My favorite is a 2 column verse by verse with the cross references at the bottom. Thank you for sharing these Bible’s Tim. Always appreciate your enthusiasm and zeal for what you do. Up until about a year ago I had no idea that there was a community of Bible enthusiasts and reviewers. I used to think that maybe I was a little weird for loving Bible’s so much but now I know I’m not the only one. I really appreciate this community and interacting with other like minded people. I am a recent subscriber that came across your RU-vid videos during my search for a Premium Bible. It has opened my to all the choices that are out there. I am a longtime NKJV reader using a 1985 New Geneva Study Bible from Ligonier. I love the NKJV as it is a literal translation and maintains the poetic flow from the KJV. As I am almost 70 I am looking for a Bible that is easier to read from a font standpoint at the same time getting one that is a bit smaller. Your reviews have been helpful and have pointed to many resources that I was unaware of. Thank you for your efforts.

I'm just like you when it comes to single column format. It just makes more sense to my eyes, and if it's paragraphed I'm able to focus more on what I'm reading which is the ultimate goal. That wide margin looks really cool!

I have the gray with the genuine leather and the blue pages. The paper is absolutely fantastic, I love the blue pages (mine ended up darker than I expected). The gray cover is nice and it's probably going to be durable but it's a bit thin and stiff. I got another Thomas Nelson genuine leather recently (thinline KJV with the red pages) and its cover just flops open. I love it. They've hit on something here with their page color. It might seem simple but it really adds to the Bible I think. Gives it a unique, old-fashioned look.

The grey ones are absolutely beautiful. And Thomas Nelson has probably the best leathersoft covers on the market. Good quality paper, very good print, and above all, very good prices.

I came across your videos recently during my search for premium Bibles with wide margins. This one helped me decide. I want the purple wide margin single column. As far as text block is concerned, the perfect one for me would be a single-column, verse-by-verse format. If I were to choose between the two, I would choose the single-column format all the time - even if it's in paragraph format for no other reason than this type of format appeals more to me. I do like the double-column, verse-by verse ones too. These Bibles you've unboxed are beautiful! Thomas Nelson is really stepping up it's game when it comes to coming out with beautiful Bible format options.

I have to hand it to Thomas Nelson Publishers these last few years. They've really stepped up their game in producing beautiful, high quality Bibles at affordable prices. And that grey bound verse-by-verse NKJV with the blue edged pages? I want it! Looking forward to your reviews on all these lovely Bibles. Thanks, Tim.

I like the single column layouts, with all of that space for notes. It seems less cluttered and maybe a bit easier to read. They all look very nice though, and nice to see some NKJV Bibles. I don't this translation gets enough love for whatever reason, but it is a good one. I think your idea of a "leather-like" video is a great idea btw. Have a blessed day brother!

Hey Tim, another great unboxing, man that last box throw had quite a “crash!” I definitely prefer single column for many reasons, in fact I’ll only buy single column bibles now. They read so much more naturally, I find double column reference to be way to much like a textbook. Love a beautiful single column!

This is a very hard choice since both of these new in my opinion are amazing. The idea of a wide margin is always appealing, however the verse by verse with the blue page dye is calling my name Tim! I will say as a Bible Rebinder, Thomas Nelson is really stepping it up. Excited to see more this coming year.

Wide margin single column really works. I have their chunky single column with Goatskin leather and it's a gorgeous bible, and I know you love it, too, Tim. Oh yeah, and I really do love my Schuyler Canterbury Slate gostskin bible!

Thanks for the review. Love the blue gilding 😊 Bible Publishers are going all out at the moment producing so many beautiful Bibles and we LOVE IT!😊😀. I like both the single column and the two column. No real preference for me.

Single column is definitely better for readability and not wrapping lines of poetry. But of course, the drawback is it often necessitates a bigger book size or a smaller font to accommodate the greater amount of lines and spacing.

I prefer the single column as there is room to add my own notes on the outside margins. Can you recommend a Bible with a single column that has at least 10 pt type & in the Amplified Version that is on the thinner, more carryable size? Thank You for your videos!

LOVE that blue dye, and they look very EZ to read. Only thing I'm not a fan of is all that busy art work on the side. But, everything else is great for the price. The Thomas Nelsons bibles I've owned who have the artificial leather have held up extremely well, and; I actually like some of the Thomas nelsons better than the pigskin or cowhides real leather.

(just seconds after @6:57 . . . ) Becca: TIIIIM!!! You've got some 'splainin' to do!!!! (Apologies to Mrs. W -- just couldn't resist.) I don't have an NKJV yet, but those definitely put some ideas in mind. At this moment, I'd probably lean more towards the single-column wide margin (I like how the references are "out of the way" in those examples -- great for a "reader"), . . . but that's always subject to change. I REALLY LIKE the gray (and gray/blue) color schemes on the two other Bibles. If Thomas Nelson decided to do the NKJV Single-Column Wide Margin Reference Bible in that gray (or gray/blue) color scheme (even in the Leathersoft), . . . OH YEAH!! And I like the idea of comparing the many different imitation leathers being used on Bibles nowadays. Especially since I've gotten used to Crossway's "TruTone" and Tyndale's "Leatherlike" . . . For those not quite ready to take the plunge on premium leathers (so far, just one Buffalo Leather), such a video would be greatly appreciated!

I'm a bigger fan of the two column center referece, but I wish the bold reference like in the KJV Concord was the standard. An imitation leather comparison review would be awesome! Lockman has been putting out some good ones lately too.

@@timwildsmith I didn't know another way to get you. My Bible came in from Paul's Leather Co. It is absolutely gorgeous and the leather is out of this world. I would recommend using him for a rebind or if you like one of their textblocks they keep in stock, grab one. The acorn color is beautiful and what I will get when I send one for a rebind. It is the most unique Bible I have ever seen! Thank you for educating me on the world of unique, premium, and quality Bibles, sir.

I have the double column wide margin and love it minus the gutter space. How does the single column stack up to the double size wise? Seems like it could be a nice EDC bible!

Precisely at what point in Providence did behaving like a prepubescent boy commend itself to the preaching of the Gospel? I get sick and tired of seeing ministers (allegedly) trying to be as much like the world as possible, without actually crossing the line. The dude needs to be out there selling World Book Encyclopedias, rather than implicitly bringing shame to the name of the LORD.
