Hey botajell. I noticed when i was Changing the rear diff fluid on the Losi 8ight buggy rtr. It only had 4 gears in it. It didn’t have another set of the smaller ones in the middle that over lap them selves with the little bar that goes across. If that makes sense. Was just wondering if I can buy the 4.0 diffs to put in it all the way around.
bassHopper yes you can and I will eventually do that to my Daughters RTR TRUGGY as well ! If you do 50 K diff oil on the front and rear diffs and 100 K on the center diff on the RTR it will feel like nothing still because of that but if you do it to the Race 4.0 Diffs that’s from TLR Team Losi Racing it will feel great!! Big difference between the two . You will be able to put more power to the ground with the 4.0 Diffs !

My LRP .32 was stuck with the piston up when I got it, I had to heat it and I used and Allen head to gently turn the shaft to get is BDC

Hey botajell can you recommend me a header and pipe for the lrp.30 spec 4 that I told you about that I'm putting in my savage cuz the hpi exhaust I have is connected to the header with the rubber tube instead of a gasket and spring .... in having trouble finding one that will fit the savage that isn't ridiculously priced like the ercm end bleed pipe Can't wait to see your motor screaming after you put the full tune on it. And do you seal your engines up when you get them ? Great video as always Botajell can't wait for the next one 🤙
Just picked one up, gonna throw it in the TLR 4.0T. Any reco's on clutch+bell with this engine in the 4.0? Prob gonna run the stock carb for starter and switch to the nova if I have issues.
Benjamin Sargent my Modified runs different then the stock one so maybe you will have to go 14 tooth instead of 15 tooth bell like me ? On modified 32 you Must Only use all 4 green clutch Springs from TLR and all 4 Max Life shoes but on stock 32 you can do 2 green springs and 2 gold if you want? And all 4 max Life or long wear shoes. I run 15 tooth bell always maybe you will be fine with that in stock ? But if you want quicker reaction you may need 14? Try both out and see what you like for the way you run! Again Stock 32 is different then Modified.32 ! Definitely Nova 41032 header for both stock and modded but 9886 pipe is a must for Modified 32 but stock you may want the 9853 pipe. Both are good . Definitely definitely definitely do 100,000 diff oil on the center diff and 50,000 diff oils for front and rear diffs !!!! Let me know what else you want to know?

Floyd Brewer good shit bro!! I had to bust push him a bit so he could do yours lol!! Take your time with break in. She may have more compression then others so try not to look for that low idle after your break in procedure when your up to a base tune. Remember they like to run on the fat side. It took me over a gallon to get my motor to behave. Call me if you have any questions?
Cardiak bro he told me that he has bin sending peoples money back and that we are all 2 years 2 late! He told me that it’s to much for him now since he has a full time job elsewhere. Neal used to mod engines and run a RC race track full time for years but the liberals have made it to hard for him to stay in business because of so many rules and extra taxes and fees and BS hazard material costs that are involved nowadays from the USA 🇺🇸 to Canada 🇨🇦 and from Canada 🇨🇦 to the USA 🇺🇸. He told me that everyone was affected even the manufactures. All these things have made it not worth going threw the headaches and doing this for a living anymore. He used to burn 15 gallons of Nitro a year and past 2 years he has burnt 1 gallon a year not including the breaking in engines. He said it’s very sad 😢 to see this happening. So if you mix all this with new generation ways and all the E word companies trying kill us motor heads off, it’s a recipe for disaster and failure but Not In My Book!!! Hey man great engine I just picked one up today think I might have it modified from RB MODS or TNS. But I'm hearing that these xtech carburetors are junk. I know Novarossi is out of business but is it still possible to get that carburetor for this engine.? Also I cannot find the 9886 pipe or the 41001, 41031, or 41032 headers for these... what is the next best header and pipe combo for this engine? thanks
I absolutely agree with you about garbage rtr nitros ruining nitro for people. My race fx royal and os engines i race with run forever and put down incredible power. The only time they ever flame out is if I have a hit on on my flywheel or if I have a clutch issue.

So act quickly before they get sold out again and go back on to Backorder again . Again the part number is DYN 0960 and it’s not a LRP part it’s a Dynamite part and it will work!!

AUSTINKILLS654 LOSI 5T will do both and more and it will handle the best in Dirt tracks But the Baja is fun as hell in the sand with sand paddles and can be fast as hell with some Street tires and driving it on the street !! I say get both but if you can only get one right now ? Go with the LOSI 5T and it’s so easy to work on as well! Both are great in there own ways I learned to love the BAJA nowadays I used to hate it when it first came out and today I wish I still had them. Nowadays I have 3 types of BAJAs but I used to have the first originals . Always kept my first 5T because it was great from day one 7 years ago and still today . Good luck!

