I always get an extra kick out of Janet randomly mentioning details or facts about models since as a lady in a male dominated hobby, I have gotten A LOT of similar looks that Jordan and others give her! :P Well done on another fantastic model!
Love the incredible detail, accuracy and sound/light functions! The SP and ATSF versions look like winners, extra bonus included snubs and all! As usual, love the Rapido staff video acting + editing humor, especially all the little clever, baffling and snubby things: banana pointer, Janet calling out the “CEO”, anatomically correct NS Horse, underframe details look best upside down in the ditch... FOUR LIGHTS!
your gaining me as a customer.....I was a custom painter using athearn only since 1992.....I lost faith in Athearn…. METAL HANDRAILS!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!! Tell Janet don't worry! the CSX may have retired them but a lot of them still run in Brasil for FCA/VL! as BB36-7s....a few are still in CSX paint.
I watch these reviews, even if they’re for something I’m not interested in, as they’re so good. BTW, I saw your New Haven fluted cars at the Big E, they really are the best I’ve ever seen! Just got my first Rapido locomotive there as well!
Viewed the Seaboard System loco at Milwaukee Trainfest. It is gorgeous! 😍 Josh mentioned about the dampener on he trucks but I’m perfectly fine with how it is shipped. I’m just so happy you did a Seaboard System scheme! I have 2 coming & cant wait to run my tote boats! Thanks for all your hard work in making this happen!
@@rapidotrains I've just heard from my supplier, he get's them tomorrow or the day after. \o/ Then around a week extra to fly across the Atlantic and customs...
Beauty Guys and Gals!!!!! Rapido makes the best scale models on the planet, bar none!!!!! Now that I will finally get my Rapido F40PH in N scale, can we PLEASE have the B36-7 in N scale as well? I don't want to have to switch to HO just to get one of these AWESOME GE models.
It's actually four separate tiny LEDs that flash in sequence, just like the real thing. We have a design for rotating beacons that works a bit differently.
Was wondering if you guys are going to produce the special CP SD70ACU the 5 locomotives which take the military pride accross the system? CP 7020 CP 7021 CP 7022 CP 7023 CP 6644 The locomotives were unveiled for remembrance day on Nov. 11/19 they look outstanding..
"Our trains always look better when they are derailed and upside down in a ditch!" You'all have been playing "Train Simulator" again, haven't you? Seriously, great models especially the Santa Fe ones! Takes me back to the early days of BNSF on the Thayer Sub!
I agree with Jordan, Espee for the win! I’m sure the inevitable N scale engines will be just as great! (Hint hint) I noticed some DCC systems have an emergency stop button on them, like the NCE Power Cab. It would be interesting if the UDE could be set to automatically go off when that button is pressed.
Railblazer I have an Athearn Burlington GP7 that came from the factory like that. Pretty cool, as my controller only goes up to 12, and most decoders are set to have the UDE on some function above 12.
You guys should expand with a line of B30-7A's which were cabless exclusives to Burlington Northern Railway. Sadly they all got scrapped but you already have a base model with these to work from. I garuntee BN modelers will buy those up in a hurry since 80s BN is the most commonly modeled.
@@rapidotrains "so you're saying there's a chance" insert Dumb and dumber meme here. I too would have to have a few more B30-7AB's, even thought I have a few functional kitbash builds already. Would love to have a B39-8 in LMX colors to lead. Thrilled for the C30-7. I will have to bump my old Atlas units to the Crawford siding.
Those look like really nice trains! I was going to say that SP needs a new paint scheme because they look really drab. But since you said you liked them, never mind. I have to use the CC feature of RU-vid because I have to translate from Canadian into US. Ironic, eh? :) Greg in TN
I just ordered an SP unit from Western Depot, can't wait to get it tomorrow... Jordan, what color did you guy's use on that rail on the review track?? Looks pretty close to the real color of mainline tracks..
Wow Janet really knows here subject matter ,come on Jordan more revising !!!..........is that banana HO ???? was going to order another make of this Loco but will now wait for yours !!!
I just unboxed my 3 Conrail B-36-7 by rapido. I love the model. But I found that one of my engines were missing it's airhorn. Looked closely no hole or place for the airhorn? Anyone else find there's missing? I'm still very pleased with my models.
Sorry to hear you are missing a horn! Please contact our support department and they will help you. There is a bit of a backlog because of the RS-11 shipment but you will almost certainly get a response next week. rapidotrains.com/contact-us
@@rapidotrains pretending? I thought he was? I mean, over the years there has been plenty of star trek and Dr Who cameos in the videos I'm sure he is an proffesional actor 1st, and a model railroad manufacturer 2nd. I'm righ aren't I Jason? (time for a complilation video perhaps? )
Incredible models you guys. Wow! The Conrail marker lights look great to me as far as location goes. I'd guess the extra snubber will just pop off with a little work, otherwise these are a definitive model. Can't wait for mine to arrive! And glad to hear of the second run!
@@rapidotrains Ah! I just got my rapido horizon cars, Im Very satisifed, Thanks guys! The only complaint is that they derail on extremely sharp curves, Luckily my layout dosent have many of those!
