Sorry for the essay, haha. I never comment anywhere but now I do have something to share! 😅 I will never forget how much joy the iPhone 5C (16GB / pink) and my other devices in my collection brought me back then and still do. Now I see I am not alone with keeping/collecting "old school tech". Early 2014 I bought the iPhone 5C (16GB) because the headphone jack of my Phone 3GS broke. Replacing numerous things of it would've cost the equivalent of the iPhone 5C itself. So I figured it was time for an update. I used the 5C well into 2020 (with owning a Samsung galaxy S7 for ~1 year in the meantime.) As I responded to another comment below: the colours looked more bleached when after exposed to a lot of sunlight, it's sad because it "dilutes" the original "coral pink" colour into a more "lighter coral orange yellow mix". As well as the phone itself overheated a lot even when spending time outside on the phone, even as low as in sunny 20 Celsius weather (anyone remember the 2016/2017 Pokemon go Hype?). The back case started to protrude after 1 - 2 years of normal use: it still looks protruding, cracks when you try to push it back into its case. I haven't tried opening the back of the phone itself, it might be a swollen battery preventing me from closing the back correctly. Nonetheless I remember being excited, seeing a white background and the "simplistic" modern design of the Messages / iMessage bubbles. No shadows, no "greyish" tint. It was the first time "I couldn't see any pixels" on my screen compared to my 3GS. Everything got a "modern" overhaul, the dock, the music app icon changing colours after every few updates (from red to white then red again etc.) and the 5C reacted faster compared to my 3GS. I didn't mind the "no touch id/unlock" feature since I used a 3GS before owning a 5C. That was a deciding factor for other people though. The only regret about this particular phone model I hold to this day is: I went cheap and only bought the 16GB base model without thinking about the software and apps etc. itself using up a lot of space. As well as I should've been more careful of exposing it to direct sunlight and should've taken a better protective phone case into consideration. I may sound like a boomer but I am only in my 20's.😅 All in all, it was a cute phone and I hope it brings you a lot of joy. 😊💖
Hello! Thank you so much for sharing & for your lovely comment. ♥ I agree! The color is more orangey than pink in person haha. I was actually shocked at first but I still like how vibrant it is nonetheless. 😄
I was planning to buy this ip 5c since my ip 4s just broke😭idk but i love old iphone cause its small and just love it❤..im try getting this colour cause its so pretty 🙏❤cant wait to buy it for fun😂
I still have (but don't use it anymore) my iPhone 5C in "pink". I used an original apple case with open "dots". Those free spaces / "dots" were exposed to sunlight when I used it, now the dots look more like a bleached orange coral now. ☹ But yes, this colour looks very coral orange/red in person..☺
@OrchidSongbird so I guess it's coral red then haha but yeah I had the white version and had no case because I was a crazy person who would actually walk around with no case on. Yes crazy person because I'm clumsy and drop phones a lot But nowadays I put cases on all my devices including airpods because I'm extremely clumsy lol...
I have the same one as u and a green one now as still use it for music the white one and the green one my mum gave it to me as I use for music again and other things and she got new phone
ngl the iphone 5c has to be the most cutest phone in the market (in my opinion.) but its kinda sad that not most people liked it because of the durability
