That is why I'm looking on how people work and organize their haed, fabric, and threads. I have the haed of the nativity too. So I'm struggling which one to start and to gather fabric and threads

I dont know how big they are or what your favorite count is for fabric but you can find them on the HAED website or I know a lot of people have gotten their fabrics from 123stitch. When it comes to a large project like a HAED I love the pregridded fabric. And if you ever start a channel shoot me a message and I'll be your first subbie🥰

You could totally do a full coverage. I especially love HAED's because I know once that little x is crossed it's done. No going back and detailing with back stitching or any half or quarter stitches. If you want to try one you should check out the quick stitches to get your feet wet =) You got this.

That's exactly what I do! The symbol chart is up front and the full chart is in the back😁. Although now I have pattern keeper I don't use the paper patterns. But yay I'm so glad I'm not the only one who stores this much floss for a big ol project this way.

@@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge I decided on HAED Hannah Lyn -Celia but haven’t ordered yet would like to get the mini but I tried to get KIT but I am not computer literate so no luck. I may call after the holidays to see if they can help me.

Some things may not have a material pack but you can always email and ask for it and it will take them a bit to get it done but Michelle is really good at getting things together for people all the time. Love Hannah Lynn! Her art is so pretty!

That's awesome that you were able to sell it but yeah I could totally understand regretting it too lol. Full cross (for me) is my favorite way to stitch. Do you have an android device? If you do you should take a look at an app called pattern keeper. It is a game changer when it comes to full coverage. It is pretty much the only reason why I have so many plans for the up coming year to start so many of them. Michele is pretty awesome and I am so excited for you and your new journey. @@AmyTaylorCreativitybygidge I've narrowed it down to four: Guinevere Had Green Eyes, Geranium, Alice and the Bouguereau Princesses, and Fairy Nest. I'm seriously considering adding them all to my rotation (gradually, of course, since I have to save for them). It sounds kind of insane but also makes it easier to pick because I know that the others will follow eventually. In that case, I'll probably start with Guinevere Had Green Eyes. My Instagram handle is indigo_lunar_bird. It's a barren wasteland at the moment, but there will be pictures eventually, hahaha.

It's in my shopping cart right now, haha. Good for you! What patterns did you get? I'm a little afraid because I just snagged two Theresa Wentzler dragons from Ebay, but if I died next week I'd be happy I had at least started all of these projects.

The first one is for me because technology and I dont get along lol, the 2nd one is for my youngest daughter and the last two are because my hubby is a game of thrones fan and it will fit our living room theme.

Mrs. Crochet and Coffee I love steampunk! And I thought at first jeez these prices are really high for the kits but after buying them I am willing to pay the prices. Everything comes to my door step and I don't have to worry about looking for fabric that fits or is measured properly. I literally have everything I need to get started except for a pair of scissors. Which of course I have millions of those lol. To me they are totally worth saving my pennies for😋

So in this video I actually ordered the whole kit from heaven and earth designs. It can be a little pricey to do it this way but I wanted to give it a try. Now I work from a master set and buy floss as I run low. With colors like 310 or 3799 that I know a lot of my projects call for I will wait for a sale and then buy a cone of floss. There are so many ways to kit up a large project like this. I hope this helps a little and if you want to know more ways just let me know. I'll be glad to share.

I start on the top left if it is full coverage. It is very rare that I start center but when it's not full coverage or doesn't have a boarder of some sort I will start in the center. A few things I've learned on how to calculate where to start if you want to start in the corner is use a ruler and a pin to make an x where you need to start. For me measuring is not my friend so I use a post it note. It is a perfect 3 inch square. So if you have a 3 inch boarder that works perfectly. If you have a 2 inch boarder you can always trim the post it note to the boarder size and cut it out and use that to pin point where to start. I hope that helps.

Zakiya Robertson my project that I did for my friends anniversary had like 5 skeins of 3799 and I thought boy that's a lot lol. Now I realize that was not so much. And way to enable🤣 I am going to try a page finish on dragon kin and then I will probably start. At least that is what I keep telling myself lol. But mother of dragon keeps looking at me lmao.

I couldn't remember the name so I went back into the video lol. At 12 minutes in I explain the binder which is a Dual 2.0 Case It binder that I found at my local Walmart. I found one of them during back to school and found my other one when back to school season was over and was able to get it at a clearance price. I love the way they work and I still use them today.

2 is not bad but it tends to start that way. 😝 I got the lady liberty by Hannah Lynn I going to do a new start for my birthday in July my first haed I started I just hit the have way point and started that in October of 2018. If you think about it I will have started 4 haed within a year crazy.

