I thought the comments were disabled intentionally because we’re dealing with such a heated, controversial topic as NOS stocks for Spanish milsurp rifles.
there are going to be some people cringe over this but I have had very good luck with running stocks through the dishwasher. this may not be the stock to try it on but it could also remove your water stains. on older milisurp stocks with organic finishes it tends to strip them as well as pop the dents out
@@The_Casual_Collector my wife works weekend and i have discovered that i can remove all the drawers and racks from my dishwasher which accommodates anything up to carbine length. I often run the dishwasher for my wife while she is at work. sometimes i even wash the dishes
I've had good luck with either using SOS pads on the stocks (and everything else, depending on how dirty it is) or taking it outside and using a pressure washer. The last pile of M43 Spanish Mausers that I got from Hunter's Lodge where probably the nastiest that I had ever gotten, so they got the pressure washer treatment. That really cleaned them up pretty well, then I blew them out with compressed air and cleaned the properly with oil and lube. I was surprised how nice the bores were on them after cleaning. The rest of the metal had some rust and pitting, and the stocks needed some work, but they were a pretty sweet deal for $98 rifles.
@kiotiugly2221 thanks for the tips. Yeah, I totally agree, I was pleasantly surprised on the bore of mine I got from them. I'm glad to hear that from others too.
You make a good point... Where can you find these and in what condition for how much... I'm of the mind that if I see it and can use it and have the funds, I am grabbing it.
I just posted a video and it has NO COMMENTS...What happened.? I did like I always do..No,Not for kids...Even did a age restriction ,Still comments turn off.
@@thewolfhunter Hey Brother hello.. That has happen to every on posting new videos. You half to turn it on in the set up. it use to be automatic but i guess you half to allow comments. Let me know if that works for you.
@RUSTYSURPLUS you know, I thought that until the 2nd and 3rd most recent videos, which I made public and had comments on, were suddenly off this morning. I had to turn them back on...we shall see if they decide to turn them back off again tomorrow morning, which will be roughly 24 hours...
