I watched tons of Midnight Green videos before the phones came out on Friday, trying to figure out what the color actually looked like, but when I actually saw it in store, I didn't like it. Too dark, not green enough, and just kind of unexciting. So similar to the Space Gray that even Apple Store employees had a hard time telling them apart at first glance. So I cancelled my preorder for the Midnight Green 11 Pro and managed to snag a Silver 11 Pro later that day. Loving the Silver!!

I think I like the fact it almost looks a bit White as well. 👍🏻

The Silver/White is a great color. It is beautiful and will go with all cases. The Gold is not as pretty this year as the Gold for the Xs Max, and the Space Gray is the same as it is every year. The Midnight Green is a disappointment--not nearly as cool looking as in Apple's promo materials. Good luck with your decision!!

I think the silver is the prettiest but if you want something new, get the green.

I somehow feel the iPhone 11 Pro Silver looks better than even the 12 pro series..the rounded edges give an extremely smooth experience compared to the square edges.

Hi @Wonnie ! I thought I liked the Midnight Green, but it actually looks nothing like the pictures. Much darker, really similar to the space gray. The gold is ok, but not as pretty as the gold on the Xs Max. The space gray is...well, space gray. It never changes that much . It is ok, but kind of boring...But the silver is stunning! Good luck with your choice!

The Tech Reviewer couldn’t agree more. Everyone is raving and reviewing the green but it didn’t excite me when I saw it. I’m much more of a white fanboy although it had to be said I do put a case on all my phones anyway. Thanks again. Hope the phone is living up to all you want. I was a little under whelmed when I saw one in the shops but I suspect the appreciation comes in actually using it with power and camera features. Have been tempted to shift to Notes but I would miss iOS too much and it also seems the camera now is as good if not better than Samsung’s

I had preordered the midnight green, but when I saw it in the store, I really didn’t like it. It only looks green in certain lights-other than that, it looks very similar to the Space Gray. Love the silver, though!!

Oh, and I’ve heard great things about the camera and battery life, but I haven’t had time to evaluate them properly yet. Very excited though!!

The Tech Reviewer hope so, coz i really want silver this time after using the silver iPhone X and believe me it gets scratched very easily that’s why went for space grey iPhone XS and now my heart says silver and mind says midnight green.

You should go look at both colors of the phones in person in a store, if possible. I thought I wanted Midnight Green as well, but then when I saw it, I was very unimpressed...

@@daniellasteel8863 yes it scratches easily on the Stainless steel part of the phone but as she said it can get polished out easily. Others colours don't have this issue

Hi Brooke! I had the gold Xs Max as well, and I agree--the gold for the 11 Pro series is not as attractive. And I probably wouldn't be upgrading from my Xs Max and XR this year except for the case reviewing thing :) But I am super excited about all the new camera capability! Can't wait to play!

The Tech Reviewer keep me posted how much different it is to the max! From what I see if I had the 6s/7 I can see it being a major upgrade. The max from last year will be good enough for another year easily. The cases.. well yeah... all the new phones get the new stuff/prints! But I’m honestly ok this year. I bought the lumee in a marble print and I’ve been loving my black otterbox so much too. So yeah... idk. It’s weird not getting a new phone but at the same time I just think I can make it another year with my max!

That is a good point, although there are other reasons to love the silver. It is just a lovely color overall, and goes with everything :)

I’ve found that the coloured ones are more durable to scratches.I had the silver iPhone X for a year and it sustained quite a few micro scratches on the SS band,although I was able to polish them out before I sold it.However,my gold XS Max hasn’t sustained a single scratch in a year.It still looks as good as new.I have now just got the Midnight Green 11 Pro Max.It’s awesome.

Totally agree. Also allows you to get the maximum trade in value for the phone if you polish it up so it looks new

Interesting. I also had the Gold Xs Max for a year and I never got any scratches, but of course I baby my iPhones and always have them in a case. For the X, I had it in Space Gray and didn't notice any scratches after a year either. This will be my first Silver phone that has stainless steel sides--fingers crossed that I won't get any scratches! Enjoy your new Midnight Green 11 Pro Max!!

