On today's video we unboxed the iPhone 5c from 2013 in 2022! A loved one has a collection of older/retro iPhones and allowed me to unbox this iPhone 5c. It was interesting to see the differences on the packaging/accessories as well as on the phone. It was really fun to unbox it!

Design-wise the 5c is my all time favorite. The soft rounded plastic back is so cute and friendly and very comfortable to hold. And I liked that it didn't feel so precious and delicate so I wasn't ever stressed about dropping it

Honestly Apple should consider making another plastic phone like this, and plus it'll probably cost cheaper than glass (and stronger too).

My first iPhone was a baby blue 5c, it was a huge improvement over my old Samsung Galaxy II. And discovering iTunes was an absolute revelation, I still listen to music with that ap today, on my SE1.

You’re still using the first SE? How is the battery holding up? Ever thought about upgrading to the 13 Mini?

@@snackerslc- Battery is at 90%, but drains quickly. Would love to upgrade to an SE3 (I'm a very basic phone user), but don't have the money.

@@Yormsane I’ve had the 13 Mini since last month and I never want to switch back to generic size phones again. I really hope they make a 15 Mini or something next year because this year’s iPhones are just last year’s, except for the Pro Max which is the only 14 with the latest Apple chip and Dynamic Island. It’s simply ridiculous!

Ahh, this phone was the first phone I ever fell in love with. I remember being 10, absolutely in love with watching unboxing videos of this phone. I loved everything about it, from the phone's design to the fact that its box was very much like the old iPod touches. I once even plucked up the courage to ask my dad for it. I never got the 5c, or any iPhone for that matter, until now. I am waiting for my iPhone 13 to be delivered (thanks, Dad!) after my current phone died on me suddenly, and it seemed strangely fitting to come back and watch an unboxing video of this one. I was pleasantly surprised to find that people are still unboxing these guys! I am feeling really nostalgic right now and kind of sappy for some reason, lol. I will never be a fan of Apple as a company, even now. And I will praise androids for their many many virtues, but this brings back memories of a happier time, nonetheless.

Ah, this brings back secondary school nostalgia for me! I had a yellow version of the 5C up until my first year of college; the only thing at the time was that I had the 8GB version (which wasn't that great for mid 2010 standards lol). NGL, I kind of miss my 5C as it had good memories for me.

This was my iphone before I got the xr. It was a major upgrade! I got the 5c in 8th grade and got the xr when I was a senior in high school! I’m on the 13 pro now!

I used to have an iPhone 5c in blue. It looks like my iPhone SE 2020 in the same white color except for being smaller and thicker iPhone. It is a good looking iPhone in white.

I had this phone as my first phone in 2017 but the screen started to go black in 2019 amd completely unusable and cannot open. It was still fast tho and reliable when it worked.

It was actually a bad phone in some regards. It used the old iPhone 5 chip - so it was considerably slower than the 5s (it was released alongside it with an older processor from the 5). Apple, of course discontinued it sooner too with the 5, instead of the 5s - cuz the prior mentioned old processor from 5.

If you want to install old applications like RU-vid on old phones, you can use iTunes and Fiddler to get the old IPA files!

i dont know if you can see this but if you connect your icloud account on your current phone and the 5c and download apps you want on your current phone and then go to the appstore on your 5c and go to the app and hit the redownload button and it will ask if you want the old version select yes and boom there you got hope it helps

Look friend, take that iPhone 12 and put the same Apple ID on it as on the iPhone 5c, you will go to the shopping list on the iPhone 5c and you can now install the applications.

I had that one in the exact same color 😂 Ended up trashing it to pieces cuz it was a really crappy phone anyway and my ex best friend and I had tried replacing the battery on it cuz it was having a lot of problems but that failed and it made the screen unresponsive 🙄

Perdí mi iPhone 5c en 2018 y las personas que lo encontraron no quisieron devolvérmelo, incluso, intentaron engañarme para obtener la contraseña. Después compré el 7s, pero definitivamente el 5c era mejor: pequeño y súper resistente a caídas.
