Nice review, got the same amp and crossover as in video, got a Whaferdale Delta x21b double bassbin 1600w rms x 2,want to connect not overrating the subs, what will be the best way to connect?
@@lazziemunetsi1498 I believe only their smaller installation amps are full Class D (such as the PA500M, IA200/IA400 as well as their powered mixers and speakers), however I would recommend at least going for one of the Peavey IPR2 or Crown XLS 2 units, or at very least, an IMG Stage Line STA-D amp, if you want a Class D that will last, while delivering crystal sound
@@defaultyotis_x7528 hi. Do you think the crown xls 2502 would be strong enough to pound my jbl jrx 215 or jbl prx415 speakers? Would it make it sound better than the hybrid amps that I'm currently using? I do use a soundcraft UI mixer.
18H800 the perfect things is to know how to connect those things. Don't forget to put inside of the speaker the IMIX Professional Cross Over - XO-S1 or another one
Good day. I bought a 2nd hand b1800. When I switch it on I hear n slight modulating 60hz freq. I know these are not sq amps but I just want to know If yours has that slight wine. The noise is there constantly with only the amp and speakers connected without signal. It is also the only powered device that is on at the time
thanks, i am going to be doing audio videos next month. I will try to add the one you asked for. The PC control is with their other amp, i dont have that amp at the moment.
Help! For about 30 years I have been using a Technics se-m100 power amp in my studio. I am a professional songwriter/producer. Recently, the relays in this amp have become faulty, and I'm struggling to find replacements. Any ideas?
So I have Hybrid A4000 amplifier, whenever I add bass volume up to experience bass punch,it comes with Limiter (red light),who can I solve this so that I can full range of bass.Your help Will be highly appreciated.
cross over is about R800, audio interface ranges from R800 upwards. Personally i dont use the M-audio one shown in video, endless issues with it. Even my Behringer UM2 is more stable. I have videos on the audio interface M-audio showing the issues.
HI I HAVE A HYBRID A1600 I NEED USER MAUAL OR ADVICE WRT CONNECTIONS BRIDGED/STEREO/PARALLEL, AND IF THERE ARE ANY OUTPUT TESTS TESTS I CAN DO TO MAKE SURE OUTPUT VOLUMES ARE LEVEL, THIS PARTACULAR MODEL HAS 8 MICRO SWITCHES AT THE BACK WHICH NEED TO BE SET FOR VARIUS SETUPS. THANKS
those speakers are your entry level units. Mostly people rate them is low end speakers. If possible try get Hybrid+. The speakers that have the + are decent.
I just took a gander at the damping factor on the spec list. For a class D amplifier the numbers dont add up. I think its under spec, the whole amplifier. I wish someone would verify the data on this amplifier.
Your gain staging procedure is not optimised to provide the maximum dynamic range and signal to noise ratio through the system. Those two rotary control knobs on the amplifier's front panel are not volume controls, but input sensitivity controls ment attenuate and match the output level of the sound source with the nominal sensitivity operating level of the amplifier. With a correct system gain structure, the input sensitivity controls of the amplifier will never have to be turned up more than the 12 o'clock position. I highly recommend the use of a mixer in front of the amplifier, to control and monitor the signal level on the mixer's master output level meters. With properly setup gain procedure, the mixer and the amplifier should reach clipping point at the same time. To maximise the system dynamic range and ensure the best signal to noise ratio at the amplifier input stage, your sound source output level is set to maximum (unclipped) output level. On the amplifier side, for full rated power output, you start with the input sensitivity controls at full attenuation (turned down fully counter clockwise) and slowly raise them up until the clip indicators start to flash and then turn them down about 3 dB. This way, you take full advantage of the source maximum dynamic range and ensure the best signal to noise ratio (no hiss between tracks). The overall volume level of the system is controlled by source volume controls. If your speakers continous power rating is lower than the continous power rating of the amplifier at the nominal impedance, you calculate the power ratio between the amplifier and the speakers and adjust either the source output volume or the amplifier input sensitivity controls down, for the calculated attenuation.
