What a night mare for you. I absolutely understand getting off the medications it's a horrible thing to have to go through. I hope your going to make a complete recovery. I can't believe your making this video, I sure appreciate your taking the time and continuing to do something you love to take your mind off of how awful you feel.

I just got into succulents and have been perusing lots of your vids over the years (the first videos I've found that don't give any misinformation and gives more specific advice, incredible) but I noticed you mentioned your illness in another vid and now, seeing the explanation, and also seeing how much better things seem to be years later now, it is just very good. I am glad you are still making videos

So glad you are off meds and getting better! Im so jealous about your Crassulas 🤢😄 and when it comes to words I’m the same way. I have been in this country only 12 years and always done excellent memorizing letters of words even when I can’t remember how to pronounce them.

I am so proud of you for getting off of your meds. You were on very strong meds and that is not easy. I was hit by a car and I take less strength med for my pain. I refuse to take anything else. I am managing and deal with the pain daily. Again, so proud of you. I love your video. I have learned a lot.

I'm so happy for you that the seizures have not returned! That's awesome! Thank you for this video! I bought the first three plants last December from a local succulent nursery and couldn't identify them online! Now I can look up their care! I had no idea those were seed pods! Good thing I didn't remove them! I hope you feel better soon Ashley.

I'm in the same boat when it comes to the meds, literally on the same ones. Also, have to tell you...you are so cute. I too am visual. Though I could never apply it to spelling, sadly.

I know what it is like to be weened off heavy medication. (not painkillers but something similar in withdrawls) No fun at all.. Actually pretty damn awful! But so glad to hear no seizures.

I know this is an old video, but what soil mix do you use for these? I just got a crassula cornuta pilansii, and I’ve been trying a few different mixes. What do you suggest?

Hi Ashley. I just wanted to thank you for your channel, all the information you have given has been so valuable as I have ramped up my succulent hobby (obsession). I was also happy to hear you are off narcotics but that that may cause seizures. I wonder if you have tried CBD? That is a lot of evidence it works wonders on seizures and many also use it for pain. Hope you live in a state where this is a legal option! Take care :)

Ashley, I'm so sad & sorry to hear of your health problems. I really hope that you'll be much better very soon and that you didn't get off your pain meds too soon. It's wonderful that you have your glorious plants to escape your illnesses when you're able to. I've forgotten what it's like to NOT be on pain meds. I've been dealing with fibromyalgia for over 30 years and sometimes feel like I must have taken a dump truck load of pills! I've weaned myself off of certain ones that I just couldn't tolerate the side effects of any longer. I, too, have traveled the path of having to take stronger and stronger pain meds. I've been on methadone for a little over a year and I think that it's done about all that it can for me. There are times when I don't sleep for 4 & 5 days straight. I'm like a zombie and can't remember much of anything when that happens. I began using CBD oil a few months ago. It seems to be helping my anxiety some. I have no idea what my pain specialist has planned for me next. 😐 In addition to the fibro, I have heart disease, COPD, kidney disease and am borderline diabetic. I've had two heart attacks, a triple bypass and a horrible "superbug," MRSA, for which I had to have mega doses of antibiotics. This past December 30, I fell backwards from a stepstool onto my back. I landed on a concrete floor! I have fractured vertebrae & more pain than ever. I'm 64 years old and live alone. My new succulent hobby is my main diversion from my health problems. I really hope and want this to help me. Please take care of yourself and don't try to do too much. Thank you for sharing. 💜
