing are some of my favorite coping mechanisms and help me so much with getting through this illness. And it’s okay I was able to get the rest of the supplies the next day and no I didn’t ask the pharmacy but I get enough syringes now to change them out every 2-3 days and I only use them for water so I don’t mind that!

Love that you are going to open a shop. I totally think you should. :) Also. if you want a great french fry, checkers are awesome, but a bit greasy! So small amounts. LOL

I swear we are like twins!!! I have the same cookbook as you and the Berry sauce is soooo good!! I also opened an etsy shop about a month ago. Its not very popular at the moment but I'll get there. You should definitely do it!!!

Love the goodwill buys noted you like natural earthy color pallets..I can’t wear those kind of colors, they make me look washed out. The outfit you made it’s great really suits you! and the Tubie pads are great for someone learning how to make them I’m told they’re tricky to sew. The ice lollies look great. I hate coconut tho in any form, so wouldn’t include coconut milk. The tube pads look great. Well done.

I am so sorry but I don’t have any suggestions! My whole Ohio trip was kind of chaotic haha. I don’t even remember what hotel I stayed in, we actually ended up going to the wrong hospital first so the hotel we stayed in was not near the right hospital and let’s just say the hospital wasn’t in the nicest area and we saw some things we would prefer not to see lol. But I wish you the best of luck finding a hotel! I hope you have a great week!

You took your meds orally? They digest ok and don't vent out? Just curious how that works...love your videos and look forward to them!

Yes I do! I honestly don’t know if they digest okay but my doctors said they don’t want me crushing meds and putting them through my j tube so I just take them orally. They don’t vent out (I don’t think) because I take them in the morning and if I do have to vent it is not until later in the afternoon or evening! I do wonder though if they would work better if I took them through my j tube haha And thank you so much that means a lot to me!

Where do u get ur drainage bags? My supply company is saying they dont carry them? I def need to find some since i usually have to drain a good bit when im out and about 🙄 are there other kinds of drainage bags that could still be used? Figured i'd ask ya. Glad to see another video and congrats on ur subscribers!! Yay!! 😊

I got them from my supply company! It took a couple months for me to get them but eventually I got my doctor to write a prescription for them and they are just urinary drainage bags but they work well for also draining from your tube. If you supply company doesn't have the ones specific for stomach drainage they should at least have the urinary drainage ones. And thank you so much!

Hi, I am wondering what kind is feeding tube is? And the reason I'm asking is because I have serve gastroparesis and the Feeding Tube I use, seems to love falling out and now my 12 Feeding Tube keeps falling out and it's just seem like my body doesn't like it, I used the amt g-jet button , I'm just trying to find the right feeding tube.

This is a G/J mic-key button, I believe it’s an 18 French. I’ve never had any issues with mine at all since I’ve had it. No falling out, no flipping, nothing. It has worked out really well for me! I hope you are able to find a tube that treats you better!

@@KennaKrueger Thank you and I'm glad that you haven't had any problems with your feeding tube but for me so far feeding tube seems to really hate me or something and when I watched your video I saw your feeding tube so when I go to my next appointment I'm going to ask the doctor if I could switch to something different then the what I have been dealing with, this illness isn't much know where I live and most people don't understand it so they sometimes people in this small town can be very heartless and there's no one where I'm at who has Gastroparesis in my area and I get to deal with this illness alone and nobody to just talk too who really understands what I'm going through this illness is horrible and no one should ever have to go through this ever, unfortunately when they figure out what was going on it took them a year and a half and the doctor's all say that my stomach is completely paralyzed and I ended up on hospice because this illness but right now they took me off of hospice so I could get another tube but they said that they are going to put me back into hospice after I have my next feeding tube in. Thank you again you are the first one that has ever answered so thank you I really appreciate it and I'm so very sorry you also have to go through this cruel illness too.
