What a great haul. I think you'll find the main negative of Victrix are the numerous mold lines per figure. Outside of the large amount of clean up, the amount of figures you get are outstanding. And they match well with Perrys. Great video, Joe!
That is alot of figures to paint. Looking forward to see it all. The delivery guy at the begining of video must be the delivery guy of the year award.👍
The backlog of models is building...but I am getting to the point with napoleonics that I almost have enough line formations ready that I can begin painting whatever interests me as opposed to what I have to prepare to get on the board and play.
Hi, as a visitor to Canada (family in Calgary) on my last visit I discovered a massive games store on the west side of town called The Sentry Box, had to pay a visit and was impressed by the size of the store and the extent of the ranges including lots of historical figures. Y ou may find them easier to use than postage from uk. Great painting of your existing figures, need to get cracking on my own highlanders, ...
As for the 1807-12 French, you're safe with mixing. The 1812 uniform was basically slowly phased in in 1813-14. Even by 1815 you'd still see troops wearing the older uniform. So mixing battalions of different uniforms, or even mixing some uniforms in the same battalion, is fine.
You should try getting what you need from The Hobby Bunker here in the US. They are located in Wakefield, Massachusetts and have everything you are looking for and may be willing to give you a deal.
Wow, that is a lot of painting. I have a few of these myself and they are great models, especially the lancers.looking forward to seeing how you get on with them, happy painting (and model building)