Benny Lara i would send that .30 ZR to get Modified from RB Mods or TNS and then Modify and install a Novarossi 2 needle carburetor on it and find a back plate for it and your.30 will be a bad bitch like next level Zeeeeeaah

When i was into nitro all my 10 scale stuff had OS Max. Never had an issue with them and they lasted me years. My 8 scale stuff was all LRP. Another great, reliable engine. Both my HPI Savages and even my T Maxx was running LRP. Wow it's been 4 yrs since i got rid of all my nitros. Still having too much fun with the 5th scale that i just don't miss it yet. 5T is next on my list.. Oh yeah. Good stuff as always!!
Nasim Wehbe one day if you decide to do nitro ? Please go with a Truggy so you can run Nitros with back plates that will help you do amazing things that no Nitro MT can do trust me . They run the best and most reliable best idle best running and most rpm . Losi 5T is great bro and a must in your collection! You will love definitely love it. Probably best platform out there of 5 th scales just like the TLR 4.0 8T might be the best or definitely one of the best 8th scales. Braaaaap Braaaaap!!

I have a team AE mgt only thing is I have to run a spin start or pull start because I haven't found a way to retro a bump box for the chassis do you have any ideas bro
Unfortunately we can’t run better nitro engines that are sealed with back plates on or MT’s but try to get a decent engine with a roto or pull start to use on them . I also have a mgt in my collection with the .50 in it but I highly recommend people to get on and move up to the Truggy platform . Truggies will always our run , out perform, and out handle any MT!! But sometimes it’s fun to run a MT because there a challenge or it’s just fun to buy an old MT and rebuild it back to life just for the fun of the build so everyone is different why they still like to hold on to there MTs

Hey man! I was wanting to put a Losi 8ight t 4.0 chassis on my RTR and was wanting to know if it is a direct fit or do I need to buy other parts too? From my understanding the 4.0’s front drive shaft is at a different angle and the 4.0 has a different radio/servo tray. Thank you and I hope to hear back from you man!
Jaspal Dhanoa also the rear chassis brace is different and the 4.0 comes with lots of other goodies like sealed and greased CVDs and all 3 Diffs On the TLR 4.0 are different and better as well. It uses 4 spider gears instead of 2 like the Losi 8ight RTR and it also uses lightened outdrive cups and it comes with lightened spur gear. Plus better shock towers and shocks and all the TLR stuff uses better bearings as well. There’s a good few things that are different
Jaspal Dhanoa you should use the TLR 3.0 chassis for a Direct fit !!! If you use 4.0 you will have to buy a few things to make it work but it will work
TheBurky22 I would get a Modified Novarossi 28-8 from RB Mods or TNS today like ASAP! Also you can get a LRP X series .32 from A-Main and I also like the Picco Boost .28 but there finicky to tune for a newbie but if your not a newbie your good!

Use the Novarossi 51021/9886 pipe with the 41032 header also from Novarossi. There is another pipe that is also great also from Novarossi but I do not have it memorized but I can check for you once I get home and it really works well with the RB Mods modified 32! I was going to show it off in the future once I break my new RB mods 32 but I haven’t yet because horizon hobbies is messing things up with TLR and LOSI . I’m still waiting for the new TLR X TRUGGY to come out !

Bl!SS bro if you had to sand it down something is wrong seriously! Either you got a wrong back plate for it or you forgot to remove something off the engine? Did you see my past videos I did with that Dynamite .28 RTR motor yet? Just copy what I did and make sure the part numbers match up!! Do not fire up that engine before it may blow? Make sure you remove the little spring off that belongs to the one way bearing set up
If you put one of these in a Savage how would you start it? Without the rotostart plate or pull start wouldnt it be impossible? I am seriously considering this motor/Novarossi 28/8 (and I know how much you love the sealed motors lol) but how the hell would you start this in that chassis? Nick C please don’t use this engine in a savage especially if it’s Modified!! Slap it in a TRUGGY!! Way better handling in the air and on the ground and way more durable. Stay away from slipper clutch stuff and go with the 3 diff set ups ! You can use MT wheels on a truggy if you would like but the best is the DE racing light weight wheels with the Badlands 1178 part number! With a savage I would use the HPI 4.6 engine all day or a LRP 28 with a shit pull start or roto unfortunately!! MTs are fun sometimes and that’s why I still have a few left but Truggy is the best way to go especially for us NITRO heads that want to take things to the next level and show off to those brushless boring no soul no flavor gay ass E-words !!!
I would also use a Bone Stock Novarossi 28-8 with roto on a savage but a 28-8 with back plate for truggy that uses bump box will rev more and spank that ass of a savage in the air or the ground!

