Thinking about buying one to reload .44 spl and .44mag. Cheaper presses out there but thinking of going for this one. Need die set, shell holder and caliper. Hope there’s not much more I need.
I just bought this item and have yet to assemble it. According to the DIRECTIONS, the nut on the ram handle is supposed to go on top of the press frame, not underneath it as you installed it. As you installed it, the leverage of the handle will be absorbed by the threads of the press and handle rather than the frame, nut, and handle as designed. Reading directions can be a wonderful thing. DOH!!!
I know you made this video about 5 years ago, but I just found it because I received my RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme Press kit last week. I appreciate you going through the assembly. I had most of it but I wasn't clear on how to put the primer arm together. Thanks for showing that in detail. In all the other images (including the instructions) that I've seen the about putting the press arm into the press shows the nut on top of the press. Is there a particular reason you placed it on the bottom?
Very nice job in sharing your new press. It was as though I was standing there with you and watching the unboxing. Thanks...think I will head out to the shop and mess with my RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme.Howard
Good choice, I have a rock chucker that I bought at a yard sale some years back, best 20 dollars I've ever spent. I'm know to your channel and it looks like you are almost in to everything.
thank you for stopping by I appreciate the support and kind words that you give my channel. all of my reloading stuff is in storage right now but as soon as I get it out I will definitely do more reloading videos
I think I like the Lee priming system for priming on the press better than RCBS. It just works better for me. I use a Lee quick change die system kinda like the Redding press.
I bought mine in amazon (RCBS store), I received mine with the primers pusher bag missing, I contacted RCBS straight from the technical support form in they website they never answer then I contacted support trough amazon and surprised me Bushnell answered and sent me the missing bag, this is the way I know RCBS and Bushnell are part of the same business group. Bad customer experience straight with RCBS, excellent and fast support from Bushnell. I never had a problem with Bushnell or Midway both with an excellent customer support.
Congrats on your new RCBS RCS, beautiful press. We're all going to look forward to spending time with you via your YT vids as you use that rascal... Continued success to you in 2016!!
thank you so much my brotha! I can't wait to get all this reloading stuff out of storage. the house I was looking at is now pending. dang. I may have missed out. oh well, God has a plan for us. I'm patient! I can't wait to see more from you as well in '16. have a beautiful day!!
that's a sharp looking press you got there Buddy looks very familiar LOL man the Rock Chucker is built like a freaking TANK its great investment well worth the extra cash you gotta spend on them but they should last us the rest of our lives I love mine I hope you love yours I still gotta build a base stand for my RCBS perfect powder measurer but cant wait to see you do some reloading videos with your New press !!!!!!
Wes Chaffin that's cool! I didn't mount it for 2 reasons. 1- I have it away on a giveaway and 2- I moved out of that house and all my reloading gear is in storage. Thank you!
Nice.... seems like a long throw on the arm.....I like the adjustable length arms on my Lee presses.FYI: If you are near a Cabelas they sell Sellier & Bellot primers for $22.00/ 1000 that's $10. less than all other brands. They load excellent....have not had a chance to fire any off yet.
Good job in the explanation! Do you know if there is a way to attach a primer tube of some kind, so primer can be inserted onto the primer arm mechanically?
Nice job on the video. I'm considering buying a rock chucker supreme. What are you impressions of the press now that you have had it for a while. I have a Dillon 550b but want to get a single stage for decapping and possibly working up new loads before going to the progressive.
It's excellent in my opinion. throws primers all over though. Another one to look into thats excellent in my opinion is the Lee Classic cast. Cheaper and doesn't throw primers. Not the breech lock (it's good too)
What happened to "You don't need some big rock chucker press."? Got tired of that Lee press from the .45 ACP video? I only remember because I watched it a few times. Your videos rock, keep up the good work!
thank you. I have some .38 videos. is do more, but all my reloading stuff is in storage. when I get into a place where I can get set up again I will definitely be doing more reloading casting type videos
thank you, I still have all my reloading gear. I moved out of my house and I'm in a rental. all my reloading-casting stuff is in storage. as soon as I get into another place where I can get setup I will and I'll also do more videos on that topic. thank you
Primers seem to go wherever they want, I have the Lee breach lock and usually catch about half the primers. I just sweep up what hits the floor after I'm done. Looks real heavy duty, although that's probably just overkill; I can't imagine loading any round that would require that much force, if it does I would have to say something was wrong. Although thinking about it, if you were reforming brass from say a 5.56 to a 300 blackout, that would probably be the press you would want to use.
+mrgearheadfromhell You're 100% right. This is most likely an overkill by a longshot, but hey. It's nice to have the POWER! ha ha. Or should I say the leverage. Just like in the power tool field, most people would choose 18 volt cordless over 12 volt. Same thing. We as consumers love power. The 12 volt tools are more than powerful enough for most tasks if used right. You can see all my reloading video's up to this point were with small presses. Thank you for stopping by!
@@jiujitsu2000 есть знакомые, которые видели как ломаюстся чугунные тяги у этого пресса..Это каким дебилом надо быть, чтобы нажимать с такой силой. Хотя возможно криво стоял сам пресс.
+WaschyNumber1 Thank you. I have all my reloading gear in storage right now, but as soon as I get it out I WILL do more reloading video's for sure! Thank you for stopping by! I paid around $140 for this on a black Friday sale.
+jiujitsu2000 only the press, i think the people her in uk Get pretty ripped off by the industry :-( I thing it would be cheaper buy directly from the usa plus shipping and fee
