William where did you get the working headlights from, mine arrived last Sept, it went back to silvercrest twice, give them there due the did all the did all the work that need to be done, the live injector on mine did not work sorted by silvercrest. been fired up around 5 times. Put a chain on the towing pin also fitted some more pins at rear and front, in process if getting trailer built. Big problem without any water board it was hoping to build a ramp to get it into the car, ramp built but weight too much for one to push up, now done a conversion to my trailer to be able to load and unload on my own.

Is it fixable ? There has to be some sort of way to secure that ..

What u mean did the crank start turning without the main shaft moving or something??

I fired mine up the other day, everything went fine except the steam valve fir the injector wouldnt shut all the way mike says the stem becomes thread bound before it shuts all the way they shipped me a spare, hopefully that will work so make a note of that. The valve for the lifter works just fine though..

I didnt get that far regarding the safeties yet it only ran for about 10 min and I was busy fiddling with the leaking steam valve

I have a STW 2: Burrell,no comparison.

Have you seen kingscale fire up video on it??

@@charleskendall6401 The Fire up video is what convinced me to buy it, lets hope it wii stand a few fire ups now that I have it.

@@williamburgess4732 I think it will be a decent runner, I hope I got mine late november and it's been to cold to run it so I have to wait till spring it's in storage packed with blankets all around it and quilts. Its gonna be a long winter ..😒

@@TheFowler99 I had a couple of issues that I fixed myself, other then that it's a pretty good runner I have a video of me driving it down the street

I use distilled water on all my engines, the steering chains will have to be replaced as they bind on the under side of the boiler, the links are too large for the diameter of the steering drum. Make sure to oil all bearing surfaces and gears, check your crank shaft, a friends fell apart, poor brazing. Poor alignment on the gouvenor pullies. Good to check this engine all over before firing.

@@williamburgess4732 poor brazing?? That boiler better be solid, supposedly they have been pressure tested to twice the working pressure, that's what the paperwork I got with mine said anyway it came with a certificate, did yours?? Did you get the conformity papers ??

@@charleskendall6401 Yes I did get the paperwork for the boiler, like you I have to wait for the warm weather so I am able to fire it up, it makes the winter seem very long, I have not heard from anyone who has run under steam yet other than the demo film, fingers crossed.
