John is back in his comfort zone as we take a look at the German StuG G Platoon for Flames of War. A box set of five tanks which can be built to either a early or late war design.
The StuG G III was produced between 1942 - 1945 and as such contains early and late versions of the hull, main gun and mounted machine gun. The box also contains a tank commander sprue and a decal sheet.
Early or Late; how would you build your platoon?

Please keep all the historical content in these unboxings. I love hearing all the history of the unboxed vehicles.

John going on about the war is the whole reason I watch!

Eric Bomberger Agreed. Having a historically centric unboxing about historical vehicles in a historic wargame makes sense. Otherwise it's just a clone of every other unboxing we see. You guys are interesting and entertaining to listen too. Wargames are a great venue for learning so use it in that context =^^= So basically guys, you've historically always had historic conversations about historical military era vehicles and people from history that a historical wargame references from history for their historic wargames featuring historical military era vehicles, equipment, and personnel :P Historical wargamers get into this genre because of the history. It's the same reason behind why scifi fans get into scifi wargames or fantasy players get into fantasy wargames.......they enjoy the conversations about scifi or fantasy. Keep the discussions in. They are an equally important selling point of why we watch and why we are like the longer videos. Otherwise it just sounds like a short commercial about plastic. We love your videos and want you to keep the historical discussions =^^=

Just ordered some of these. Can't wait to do an unboxing review on them and a build video. Bit late to the party but oh well :)

There was a periscope in there, you could compare it to the periscope of a submarine but then with a machine gun.

Justin, if you're thinking of starting up a Flames of War army check out the "Flames of War Ireland" on Facebook. Plus which Johnny told you to play as Ruskies?

@dakotanowlin4226
@dakotanowlin4226 4 года назад
I've used a lot of them (both Zvezda and PSC) yes, it honestly comes down to your play group. I've had a lot of people put these together at the LGS and play then and there

@@Reshiram_The_Fire_Dragon I personally have never taken issue with people using whatever models they could and generally speaking the rest of the community seems that way as well. I'd say, play with what you'd like/what fits in your budget

Pronounced correctly.......Sh-took (Stug).....otherwise great video!
@ethan5354

Yeah, but you hear the "g" a bit more, not a hard "k" sound at the end. So like "sh-toog" but like an abrupt soft "g" at the end.
