Unboxing Mary Maxim Mystery Goodness 

I am making an afghan using red and black Mary Maxim starlett. the black was challenging, but not to hard. Get a neck light. The afghan is great. 10 rows double crochet red, and 10 black. It looks awesome.

The Reflective yarn was made for Lion Brand a few years ago. I'm pretty sure it has been discontinued. The Chenille Appeal yarn has also been discontinued.

I received the exact same "bag" and yarn. I'm going to keep only the reflective and donate the rest since i won't use it.

What a lovely haul! Bagoday was showing Nako yarn not so long ago and really liked it for a budget acrylic...I looove the Basic Stitch anti-pilling, but haven't tried the reflective yet...haven't tried the chenille appeal, but have used the Bernal velvet - curious how it compares! Super fun yarns to experiment with! Also, welcome to the yarnie community! 😊❤

I received the same thing this month. I made a kango hat out of the coal reflected yarn. It came out beautiful.

I love ordering from Mary Maxim, but I've never tried any of the yarn you got. I hadn't heard of some of the mystery bag yarns. I haven't ever ordered one either because I'm afraid I wouldn't like what I got 😂 This was a great one though! Definitely curious about the reflective yarn 🤗
