Ok, my P1S was just delivered.... Let me say, between the top notch packaging, instructions and Labeling alone I am blown away. That being said, this video has been the most comprehensive video I think I've ever watched on RU-vid. Bambu Labs should throw you a bone and just use this as their setup video. You cover every nut bolt and piece of tape perfectly. Thanks a million!

The SD upgrade is a must. The new firmware changed how files are transferred to the p1p it seems, and I suddenly started receiving messages telling me I either had a problem parsing the g-code or the printer would instantly tell me the print was successful having never even tried. After getting ahold of support they told me to replace the sd card and the issue was solved.

Just wanted to comment. I just got my PS1 last week, they have changed a bit of the packaging (no more zip ties) and it comes with a Lexar 32gb SD card that ive had no issues with. So an upgrade may no longer be required!

Thanks so much. I just got my P1S today and while I went through everything and even printed a couple of things, I wished there was a little more hand holding. I also got the AMS. I saw those bowden tubes and had no idea what they were for (because I installed via the AMS). I still have a million questions, but this helped a ton. Thanks.

I've had the P1S for a few days now. Previously, I owned the Creality CR-10S for 7 years or so. I am absolutely stunned at the difference in print quality, speed and just overall quality of the printer. WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO UPGRADE!

Wait till you try a K1. Cleanest printing machine I've ever seen. That Said, my S1+ prints cleaner than my P1P and P1S. Just allot slower. Put an AMS on that P1S. That's where the real magic of a P1 is

OMG, I just bought the P1S specifically because I only cared about 2 things: auto-leveling and an enclosure, which makes it a HUGE upgrade from my Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus... and by watching your video, I came to realize that THIS THING ALSO HAS A CAMERA!! Yaaaaas! The price from Microcenter was well-worth it before knowing that, but now even moreso.

Ordered a P1S yesterday. This video helped me make my decision about ordering one. It will complement my Neptune 4 Max. I have had an original Ender 3 and an original CR10 before. I also wanted something my kids could use fairly easily from what I have seen. This printer seems to fit the bill. We shall see.

Don't know why but I had a screw in one of my spool holder screw holes so I had to remove that before putting the second screw in (figured it out after a number of attempts). Super video!

almost 3cm larger print area than the ender 3 s1 (x and y) but s1 has 1.5 cm more in height (which isnt that much). With all the features bambu includes with this, ...this is an awesome printer.

@@3DRundown Yes now that I think about it, all those features, and you get a little bit wider print area, and you only sacrifice 1.5 cm from the top, I'm kind of comparing my ender s1. But I don't usually print stuff up to that high anyways. I like the bambu, for it's built-in features, and how sleek it is. But on the flip side of the same token I really enjoy customization, and call me crazy but sometimes I enjoy fixing things and calibrating. So at the same time, I have my eye on the voron 2.4 I need to do more research and compare the two and really see which one would jive with me best, cuz upgrade season is coming ;)

Would love to get a comparison of your previously reviewed build plate to the new Bambu Lab build plate. The Bambu plate is 150% the cost so if the Hzda plate is equivalent it would be nice to save some bucks. Thank you!

I haven't used it yet, but I'm super curious as well. I put a Caliper on the HZDA and it's thinner than the Bambu, but I can tell you it's the real deal. I haven't had a single fail yet, from losing bed adhesion. Not even close

Great question, one that I'm hoping to find out. I don't see it being a problem, but, I suspect I may work with the door open, or the lid off, to keep temps reasonable. PLA can handle significanttemps, and there are Temp regulator fans, so, I think we'll have options to keep things under control. Nothing better than actual real use though, to find out...

Just got mine recently. I saw UPS walking up to my door carrying the box upside down despite the bright red "This side up" sticker. Puh! Wasn't a big deal just sort of expected I guess. EDIT: At the end of your video you mention upgrading the microSD card first thing. You didn't mention if we have to pre-format it before using it in the printer. Or does the printer format the card for us? Bamboo says to format to FAT32.

No CR-Touch is why. CR/BL Touch, is a must. Ender's and CR10's are really great printers. Mine run around the clock all year. You'll enjoy your P1P/P1S. Very nice machine. Some new things to learn.

@@3DRundown What made me move away was the troubles of installing the BL touch on my old cr10s. All tutorials pointed toward modifying and coding the software for the printer which is crazy and too time consuming for me to deal with. Just returned the bl touch. Now I gotta get rid of a heavily modded ender5 I cant seem to get working and a cr10s.

Adding a BL-TOUCH or CR-TOUCH is really easy. You just need 1 line of GCODE in your slicer, and, the firmware that supports it. I run one on all my machines. even old CR10V3, 5+, 3PRO, 3 V3, CR6-MAX, etc.

