This is the free modem Nokia Fastmile 5G from Optus. Watch as I unbox it then set it up to test the connection speed! You'll be surprised by the result! #5g #optus #internetspeed #speedtest #nokiafastmile #unboxing #5gmodem
Great Video! The Topic is irrelevant to my life but I managed to finish the video because your voice and the way you speak is so eggzoiting! Please post more videos.
Nice video! Had 5G for about 5 days now, I am on the fringe of my 5G towers yet I get a green 5G LEDs (before signing up I have an iPhone 12 and tested 5G in various places around the house and found a good spot). I get 400mbps tops with an average of 250-350mbps. My uploads are terrible compared to yours at 6-14mbps. Still, for my use case it's better than paying $140 a month plus a $300 new development fee for my new house to the crapshoot NBN to potentially get the same speeds. I'm going to experiment with having it higher (above head hight) on the window using some suction contraption and see if that improves anything further. Atm it's low (almost ankle height).
When I calling a persong through duo or any other internet calling app... the network not working... but when i remove the sim from nokia router and insert in other router it works... Calling recieving.. Please help me how to solve the router or any clues plzz
Good video, thanks. Thinking of buying this cuz theres a 5g tower like... 200 meters in away of my house and the "phone being a modem" kind a stutters sometimes and gives me high ping. Hope this device made by my country will help :)
Great video! I'm getting a "red dot (2:30 of your video) and no internet when I powered on the optus 5g modem. I contacted Optus and confirmed my service is activated so not sure whats going on. Also did you received a separate 5g sim card from optus? and did you activated this to get it working?
Hey, just curious about the stability of your connection. Heard a lot about it dropping out, or dropping down to awful speeds here and there throughout the day. Just curious if you notice it dropping out much
I hope it will work as good like our Netgear M5 that we have been using for few years but when I got this Nokia I cannot get any orage or green, only get read and connection cannot be established so I request a ruturn.
I'm right next to a 5g tower and it disconnected like 20 times a day, they have replaced Sim and the modem and still nothing is working and the ping has also gotten worse and worse.
hi sir ive been figuring out because my mom and dads phone are unable to make calls on facebook messenger, whilst on my phone its all fine. is there any settings i should do with the router itself? appreciate your help
maybe try upgrading the version of messenger installed or reinstall it? Cause if its working fine on your phone using ssme network, then it should be device or software issue
I received mine today and my dot appears to stay red, and does not change, I’ve moved it around my whole house and yet it isn’t working. Any suggestions? Do we need to activate & did you receive a sim?
hello sir i have nokia 5g router whose model number is 5G12-13w-B I want to know this. How to change the admin password of this router And how to block wifi qr code Please Tell me
i have this same kina looking one, but I dont understand what the difference is between gen 3, 3.1, 3.2 , and more importantly which gen is the one in this video (mine is same one)?
Hey thanks for this upload. I'm getting the same one from Optus soon as they now have a 5G tower nearby. I can see how it works with wireless devices, but what about my desktop PC and TV for watching netflix, does that require an ethernet connection ?
@@chip3324 No I had to return it as I couldn't pick up a 5G signal from inside the house. Oddly though I can on my iphone, oh well it's still the copper wire NBN for the time being...
@@tharr67 Oath, I've just got it set up today. There was no signal throughout the house. It couldn't access 5G or the 4G/LTE backup. Turns out I had to message/ring them in order to activate my service. After all of that was done, it's working. Orange LED in the current spot it's in, but pulls in anywhere from 100mbps to 650mbps. Did you have any luck with support?
Unfortunately, this device is defective in that it only receives text messages and cannot send text messages from the same router. We hope to update the system so that it supports sending text messages in the future. #Nokia
@@sofpatrick no i mean the 5G NR band not wi-fi bands , i don't know if you can see on which band it work because it needs a little technical information
@@sofpatrick ok thank you , to be more clear in 5G we have different bands which works on different ranges of frequency like band40=2.3Ghz band41=2.5Ghz band77=(3.3-4.2) etc but i think your one is working on band 40 or 41
I seriously have no idea where the closest tower is but this is an inner suburb, just 8km away from CBD. I would say this is apartment is not elevated, just almost ground level. But connection is consistent
DONT BUY!! This thing is trash!!!! The first day i got it, it got 150 mbps which is good but then few hours later it got below 40 mbps so forget the “50 mbps guarantee” and it also just stopped working!!! This is a BS router get NBN instead!!
