Great video, guys trying to figure out the front axle / cap thing are going to appreciate this. I hated that part when I got mine last month, and gingerly figured it out trying not to strip threads.

Honestly if you live in a city and are close to work--this is the way to go.This would have been great years ago when i lived in ATL--I spent about 90% of my time within a 5 mile radius for about 3 years--work--entertainment--etc all within a few miles.The off road abilities are also very good on these which makes them ideal in incelmemt weather or if you need to go off road.

This is a fantastic video. I unboxed mine earlier today and will put it together with confidence after watching this. Maybe compress the front forks a couple time before tightening the pinch bolts? Some torque specs would be nice as well but maybe it’s not as important as on a full size dirt bike. Great job!!

Thanks and glad you enjoyed it. That is awesome to hear! That wouldn't be a bad idea or take it for a quick ride then check all they bolts after the ride. I would say it is still important but they don't list any torque specs for the bolts but you can just go off standard torque specs for the size of bolts. Thanks for watching and commenting! 🐝

@@MeanBee392 Sorry bud. I f**K up the first time. My Jetson was a great bike. My Sur Ron is way better. If it was a little bit larger ( height wise) I'd be happier. Lots of power and too much speed. But I'll take it. I'm only 62. Haha!

Thanks for the great video. In the UK the front and rear brakes on bicycles come like the Sur-Ron. As it should be, right side front brake. I switch all of my bicycles around that way. Too confusing as I ride moto a lot

How much more can you raise the back suspension, what 21 inch wheel for the front do you recommend or other mods? Would love to see more videos on making mentioned modifacations or others that people have recommend. Considering getting another bike with the pedal kit and belt drive added so videos explaining pros and cons.

I want to know things like how far will it go on a charge, will it drain the battery faster on steep incline , what about mud and water, durability , what about price ? basically You told us how to put on a sticker

It can go a good 100 miles on a charge. Yes depending on terrain and riding style it can drain the battery faster but on the down hills it has an active braking that will also generate a small charge and help charge the battery a bit. The price in the US is 3,800 shipped but I didn't show how to put a sticker on I showed how to put about 9 stickers on lol. 🐝

Great video. Just got mine today. It had an extra wiring harness in the box, about 6 inches long with the same connectors like the wires that connect to the controller. Any idea what that is for?

its for the regen braking so basically with that wire you can adjust it and the regen means that as you hit the breaks it will shut off the motor so you can have it to where it will shut off when you brake or you can turn regen off and the motor will stay on and the wheel will just spin there are tons of vids on it just search " sur ron regen braking" you will get a couple vids that explain it in better deatail hope this helps :)

I just got a notice that mine had shipped and will be here of Friday. I already have new bars, tires and tubes, rear fender and faux pedal kit. I live on a military base and it has to have pedals or I have to put blinkers, stop light and mirrors and I don't want to do that.

Great vid guys! After having it for a while, can you give a good estimate on range? Maybe doing 50% of throttle (25 MPH), 190 lb rider on flat ground? I know it's difficult doing range tests. Just a ball park would be fine.

I just got mine. Did you feel or hear somewhat of a vibration sound from what I think is the chain. Even when you just push the bike without throttling it you can hear a little bit of vibrations. Also did you have to adjust the shock mine were a little loose. If so how do you do that? Thank you.

I did not notice anything like you are mentioning but personally it sounds like the chain could be to tight. The shock on this one was nice and tight and haven't adjusted it. Sorry that's probably not much help.

Oh, so that's what the pad was for. I forgot it in the box, thought it was a used decal or something. I'm not sure why the killah forks cost twice as much as the dnm on the web. I thought everyone in the US automatically gets it with the killah forks.

@@samuelsurreal6896 I believe I had to get some leverage and pull it put.. once you unscrew it from the treads it pulls out straight. I dont remember if I had to put pressure on the fork or raise it up to get pressure off of the axle so I can easily pull it out. you can try both ways. also it would be so much easier if you have another person to help you.

I haven't registered it but I've heard of some being registered as a moped. So far I haven't had a problem. This thing is way too much fun.

Being 6'4 it will be a bit tight but I don't think it would be uncomfortable. LOL good thinking and yes you can install pedals on them and they make a kit for it. 🐝

Is the front hub setup for two discs or is that something you need to replace if you choose to go twin disc?

It has the hardware minus the caliper and rotor but you can go twin disk on this bike. 🐝

This is not mine it is a friends. He got it on line from Luna Cycles. Segway mostly owns Sur Ron and they are the same I also believe the Segway has Sur Ron stickers on it haha. They are the same bike last I knew. Hopefully that helps and thanks for watching and commenting!

Is it heavy to lift? I live on the fourth floor and what's the approximate size in length and width....the stairway is narrow.

It is a bit heavy weighing just over 100 pounds but if a regular bicycle will fit then this Sur Ron will too. 🐝

Just put it together on ground level, then ride it up the stairs. You don’t have to lift it up the stairs and you’ll be having fun riding up and down.

imagine having a very high dense capacity battery at the same size as that sur ron so that it can make it capable to run for at least 200km of range, that would be absolutely great.

Only one problem with your dual rotor front brake idea. How are you planning to attach the second rotor to the hub? The wheel doesn’t have an attachment on both sides!
