Mike is the real class act! I hope he gets the royalties that he deserves. So sad the way Al, Ed and Dave duped him in 84! His bass playing allowed Ed to do as he pleased and without his vocals, vh wouldn't sound like vh! All the others made out like bandits and poor Mike was like a rodeo clown, with a smile on his face, lost millions in the process! And he stayed loyal to the brand! The brothers tried to get Billy Shean behind Mike's back. Sad when you realize some of your high school heros are trash. Hope they don't sell too many if Mike doesn't get the royalties he deserves!

Congratulations guys. That double album cleaning your weed statement brought back memories and a laugh from my youth many moons ago. Thanks. As far as this old concert rocker who saw Van Halen many times, Sammy`s the best. First few shows I saw, Dave was drunk off his ass and stunk up the joint screamin to the crowd "You sing it". Sammy`s still got the chops! Saw many of Sammy`s shows before Van Halen The best frontman, The Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar. Been a fan since 1973 with Montrose.

Got his solo album from '85 or '86 (had no name in Australia) and I read that Eddie played bass. Love that album and it had a couple of great singles on it. I need a re master of that for sure.

Awesome! Just plain awesome! The greatest Band in history. Both eras! They were the best before Sammy joined. And they were even better after he joined the fold. Incredible artistry. Incredible music. The King left us with so much magic. I still ache over his passing. But the gifts he left us! So cool seeing Sam and Mike together, doing their thing! Love these guys!

Take a close listen to “For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge”…the right channel is blown out. It’s particularly bad on side 2 (last three tracks, and glaringly awful on ‘316’). Bad stamper. All copies are affected…widely reported issue on RU-vid, IG, Discogs, etc. Warner/Rhino needs to make it right. Make sure to listen critically, with headphones if possible, not casually while multitasking. I’ve reported this issue far and wide…Rhino shut me down/deleted my comments on IG along with others who replied to my comments who experienced the exact issues. It’s really unfortunate, especially for those of us who were anxiously awaiting “For Unlawful…” on vinyl. Others are now reporting issues with other albums in the box set. Where’s the quality control?

Excellent news, I am very happy to see that the label finally listened to the fans, and remastered and arranged these wonderful albums in these beautiful reissues using today's technology in 2023.

@@ronnywilson2112 it’s unfortunate- was really looking forward to a true remastering, but this isn’t it. Maybe they went from the original master tapes but they didn’t fix the recording issues. Listen to black and blue from both the original album and this one. Both have no bass, which means they didn’t fix the recordings…

Van Halen, my favorite band for over 40 plus years. Ironically, Sammy and Mike have always been the two band members to truly appreciate and respect not only the band but the fans as well. Case in point, the only band members to show up for the RRHF induction. And here they are again showing appreciation. Love and miss Edward very much.

5150 is my favorite Van Halen album. Live Without A Net (Live concert recordings) was my go to concert VHS tape in the 80's. The vocals are excellent and having an extra guitar player made the band better. Congrats on the Collection.

Love it! I do miss the old days. Dropping an album on the turntable was a whole event. Clean the album and needle, make sure everything was good to go and look through the artwork and lyrics that were on the cover and sleeve. I am an old timer and musician, but I do the digital thing most of the time. Feels like I don't "listen" like I used to.

I met them back at live without a net. Those two are the most down to Earth celebs I've ever met. Mr. Hagar has got to be one of the kindest people on the planet. Van Halen left him at hotel and went rehersal because he was one minute late 😆 He was like my band left me. I can totally see why Sammy and Michael will always be tight. Does anyone know the current publicist for Sammy I have something special that I need to get in touch with his publicist. Sammy has to touch this massive project. I just know it.
