At around 4:22, is the MAGIC of this whole KISS thing. THAT. Experiencing THAT. That moment that takes you back to childhood, that lump in your throat, that excitement in your chest, that wave of nostalgia. No matter when it was experienced, that is awesome. Cool finds. Congrats you got to relive your GROOVES. Have a good weekend.
I remember years ago seeing this magazine for the first time at my best friend's house. Her older brother had a copy. This was four years after the movie in '82. The magazine was in pristeen condition. By that time, her brother had begun to grow out of KISS and was getting into heavier music. I told him what a huge KISS fan I was and he GAVE me the magazine. I can't tell you how many times I read and re read, that magazine. Unfortunately I lost it during a move three years later. Sure wish I still had it.
I loved this video!! Thanks for bringing back some really good memories from the movie and my early teenage years!! I was so excited when it came out I was glued to the TV!!
It does not get any better than that ! Great video. That should be a weekly addition to your RU-vid channel. Going through old KISS magazines page for page . Maybe even showing old KISS posters up close ?
Brant, congratulations. Awesome, awesome. Thank you for sharing that moment when you opened the packages. Fantastic magazines🤘🏻🎸 The poster shot/ photo is definitely from the Paul Lynde Hallowe'en special. Patti Smith rocks, too. Especially Her Horses LP. Ramones, Dead Boys and the Rezillos! All great Punk bands.
great magazines and thanks for sharing, I remember wearing out Circus magazine and ROCK Magazine Special KISSue looking at the photos and studying the articles, definitely have the same experience you are having when I see this!
I remember as a kid standing in the corner store in the magazine section reading both of these magazines until I saved up my allowances to buy them both , man I was 12 in ‘77 and the movie and the magazine were things that made me a bigger KISS fan back then not to mention the KISS comic books. And I also collected the KISS cards to get the big puzzle posters. That was aggravating but awesome at the same time. Man the memories coming back just from watching this video. My favorite album art was from KISS Alive 2 , always loved Gene and Ace’s pics on that album. 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️🤟🤟🤟
If I had more money to my name - I’d love to be a KISS collector ! Very inspiring ! Everyday it’d be Christmas meets Halloween ! A 9 year old kid - all over again !
When I was a kid around 6 or 7 1977-78 me and my friends believed if you saw Kiss without their make up they would kill you lol of course that's when they were more like super heroes or something to me then got into the music when I was 11 or so. Haaa good times
Love it man....I can tell you got emotional but In a good way, It's been great because whenever I do the Panel Memories of that year flood back to me & so many Kiss memories have re-awakened in my brain , I am so grateful for that, and watching you open those mags is what it's all about man, never letting go of that Kiss spirit, Re-awakening childhood memories & all that is so cool, Take care.
Who did you buy the magazines from? Could you tell us the eBay vendors name? Maybe you could get him some more business and help us to find a trustworthy seller to do business with. I really want to start collecting again. It's been a couple of decades since I did it. Now that the end is near, I am getting the Kiss Kollecting itch again.
36:25 Off the top of my head, only Rock N’ Roll All Nite, Shout It Out Loud, I Stole Your Love, Christine Sixteen, God of Thunder, and Beth made appearances. Hotter Than Hell somewhat made an appearance, but under different lyrics (Rip & Destroy). The European cut of the film has a different soundtrack, utilizing songs from the solo albums.
Peter got mad at Paul because he couldnt hold the acoustic in the movie during Beth, it was in his book haha, I think they should of had Peter do it personally
I had one of the biggest kiss collection of the 70 's in France until I sold it to another Kiss french fan I only kept the Meets the phantom mag the two japanese Music Life encyclopedias the Creem special Kiss mag and the Marvel comic book I think the best ever Kiss mags were Poster Magazines from Sweden
And I've got this magazine in perfect condition handed down to me for my brother it got handed down to from brother to me. My brother got it brand new back in the 70s
Been awhile since i watched the original phantom, if i recall the songs used in the film were, r n' r all nite, beth, rip & destroy, i stole your love, shout it out loud, and god of thunder at the end credits.
Hey pal nice video. So I saw kiss last night and you proven that they lip sync all I can say it was a decent show but I kinda wish they would have used better or more backing tracks because Paul did not sound good at all and gene was even worse just my opinion now tommy and Eric rocked the show was. Great with the pyro anyways love your videos ty
