This is an ( I believe ) world the smallest boombox. Made in Japan from TakaraTommy. It is named "SHOWA MINI BOOMBOX".

It has an FM/AM radio, and a cassette deck with a small cassette tape that can be recorded 5 minutes length of the music of whatever for each side. So you can record the special message to someone, like "I love you" or "Happy birthday", etc...
"Showa" is the Japanese era of 1926-1989. For this mini boombox, the "Showa" stands for the '70s and '80s, that what I believe.
I bought it through Amazon Japan. I hope it will be available on Amazon USA soon.

This "Boombox" looks more like a toy more than anything... In my opinion, instead of making it a 5 minute digital knockoff off cassettes, they should have made it into a micro-cassette player/recorder, as there are still lots of blank micro-cassettes around. This alone would have raked up a lot of sales worldwide.

This is A TOY. The company TAKARA-TOMMY ARTS is a famous toy company in Japan. Old-School items always bring our happy day nostalgic memory, and that is enough for this toy to be created. If the SONY or other company will do the same work, then they maybe make what you are describing in the comment. Like the toy dog AIBO created by SONY, it is a SUPER complicated and sophisticated robot dog and still, it is a TOY.

Erik, the tape is not for the bluetooth adaptor, but probably the recording system will be triggered when the cassette tape is set into inside of the boom box.
