I do like it. Real-steel accessories fit, nice weight and good sights. Just needs a metal barrel and slightly more realistic slide.

I'm afraid your best bet will be eBay. Those things have skyrocketed in price these last few years. If you're OK with a Chinese knockoff, those are available too.

The ambi slide catch absolutely works on the regular KSC/KWA USP .45 full-size. It does however not work on the Compact or P10 models.

I believe so. I havent tried personally, but the size and shape on the two different models would make it challenging to mount the safety on the wrong frame.
