This strong gentleman surely knows what he is doing, however, anyone else should remove watch, rings, bracelet, etc. You could scratch the amp and you could hurt yourself.

You should remove all your jewelry when handling a piece of equipment, otherwise you run the risk of scratching the amp, and that would be a shame. Very beautiful amplifier, typical of Mcintosh
That is some nice stuff there. 2nd mortgage might get me there. If I had the disposable funds to put a system together like this I'd go the extra yard, and let technicians assemble the whole thing with a tutorial on its operation. Getting too old for the heft. Of course, you'd need a wrap the right space around it to fully enjoy it.
I agree, but I have seen people put the gloves on before they even open the box. I think they should put the gloves just at the moment when their hands are about to actually touch the unit, otherwise all dust particles will land themselves on the unit and not to mention may cause some scratches here and there, especially in the case of black piano painted speakers.

I think because it's meant for bi-amping, so you can and should use one device of these for one speaker: the 300w for high&mid tone and the 600w for low (bass) since bass needs normally more Power! , then another device same connection for the second speaker. That's it!
Question: I've noticed you switch On the amplifier to fire it up. But noticed that No load was connected to the 2 channels of the amplifier output? Is it dangerous that you could damage the amplified with No speaker or Dummy load connected?.

Thanks for your inquiry. Cages on or off is a personal choice. The cages protect the tubes and afford a degree of safety from the hot glass tubes. The cages may get very warm but present a reduced hazard of a burn injury.

Great Piece yes, but you should get an assistance to unbox it & move it (like you clearly recomended) but you did it all alone and that WASN'T wise at all though❗⚠️☝
I love Mac but that that is an ugly amp. And seeing one in person only confirmed it. I would take a 1.2kw or 611’s over this any day. This thing just seems like a big pain in the ass.