Hey John - Do you know anywhere I could get a replacement head button for the LRP .32? The official part number is LRP #38578, but unfortunately it only appears to ship to Europe from LRPs website. Can't find the part anywhere. Do you know if any other head buttons are compatible with this engine?

You're right, it would be cool to get Rick to custom make one, I'm just afraid the cost would be too high to justify, and would make more sense to put the funds towards a new engine. I may just get a modified Nova 28-8 from Rick. In your opinion, how does a modified LRP .32 stack up against a modified Nova 28-8 for bashing? I haven't really seen a lot of direct comparisons between the two. It seems Novarossi wins in quality, has better part availability in the United States, but I still liked the concept of a large .32 engine.

Karrie Bhurgari bro you know me already I say get all of them!!! Zeeeeeaah!!!!! That’s what I did lol ! Don’t get all at once but just start somewhere. Get 1 engine at a time . RCMAX is next level shit and over powered and you must upgrade everything on your Rig and it’s a beautiful engine and a must have either now or later it’s a must have! SkoPod is great as well and cheaper . Wish mine had the Trevor Simpson head but I don’t! SkoPod s were great torquey reliable engines for Go-Peds so when they got it to fit an RC I always wanted one and now I do. I will have to make my own outerwears for it. OBR G320/340 Full Mod is a great Engine also but not on the power or torque level as the other 2 engines but it has plenty of torque to push and have fun with MTXLs and Losi 5Ts and Vecta 5s ! Even a Full Mod Piston Port none ReedCase OBR can do the job !
I wish I could get all man I think in about the Skopod instead of buying the Skopod I'll build my own I'll buy the conversion kit and install kit and these guys sell a modded g62PU (skopod engine they start with) i think that what I'll do for right know than over time get all! ZEEEEEH

I'll build my own 70cc if I can aquire a alx or rcmax 70cc crankcase, but the parts I'll use are stage6 vforce3 reed valve, stage6 70cc racing cylinder, wj71 carb, ufc clutch, rcmk ignition coil, marine flywheel (not decided what brand), and bzm crank. Hopefully I get a alx or rcmax crankcase. Should work because rcmax uses the bzm crank and stage6 reed and head.

Jason Auteri hell yes this would be a decent and fun engine to use on your TLR 4.0 Truggy!! This engine right here if you get it Modified by Neal from TNS or Rick from RB Mods ? It will be even better trust me that would be next level NITRO but even in stock form it will fun . Pipe combo to use for best potential is Novarossi 41032 header and Novarossi 9886 pipe and you can run a 15 tooth clutch bell . Another great engine to use that’s better quality is the Novarossi 28-8 Engine and you want Novarossi 41032 header and 9853 pipe for stock engine and 14 tooth clutch bell! And if it’s a Modified 28-8 Engine you want 41032/ 9886 pipe and 15 tooth bell!! Let me know what you get because you will need to use different clutch springs . And you must use 4 Max-LiFe clutch shoes on both these engines stock or modified!!!!

Call Rick from RB Mods and see if he has a Novarossi 28-8 already Modified and see how much it is or get a stock one from Novarossidirect.com and send it to him or Neal from TNS and have them modify it for you . That would be the best way and best price for what you get at the end of the day. You can even try to find an LRP X series like this and ask one of those 2 guys to Modify it for you or just stay . Another great engine is the Picco Boost .28 but there more finicky not as easy for newbies to tune.
LRP is not going to stop the .32 they are just low on stock but you need to get some glow plugs amain is out of stock I did talk to them they are talking about making a spec 5 I just need to get some glow plugs for mine and yeah the jack dempseys like their tanks the way they want them. My piston was down when I got mine I did place a few drops of after run oil in it before I turned the crank shaft but I did at tdc place a few more drops and rotated it again to really coat the sleeve have fun with it...nitro gas forever RCing fun for life peace out

