I love Squier guitars. That thing sounds great for 299. Simple setup and a fret polish is all it needs. Those riffs are killer, too! Nice voice leading and melody lines between chords. Keep it up bro!
Very nice playing man :) Love the guitar... I have always been a sucker for the big 70s headstock Fender necks.... I have a Fender Stratocaster 70s re-issue Mexican on the wall behind me... Need a little TLC due to some wear and tear... But seeing this I might have to buy me a Squier like this soon 🙂 KK from Norway.
I appreciate that so much! Yeah, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how good this $299 Squier has been. That’s cool you have a 70’s reissue. I’ve been starting to dig the bigger headstocks, too. Thanks again, and never stop jamming! 🍻
Thanks so much! Well, I don’t have to worry about my clip-on tuner drama anymore. It quit working not long after making this video. 🤦🏼♂️🤣 I still see no problem with leaving it on. I’m back to using the tuner on my board. I appreciate it again, and never stop jamming! 👊🏻😎🍻
I’m glad your Squier worked out for you! I’ve been impressed with all the ones I’ve owned. I haven’t done any tutorials for a long time. I may bring them back at some point. I’ve been busy playing road shows, so I may be a bit. Thank you so very much again for watching and commenting! I really do appreciate it! 🍻
nice guitar the one I got a very long time looked very similar (this was probably like 20 years ago), but it was a squire strat as well ... just sold it at our last garage sale. the bottom bridge came up and there was a crack in the wood (probably from sitting tuned for a very long time) ... I hadn't played it in probably 15 years
Ooh! I’m sorry you had to part with yours. Yeah, it could have been from sitting for a long time under full tension. Thanks, as always, for watching! Have a great weekend! 🍻
Your guitar looks more like a cherry burst compared to the one on Sweetwaters site. It's beautiful. My concern would be the body thickness when installing an upgraded bridge.
Yeah. It’s the Sienna Sunburst. It has a nice red to orange hue in person. I’m pretty sure the routing can handle a full-sized block, but I would consult with a tech to definitely make sure. Thanks for watching!
