I'm loving going back through older videos on this channel and those of Hugo and Sonya. Excellent value in this video with the items unboxed twice. Will certainly consider Will in future should I move into bespoke ordering myself.
Delighted to see you picked out some patterned fabrics for shrirs by Wil, I've followed him for a while now and his pattern matching skills are of the charts and it'd be a waste to not see and own the genuine articles of proof of his immaculate eye for design and aesthetics. Brilliant choices!
Just stopped by Rave while in Phoenix based on your recommendation. They have your letter pinned up front behind the front desk. He said that you are planning an eventual video your there. I look forward to it!
I'm surprised the packaging presentation is more thought through. It's like you got your mail-order from Amazon. But the shirts look great. There is nothing better than getting to choose the fabric. You spent so much money, you will always love your choice.
@@HeavyProfessor, rather than 3 or 4 pleated folds where the sleeves meet the cuffs, it's brought in with a bunch of tiny folds. It's similar to the "spalla con grinze" shoulder style on Italian shirts, that have the little folds (grinze); this is also referred to as a gathered style. So, if you take a look at how that shoulder is done, imagine that same gathered style at the cuff as well. I hope that makes sense!
Today is the first time I’ve starting watching your videos, because they popped up while I was watching other vids, and your dress style caught my eye; beautiful style! Anyway I just wanted to ask if you, and your camera person could catch more detail in some of your videos. Such as when you are discussing tailoring with your suit makers.
Kirby, you may not actually throw away the plastic sleaves the shirts came in originally (just getting them out of the video shot), but if so, suggest you keep them and place your shirts in them while traveling. Not only will the shirts be protected, but they also help reduce wrinkles.
You should take out the close up of the back below the collar because all I can see now in my head is how several lines of the pattern didn’t line up perfectly.
You own all these expensive shirts, shoes, suits, pencil sharpener, gold watch etc.. and yet you use a crappy box cutter to open your boxes. Odd if you ask me. I do enjoy your videos, keep them coming
Der Kirby, could you do a shirt comparison from the bespoke makers you have with the high quality Italian shirt makers such as Kiton, Fray, Finamore, Borrelli and Attolini?
Kirby, I need some help. Almost two years ago I was put on a beta blocker. It has caused my underarms to sweat. I’m going through shirts like crazy. The sweat and deodorant create somewhat of a crust overtime on my shirts. I cannot get a whole year use out of them anymore. I’ve tried over the counter sweat blockers. I’ve tried a popular sweat block from amazon. Nothing has worked. Is there a line of clothe that deals better with sweat? I can’t find a solution.
Kirby, nice shirts, but what is the length of those collars? Much too long for my taste. Mercer and Sons shirts feature a 3 7/16" soft collar and the roll on their button down model is more attractive than the ones in this video. There is really no roll. You might as well be wearing turtlenecks they are so high.
I do feel you do have a bit of OCD. Think you should find a local dry cleaners. I have never heard of somebody that does that. You live in a big city and you should find a local cleaners. Sending away for that is just ridiculous. The money spent on sending could be used for your kids college fund and believe me on a 429 plan it will add up by the time the child is 18. I
Is it "Gentlemanly" to walk with your hand in your pants pocket? I do it. Especially when my hands are cold. But I wonder if it's not particularly Gentlemanly.
I know I’m late to this party, but I just didn’t like how these came out the end. The collar that clearly doesn’t button looks very odd and it’s much too tall and sculpted. It has a 🧛♂️ Dracula collar vibe. And the un-pleated fabric at the cuffs looks blousy. It’s a miss for me.
Considering the price he charges, the shipping packaging is just appalling. The colours of the fabrics are sad. Beautiful craftsmanship destroyed by bad taste.
Shipping shirts like that just to be pressed is so wasteful (think environmental impact) and unnecessary especially when the shirts looked rather disheveled in the final sequence anyway!
Bob Harris I think Kirby is a bit young and this his RU-vid channel. I get it these kind of shirts are for the very wealthy people or those who have not a lot of expenses. For me getting expensive shirts made is a waste of money along with sending your dry cleaning to another state. I find great fitted cotton shirts at Macy’s. When he gets older he will find out money spent on dry cleaning your shirts in another state is kind of ridiculous. Money saved could be put to his kids education or could be used for other family expenses.
you razor bladed a new shirt opening a package? yikes. I think I speak for everyone when I say I'd loved to have seen a snapshot of your expression as the realisation sunk in.
