I used to get them for 1dollar from those thing where you put one dollar coin in spin the lever and hope you get what you get I have like 10 lying around but I can't find them
I found an original black tamagotchi from 1997 at a yard sale last weekend with the tag still in it (but out of packaging) for only 50 cents! I am taking care of it now after all this time. :D
My god used to spent so much of my childhood playing this. Its like a pet but virtual pet. But when he died I was crying so much... Damn nostalgia hit me

what's funny is the processing power of Alexa doesn't fit in the hardware you get. Alexas brainpower is at a central database, you only really buy the microphone.
This takes me back. I was obsessed with my tamagotchi when I was a kid, and I wanted to take it everywhere with me, but they were banned at my school (along with Pokemon cards and basically any other 90's toy), and so my mum had to feed mine while I was at school. Needless to say, she was happy once I grew out of it 😭
the very first thing i saved up for as a kid and paid for with my own money took me nearly 4 months and then accidentally left it in my shorts on holiday a week later and went in the sea with it i was gutted
it was but i just took my brothers and switched it with mine so he thought his had broke somehow ... then for some reason i traded it with some kid for his sisters babie doll car so i could smash it up and act like my action man had a car accident ......... i was a strange kid

*****, the blob is the default infant. Depending on how well you take care of it, the cuter it'll be when it grows up. When you play a game with it, it shows you a number between 1 and 9. A second number is hidden. You have to guess whether the hidden number is higher or if the shown number is higher. Keep it up, I'm anxious to see how well you do. Also, there is an official Tamagotchi app by Bandai that is basically the same thing. Lastly, that last icon you questioned is the scolding icon. You can yell at it when it doesn't listen to you. For example, you know it's hungry, but it won't eat. Scold it and then the discipline meter should go up and then it will probably eat. oh yeah, one more thing. As a baby it'll require a lot of attention. It'll require less attention later, but then it'll go back to needing more attention as it ages and gets close to death.
Thanks for clearing this up for me Paulo, I filmed this two days again and it has evolved twice, you're right that it needs less attention, but i got the damn chicken! hahaha.
I love playing with Tamgotchi, they are so interesting! I lost mine that I had when I was 5! I still remember my Tamgotchi that I named, Smiley. I really want to get a Tamgotchi again.

How to play the game: You have to guess the if the number will be higher or lower the first button is lower the second button is higher the Tamagotchi will be happy if it is right or sad if it is wrong! Hope this helps

I had as a 8 year old in 97 had a gen 1 yellow and orange. And just recently bought the same one 24 years later brand new . Same colour, same gen 1. Now I understand why my mom hated it! Lol
Lol. You're not to do anything while he's playing/dancing. He'll stop on his own. When you stop him he'll get angry as you saw there. I had one in the 90's and I loved it.
i have new batteries in it. I'm trying to follow your instructions, mine doesn't have a timer and it's still in the egg ? maybe something wrong with the buttons not not sure.
How do you play that game is you have to guess if the number that your Tamagotchi is thinking of is lower or higher than that number that they give you a is for lower B is for higher so that button on the left is there a button and the middle one is the b button
My dad died when i was a teenager, i remember i had a tamagotchi and i was taking great care of it, but i couldnt Take it to school and Poor animal died. I was so sad, i ask my dad to take it to his work and take care of the pet while i was at school and swimming lessons. Such a great memory.
Japanese company products, even if not made in Japan directly, are going trough strict production processes and quality control before it goes out to the market. Might be made in China but it's Japanese intellectual property and the selection of durable materials. If customers are sad than the company loses face as it's the same within culture.
not only tamagotchi i play alot of vintage toy like the eyeball its like slime in the 90s and baby fetus inside of the jelly its kinda weird but its a toy no one even remember it.. also tamagotchi have a holder in the neck zipper on it i go to school as t years old or 6 and its sound cute when i play it.. i was so smol

I am late, but that game you play you guess if your tamagotchi looks left or right using the a and b buttons, you do this 5 times and if you get more right than wrong your tamagotchi gets one happiness heart
To pause the Tamagotchi you got to go to the clock screen which is the middle button then you press both and right buttons at the same time and then it will say set and you paused the Tamagotchi