That really depends on your individual usage. If you take tons of pictures or videos, or like to store movies on your phone, or have lots of big apps, then maybe it is too small. For me, it would be too small. My iPhone has 256GB. But for many people, it is enough...

No. The 11 is a true white, while the 11Pro is much more of a silvery white

Hi Douglas. I really don't miss the Max size--the 11 Pro is really the perfect size for an iPhone. I used to love the Plus size phones, but when the iPhone X first came out, with its much smaller bezels, it was a game changer for me, and its sucessor, the 11 Pro, is just the same. Great phone!

Hi Douglas. The 11 is a good phone--definitely an improvement over the XR. However, it does feel a bit clunky when you compare it against the 11 Pro. As someone who has both phones, I can tell you that I prefer the 11 Pro in every way. It is a better size, has a better screen, better camera...just a better phone. But of course, it is a lot more expensive!

The Tech Reviewer in your opinion is it worth paying the extra? For the pro ?

If you can swing the extra cost, then yes. I do think it is a better iPhone. I use my 11 Pro much more than my 11. But if the extra money is a real budgetary strain, then the 11 is also a really good phone. It just isn’t as good as the 11 Pro.

Well, to tell you the truth, the iPhone 8 Plus is a pretty great phone and if yours is still working well, you might want to wait until next year. The iPhones coming out in the fall should have 5G capability, so that is a good reason to wait...

Mine seems great so far. Keep in mind that there is a lot of initial behind the scenes setup that is going on, so your iPhone may be busier than it looks...and all that uses up battery.

Apples idea of gold is weird on these phones. The silver looks kind of white and the silver stainless steel on the sides looks so nice and premium.

Hi! I think the silver on the iPhone 11 Pro looks more white than silver-it is a whitish silver as opposed to a grayish silver, if that image helps. The space gray is a much darker color...Good luck with your color choice!!

Ne An I think it actually is a white that is slightly sparkling because of the matt finish. The sides and camera rings are the silver part. The white over all looks more like a vanilla white, compared to the cloudy blue-ish white of the Xs, but not as beige as the white that comes with the iPhone 11, if that makes any sense. I‘d go with the silver because it looks so clean. personally I don’t like the purple tint of space grey, and midnight green looks like mold to me.

Hmm...I've heard that. But I never use FaceTime, so it hasn't bothered me any. And the fact that a Chinese bought phone gives you true dual sim (as opposed to e-sim and physical sim) is huge for someone who lives abroad, or travels a lot. I find that feature very useful!

Hi Mohammed! The 11 Pro is a better phone than the 11--it has a superior display, superior camera and an overall premium feel to it. Both phones have very responsive touchscreens-I don't really notice a difference there. But if you have the money to spend, I would definitely choose the 11 Pro over the 11. I have both phones, and I rarely use my iPhone 11...

I think it’s the same silver as the iPhone 11 Pro, which I have and I wish it were “whiter”. It has a metallic-y pearl look to it in person. I like the gold on the new iPhone 12 pro, but I hate that back, looks like a band-aid. So iPhone 12 pro in silver it is.

Hi Martina. I have similar concerns about the Gold iPhone 12 Pro. The sides are lovely, but the back may be less so. I think I am going to get the Pacific Blue. I would actually probably personally prefer the Silver, but the Pacific Blue will be more interesting to unbox!

The Xs Max is a great phone, but the camera is not going to have nearly as much functionality. You lose out on the ultra wide angle lens and the night mode...

The Tech Reviewer the night mode works on iOS 13. And my friends convinced me to get the pro max so I will getting that in space gray

Well, the two choices are very different. Silver is going to show off the cameras a lot more, and match with basically all cases. Midnight green is a bit trickier to match case colors with, and it looks different in different lights, but it is still an interesting choice. It wasn't for me, however, when I saw the color in person in the Apple Store...
