I snagged a pair during this sale. Service boot in Maryam HB. They look incredible. Had to restrain myself from buying a bunch. Enjoy the Chelsea’s! Great pick up.

Nice I got a pair of brown cxl service boots from the archive sale for 480. I didn’t notice any imperfections on mine but my eye isn’t trained very well since these are my first nice boots. They’re great so far.

You can pinch the leather where the pull loops would be and get the same effect haha.

It was a great sale. There was a lot of bastion shoes that I'm in hunt for but I didn't saw horsehide ones that I actually want so I ended up not pulling a trigger

Yeah, it looked like all the horsehide options they had were in their traditional service boots. Maybe next time!

So the ultimate question, Viberg or Briselblack? Would be interesting to compare to the other top tier chelsea, by Fortis. The lowest price wholecut chelsea's I encountered are by Rag & Bone, model called Spencer. I believe they are blake rapid construction.

I'd like to do a wholecut chelsea boot video at some point, comparing the most well known brands. I think I need to get a pair of RM Williams first though haha. The lowest price wholecut chelsea I've found is from Meermin(starting at $230). I think they are a great value for the price and they are also goodyear welted!

How is the instep on the 2050? That seems to be a major reason why it doesn't work for many folks, because of the high instep.

Honestly, I found them very comfortable. Granted, I do have medium non-collapsing arches, and higher instep boots work better for me. I can see how for someone with less foot volume there, this boot would not be ideal particularly as it’s a Chelsea and can’t be tightened down.

I did go true to UK sizing for the chelsea and that seems to have been a mistake haha. After wearing them for a while they are definitely a half size too small. I should have gone with a half size up from my usual Viberg size...

To put things in perspective you can buy THREE PAIRS of Meremins for the price of one Viberg. I think Viberg is way way overpriced. I have several SHELL CORDOVAN boots and they were cheaper than these Chelsea boots from Viberg.

I definitely love my Meermins as well, especially the Chelseas. I do think that Viberg Chelseas (at full price) are overpriced. However, their service boots are still the best to me.

Sorry for the late reply. It is a limited run Wallace and Barnes corduroy jacket from J Crew. I think it was last sold in 2022 but I'm sure you could find people reselling it on Ebay or Poshmark.