Usually, he would tell me "If you want it, just get it" but since it's x-mas... Honestly, I'm not really into the fantasy (fairies/dragons, etc.), they're beautiful images, but not really my jam. However, I love Halloween! So I'm thinking about Witch Way by Molly Harrison. Not super big, but I'm sure a massive endeavor anyway.

Yes they can. They call it a material pack and if they dont have a material pack for a specific chart you can always email Michelle and they are usually really great about creating one for you.

Yay! I'm so glad you're starting a haed journey!! I am totally in love (and slightly obsessed with HAED's lol) I have stitched on 18, 25 and 28 count. Right now at the moment 28 count 2x1 tent is my thing but when I go back to my 18 or 25 I love them too. If you don't like the coverage on 25 count but like the look of the 18 I say go for 18 count. You gotta go for your favorite coverage especially on a project you know is going to take a while to complete. Which one are you thinking of starting? On the HAED website everything is sold as a pattern. You can look for what's called the material pack which is the fabric and floss. If you want a kit you have to buy the pattern and the material pack. I hope that makes sense. The material packs can be pricey but heaven and earth designs has layaway options. Let me know if I was able to answer your question and what HAED you are looking at doing. I love to know what others are stitching😊

@@joeneukom8254 most of the time the material packs are options right next to the pattern. Try going to the search bar at the top of the site and type in the name of your chart along with the words material pack. Not all charts have the option but if you email Michele and let her know you would like the material pack she will make it an option. She has amazing customer service in my opinion. I used to be paper chart only but now want all things PDF lol. That program is a fantastic one to have especially for a HAED project😊

I bought two and I think if you can afford to do it... do it at least once. Just to get the experience and to see how much thread you're really going to use for that project. You don't have to worry about dye lots and as soon as the kit arrives you're good to start. All of my other HAED's have been buy what I need as I go.

I put the chart in plastic sleeves into the binder rings at the back. So my color/ floss chart is up front just in case I need it and the actual chart is in the back. I hope this helps.

Are you trying to order thru the heaven and earth designs website? If you are you look for the pattern of your choice and then you decide if you want a pdf file or paper pattern. Then you look to see if there is a material pack for that pattern. If there isn't you can contact Michelle and let her know you are interested in getting the material pack for said pattern and she is fantastic at getting you what you're looking for. When you order the material pack you choose your material and then they will send the right size fabric and all the thread you need for your pattern. I hope this helps if not let me know and we can try walking thru it together🤗

I realize now that you watched the HAED video. Okay I take it all back. It took about a month to get here. It is all suggested for a 25 count because most projects are super big. I do all of mine on the 18 count easy count aida. This way the grid is already on the fabric. Do you have an android product?

Creativity by Gidge no I don’t I was going to email HEADS and ask how I order fabric and floss. The only thing I am sure of is the chart...Mini Waiting by Selina Fenech. A smaller chart than the one I saw you open. I started stitching before you were born. Kinda got away and started knitting and oil painting. I have been so inspired by floss tube. My eyes are not so great anymore but I thought a HEADS on larger fabric would be doable. Thank you so very much for you time. You are very kind!

Oh yeah for most of their projects that have kits and if there is one you want that doesn't have one you can request it. They are called material packs and are pricey but I think they are totally worth it.

If you are looking for what I purchased here in this video the website is heavenandearth.com. There you can purchase just the chart or just the floss needed or just the fabric. You can also buy all three at the same time. It's a little pricey but to me it was worth it considering how long I will be working on this project for I hope this helps. Also there are a lot of other places that sell kitted up projects. If you type into your google bar cross stitch kit it will bring up all sorts of places like Ebay, amazon, 123stitch.com and many others.

I have looked at a lot of places like ebay and amazon and the thing is, smaller kits with everything are surprisingly difficult to find, especially plain cloth as most are pre-printed or stamped. I have come across one (won't mention name here) that includes everything but they are really tiny little things. I do want a small starter kit but these are too small (like for christmas cards etc).

I am not sure how big of a project you are looking for but I know of Heaven and Earth designs that (in my opinion) range from medium (like a quick stitch) to extra large projects (like a maximum project). I think another company is called Gecko Rouge... I have not ordered from them but I have seen their kits and they are really nice ones too from the looks of it. They may be something you are looking for too. Again I have not ever ordered a kit from them but I think they have similar sizes to what Heaven and Earth offers.