@@3DRundown I had two primary issues with installing BL touch on my CR10V1. The main was it was almost impossible to find the base firmware for it. You cant even really find it on the creality site anymore. I got lucky and did find one old version of the firmware on a google drive folder on some forum. It was missing many options probably because back then BL touch was quite new. The second issue was that my visual basic didn't have the button to compile the code that I had edited. Tried for a few hours and couldn't fix that. I ended up using the auto config tool the TH3D had but even then that didnt work. It would create the firmware I needed but the offset would be ignored. When I did the bed leveling with that firmware from TH3d it all looked great at first. But the issue was the offset. I would put in the offset and it would simply ignore it when I ran the program. It would be off the bed. I didn't have this issue when installing one onto my friends ender3. But its all in the past. I'm waiting for my P1S to now ship. Been almost a 2-3 week wait.

Great primer for this printer ... got mine a few days ago. Great printer despite not being able to bind it with my S5 phone . Won't negotiate a pass key for Bluetooth. Maybe need a new phone but no money left 😞 Still great just manually transferring .gcode files to the uSD.

You will be sending the files to the printer from Bambu Studio. Bambu handy will monitor or RE-print, something already on the machine

Same with the K1 and K1 Max. Probs cause you are eventually going to end up in there for maintenance and repairs. But it is a tad of a pain

@@3DRundown yeah, I understand that, but a securing-mechanism is doable. I have a PC case with detachable doors, they don't come off just by opening, you open them and then SLIDE to decouple them from the hinges. So you can open and close normally, but if you need to remove them it's easy without tools. Just printed the first benchy. Thanks for the tut again.... didn't want to mess up a printer on the first day..

A hard choice K1 or P1S, P1S is $260 more expensive for me and now creality will open up to Klipper but BL has AMS but worse screen and camera, but P1S has bigger build volume, aaaggghh, it just goes on and on!

There is no choice. P1S by a landslide. I do (finally) have a K1 on the way., The K1 MAX is super exciting, if it turns out to be reliable. However, right now, today, there is no comparison to the quality, track record, and proven performance, of the P1 Seriese.

Being a nightmare is great for my YT Channel and Udemy course! 😂😂 I wish I had it sooner, so I could cash in on the early problems. That said, peeps in my FB K1 group are very much enjoying their K1's, especially since the hardware revisions. Mine is on the way. But I Didn't buy it. Creality sent it to me. I DID however, buy all the rest of my machines, minus the MAGE PRO, which they also sent me.... We'll see!

I've owned many printers both resin and fdm, the one major weak point is that they include some bottom-of-the-barrel SD card that is the cause of so many issues newbies experiences. They're doing a disservice by including sd cards that crap out in weeks/months instead of just forcing the end user to buy a decent one, or heck, include a decent one.

I don't get it. They are worthless, and it criples $800 machines. Crazy. So, here were are, spending $10 extra bucks, to be sure our new toys work. Go figure...

quick question should i adjust the temputure when i print a file on the printer using the pla it came with?

Wise Men will tell you, to temp test each brand, and even COLOR variation, for each filament. I am going to tell you, I print thousands of items a year, at 220, on my P1P, P1S, K1, and K1 MAX. *IF* a filament shows a need, I will make an adjustment. That has proven to be almost not a thing at all. 220, is a magic # for these P1's

Just a quick question, do you have to do anything with bed leveling manually or will that all automatically be done by the printer and if it is needed to be done manually is that with the normal paper and leveling the points or differently?

The bed tried to go beyon it's lower limit and the stepper grinds. Bambu say's it's not a problem. Recent firmware update removes this, but, one of mine still does it. So fa, no issured from it. But, it's odd

dumb question here. Just got the P1S, how viable is it to put it on a swivel like what you have it on in the video and where did you get that one from?

It's not... I have to keep it unplugged, or, unplug it every time I turn it, when I shoot these videos. I suppose you could find a long flexible power cable, but, these Computer Type cables, are usually neither... I got this at a garage sale. I believe it to be part of what was once an old TV stand. It's amazing how many questions I get about it. I may need to start making them.

How so? I just did one on a P1S yesterday. Was exactly the same. The only difference is the tube goes into the back of the P1S, as opposed to OVER the top of the P1P.

Yes. When working with a P1P or P1S, you will almost never touch the screen. Everything is done from BAMBU STUDIO on PC, and BAMBU HANDY on your phone (I had to reshoot that part, as I used a less friendly word the 1st time! lol)

The AMS is a must. The power cable is a standard PC cable, you can use one of your chocie, but the stock one is a normal length. 6ish footer. BAMBU HANDY and BAMBU STUDIO, have everything you need, to use the machine. The screen is seldom touched. X1 Screen is super nice, and I want it, but, yea, your good with the APP

One thing I found annoying is that it runs the calibration, then updates the firmware....and Bambu recommends you re-run the calibration after every firmware update!! Why not update the firmware first and then run the calibration? Seems daft to me.

Updating the firmware, doesn't run a calibration first. If you are setting up your P1S for the 1st time, this may be the case
