I think if someone is really interested it makes more sense to take the hit and buy the full airstep, much more connectivity, ability to link exp pedals etc. I ordered a lite but I'm sending it back and buying the airstep.
The Presets are at the bottom of the page and can also be used using the app itself. Also there are now 4 THR30 or THR10 presets for the Yamaha, THRII 1, THRII 2, THRII 3 and THRII(combo). The first one just changes the 5 presets and the others do combinations of effects. If you look at the programming you'll see what they do and how they're configured. Make sure you upgrade the firmware on the THR and the airstep first. Also you need to hold down button "D" while starting the airstep before starting the firmware upgrade.
Nice one mate, Fairly comprehensive review and well thought out. Have you looked at simply adding a WIDI master or WIDI Jack from CME to your rig? Provides direct communication with most hardware for when you’re not routing via a pc.
Good suggestion, I'm sure someone will find it really useful. For me, I only use the pedal for my VSTi's and therefore it's all done through the PC . . 🤔
Recently bought both the Airstep and the Airstep Lite, and will soon trial them. Watched your video (and a few others) first so I better know how to approach them. Nice overview and review! One thing worth adding: The „plain“ version and the „lite“ version can be coupled, given you 10 pedals in total. Not sure if I need that, though, so might send the full version back and just keep the Lite. Might also add a Widi Master to a couple of my pedals so I can use them with the device, too. That is, if I can work with the 5-preset limitation of the Lite. We shall see…
Yes, absolutely first class 👍 We don't see some guy throwing his arms around like a wannabe rapper, spending 20mins giving us his life story 👍😁. He provides a time line so we can skip the unnecessary unboxing stuff. It would be sufficient to say that it was double-boxed and bubble-wrapped. What would I do differently? When reviewing a product or providing a song tutorial, I would invert the format and begin with the performance. So often, we don't know what the product does and we have to sit through an awful lot of yapping to find that it's of no interest. Furthermore, those who are interested, tend to re-watch the performance and it would be more convenient to simply jump to the beginning. Just because we physically need to go through unboxing and set up, doesn't mean that the review needs to follow this format. 👍😁