Roy Mariano it all depends on what motor you are Modifying because some motors will need a different carburetor or a Modified carburetor from a different motor and some guys Drag race and some guys off road race and some guys bash so the best thing to do is talk to the guy you like that has bin in business for a while now or from the guy that has done good work for you in the past like for me out of all the guys I’ve used my favorites are Neal from TNS and Rick from RB MODs!!! They have done some great powerful and reliable engines for me in the past and I have proof of everything I’m saying! There some new guys out now but I can’t say anything about them because I have not yet tried out an engine from them yet so I can not give honest opinion yet! Most of the time you have to let them know what your going to do with your nitro so they can Mod it to perform for what your doing like a drag racer that runs 65 % nitro in there Modified engines are night and day different then like a guy like my self likes his engines or a off-road racer that races at tracks . All different ways of modding Engines. Some guys give the motor more compression some guys lap the piston some guys DLC coat the cranks , bearings , Port the sleeve, change the timing of the engine, Port the crankshaft, sometimes give the engine a raised exhaust port. There are many ways for different people that like to run Modified engines.
Donald Byrd sure but I usually keep all my engines! I love Engines more then I do the RC itself! I rather have more engines then RCs in my collection in this hobby. You will never see me with any E words again like I used to have that’s for sure lol I’m sure you already know that. Maybe a Rock Climber ?
naveed khan I personally have not yet used mine so I can’t honestly give you an answer about that but a friend of mine liked it better then the past LRP carbs but he likes his Novarossi carb better that he now has on there !
The best way Bump Box! It’s a sealed back plate engine just like a race engine is . Stay away from pull , drill, and EZ-start crappy nitros ! Sealed engines run the best and you will be much happier with no headaches and longer runtimes
Get a LRP .32 instead or a Novarossi 28-8 or the new Picco .28!! Way better then 8.0 but if your restoring to original condition? I understand how you feel! Look on eBay
Jeff Welch I have mounted many LRP 32’s in MGT’s 🤣😂!!! You will need a roto or pull start one . Unfortunately you can’t run the better X series style LRP engine unless you have a power robbing and heavy oneway bearing setup to use a pull start.
Alien Bounce I hope Neal just needs a break for a bit and I pray that he will still mod some Nitro engines in the future! Rick is the oldest and has bin around the longest and I hope he still stays does what he does and keeps at it! He’s is also one of the great ones! I’ve had bad luck with 2 other guys that I won’t mention at the moment. There is another new guy out nowadays that’s doing pretty good things for the racers but I want Brute Power Not smooth power: and I can’t recommend him yet because I have not used one of his motors yet so I can’t give people my honest opinion!! I will Not Lie Or Make Shit Up and if there shit sucks ? People will know because I will never mention them or if people ask me about them then I will tell them. I only mention company’s that works great and works well so if I recommend them to others or my subscribers I know they will be in good shoes and most importantly that will help the Nitro RC hobby grow again!

Also try to call the guys that Mod Nitro Engines because they usually stock up on Nitros so they they have them in stock to Modify and sell to costumers . Call Rick at RB Mods ! I know Neal from TNS don’t have any extras and the ones he has already have owners for them!
Harvz B 👍🏼NOVAROSSI 28-8 is great and the Picco Boost .28 is great as well but the Nova is easierto tune . One day when your ready for the next step and want more ? You must try out a Modified 28-8 from RB MODS or TNS but TNS is not doing Work like he used to.

There Nitros did ok for them but it was not enough to pay for what they owed on the LRP electronics line!! Fucking E words bro. The owner said that there better off going bankrupt in Germany.
Yes the new X LRP .32 is race inspired and it comes now with a sealed back plate ! No more bull shit one way bearings with pull starts and roto starts . Bump box only .
ChrisXCXCX definitely not . Get a real platform like a TRUGGY . It will put handle any Nitro MT on the ground or in the air . For a discontinued savage I would recommend a stock Hpi savage 4.6 engine or this bad boy www.novarossidirect.com/TRUGGY28-8-Pull-Start_p_3461.html but I would not waste any money or time on a discontinued savage any more . It’s time to upgrade to better nitro engines with back plates bump box starts only on a Race Truggy Platform.

My friend Anthony the owner of LI Bash wants me to tune his AMR MODIFIED 28-8 and to see what I think of it compared to my TNS 28-8 and RB Mods 28-8. Do you have an engine from AMR ? If so what did you go with? I hear from some friends that he does a great job for racers the just race at race tracks and it’s more for smooth power. I’m looking for Brute Power I don’t care about smooth power bands at all. I hate being Cock Blocked know what I mean?? Lol! What’s up bro how you bin man? Mr. Sideways there both great in there own different ways and there both a must to have in your collection!! Also the Picco Boost .28 is another must have in your collection but make sure it has the 2 needle carburetor on that one because everyone I know with a Picco Boost motor with the 3 needle midrange carb has problems with it. LRP .32 and the LRP .30 are great engines
nosram .32's and all there motors are same as lrp ,its same company just dif branding,why dont u get into modding yr own motors seein yr engine nut,start on sime yr cheaper motors,if u have as many as u say ,give it a go,open a tns and see wat he does ,zeaaaahhh
