Hi, I am so delighted to see you got your bike, I loved your review video. I actually tested that exact bike just before Christmas, had it all over Wicklow, but decided to go with a TY Decoy Elite in the end. I already had a Decoy and gave my older one to my son. Don't pay any attention to people who rubbish e-bikes, I cycle much more now, cycled in all conditions all winter, get in much more runs, and my skill level has improved much quicker as a result. As a typical example, we can do four full runs on the longest trails in Carrick in under two hours! Because of the long long climb back up, there is no way you could do that on a normal bike! You will love having an e bike, best of look with it!! See you in the Hills!!

Thanks Cat, let me know if you want to borrow the Decoy, you could do a comparison video of the two bikes, the spec on the decoy is higher for everything except the motor, but is the very high necessity? Also, it has the new Fox 38, how does that compare to the triple crown? Would you notice the difference from 90 to 70 NM on the motor? I have my own opinion on all this, but nobody wants my opinion!! The Shred version of my bike won e mtb of the year on MBR, I think you could do a great job of comparing how these two bikes are on the trail. Ah I can see you had the classical Irish sun during the unboxing. I love the bike! A bit sad you did not go for the Orbea (it’s just because it’s a Spanish brand 🤪) but when buying it’s about buying what makes you happiest and you were in absolute joy!!

Ah lovely, the Comp is a class bike too. Yeah I see what you mean about the code r’s I definitely think the shimano xt on my Rallon are a lot better. I’ve heard the Magura MT7 are supposed to be very good...
oh love how excited you are :-D why did it not come with an coil in the back ? :o you said in the other video that you choose the s3. can you please tell me what size you are? i am 181 and cant decide if s3 or s4 is the right size for me.
I’m 162cm thou the Specialized site recommended the smaller size for me. The reach is relatively short and the stand over height is low so that’s why I suited the S3. I think maybe the larger size for you considering your height but maybe cross check the reach against what you’re comfortable with as that’ll be very important to have a nice feel riding the bike. Yeah I’m not sure why it didn’t come with the coil but it’s seems from 2021 they are supplying the air shock for some reason. Thanks a mill for the comment!
Hi, I am interested to know why you went for the Kenevo instead of the Wild as I am looking at bikes to purchase and watched both your Wild and Kenevo video tests
Thanks for watching the vids! I just absolutely and utterly fell in love with the Kenevo as it gave me so much confidence. The sizing was perfect and I loved the suspension set up also. Even thou they weigh about the same the handling of the Kenevo felt lighter to me. Saying that I would be delighted to have the Wild FS either but for me personally the Kenevo just clinched it .
A size S3 with 5'4", that's about 163cm? That makes me question my intention a bit now, as I was looking for an S2 with 167cm. That's 470mm Reach vs 445m. Hmmm... 🤔
It’s obviously all dependant in what you like obvs, any chance you could get a lend of one to try out? Based on what you’re saying I would also thing S3 for you but I wouldn’t want to guide you incorrectly! 🤟
@@CatMTBPilot I was looking for a possibility to test ride the Kenevo, but haven't found anything so far. A reach of 470mm on size S3 would be 43mm longer than the reach on my current bike (Banshee Rune), which I think would be a bit of a stretch (quite literally), and 445mm on S2 seems already plenty I suppose (almost 20mm longer). Decisions, decisions... It would really help if I somehow got my hands on one for a *real* ride like you managed to. Even most bike shops will only allow you ride around the streets, if at all.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment. I went for the size S3 which was the one I test rode in my previous video on the Kenevo. The Specialized sizing recommended the S2 but I preferred the feel of the S3. I reckon it would be good for you too, my partner rode the S3 and he’s 5”10 and he didn’t find it too small.
We rang them and one guy said it was a coil and another said it was air 🙈, at that stage I wasn’t going to cancel the order with bikes being so hard to get but I was disappointed it didn’t have the coil when it arrived I have to admit.
