I remember ordering a “do it yourself” pullip doll kit- and I never got it- I cried.

"This hood is the cherry on top of the cake because it frames her face and the beautiful rainbow face-up" ...and covers up her obvious lack of hair on the back of her head. XD

I really like her but tbh the back of the wig kinda bothers me.

This is such a great depiction of the different between child and non-child content. This is art, not a toy. No child would be given this to play with and most likely very few children get into this degree of doll customization at an age young enough to watch "kids only" content.

a bunch of years ago I used to follow this girl on flicker who had a lot of pullips and did gorgeous photoshoots with them. she was my age (I was in my mid teens at the time) and her photography skills were amazing... I remember being so enchanted by that. it was the first time I had ever seen those kinds of dolls too. I really couldn't get why I was so obsessed with those dolls at the time, but now that I follow a bunch of doll customization channels I guess it makes sense? jahdjahd but oh man, this is really nostalgic! I had forgotten all about pullips until just now. they really are so pretty... the girl I followed didn't do custom dolls, so seeing a customised pullip is kinda like merging similar interests from different eras of my life, wow anyway, the girl, like me, was from brazil, but I remember she imported her dolls from somewhere
