I have one of these, easy to connect to Bluetooth, good price for sure and like being able to be away from the analyzer probe in the stack as I'm adjusting the burner on the other side of the boiler. The thing that bugs me is that the calibration due date prints on reports, I bought my unit in December so I'll have to send it for calibration in the middle of the heating season. If this will be your only analyzer, buy it in the summer! In North America, the calibration proof sticker on the analyzer is all that is required. The ability to replace sensors in the field proves that the unit can't deviate much from lab calibration if one has to delay sending it to TPI.
Hi Derek, Thanks for the purchase and the unboxing video. Can I just let you know that you can charge the printer with the same USB cable as the Analyser. The additional supplied charger is a fast charger for the printer but obviously, like you showed in the video, it is also a way of charging both at the same time. What you will find is, because there isn't a screen or processor, other than the bluetooth modules, on these devices to be powered, the batteries don't drain as quickly and therefore will run much, much longer between charges or battery replacement in the case of the SP620 manometer. It looks quite half baked to me, cosmetically it’s not very refined, the app is basic and quite clunky, it’s poor engineering to have 3 devices requiring 3 different power supplies (2 chargers, one battery). The tube sticking out the bottom looks like it will quickly be snapped off/damaged, I don’t want to have to get my expensive phone out in lots of places I work or in the poring rain in a meter box. That manometer seems likely to get lost at best its something else to carry about. Bluetooth is great but I expect a screen too, what happens in 2 years when I upgrade/forget/loose phone and it won’t pair to my new one? Or even my phone is just flat?
