Do I need to make sure it stays in dry or is this okayed bc my husband put ours up and I’m not so sure they can be out cord and all in rain???? So I got a tote cut 2 whole in each end and run each plug up threw the ends of tote and plugged it up so the plug would be okay but how about the rest??? Hasn’t rained yet since he has done it, I just don’t want to risk it.
Does the V2 have the Stand Alone or Travel Mode that allows you to connect your phone app to the camera via WiFi and view the live video feed without being connected to the internet?
When will be possible to have the Outdoor V2 Camara to record motion in the SD Card of the camara or the base? Very surprise that you guys have not fix this yet, I have solar panel that dose feed the amount of power to the batteries to do this but seems only is limited to records on line, the camara does not work for security purposes or is not so good as V3, I do wish you guys liberate this camara so can be useful for security and be able to record in the sd card of the camara like V3 and also in the base station. If I’m missing something or I’m not aware of how to set it up please advise. Thank You!.
Was sold till the detecting by temp changes instead of pixels. When it's mounted high enough to take advantage of the wider FOV no doubt that'll be too high to detect animal and people heat.
@@pickford7812 It's just that my V2 and V3's detect so much better via pixel changes than the outdoor's pir method. But looking at this it's not exactly heat detecting as in a temperature change but detecting changes in the images heat signatures. Will probably end up getting one. ;-)
I got the camera the other day and I really like it a lot. I've got the 2 Wyze Cam V3's and 2 original Wyze Cam Outdoor but with this new Wyze Cam Outdoor V2 is the the microphone problem. I know you guys listen very well but please fix the microphone issue ASAP!!!?
Also, why does it not detect light change like the other cameras? Neither does the doorbell v2. Neither will send a notification when my driveway light is activated, nor save a clip.
so since i have had these cameras i have had issues with connection every few days to weeks they disconnect fully, have to be reset and reconnected to there outdoor base unit. can we come up with a patch so these cameras automatically do this to there base unit? I'm also paying for the membership which isn't helping with detection in any way shape or form.

I ordered Wyze outdoor cam v2 bundle but two them now won’t charge. Call their chat support and today agent and no help. They don’t even have options. I really liked this product hence thought of switching my entire home security with them but with this service and product quality I am canceling entire order..
In my case, I bought the V3 PRO version 3 months ago and the function of accessing microSD recordings stopped working since the last update 3 weeks ago. The app does not allow you to access the MicroSD even when you have reinstalled everything (camera, network, SD) even the same app, for more than 5 years I have had simpler Wyze cameras it has always been very problematic to access the MicroSD but this PRO version came out much worse.
Hope it's better than v1 for connection. I love wyze but would not recommend the v1 outdoor. Also the mount needs swivel so you straighten out the horizon when turning down and to side the horizon is tilted.
I would buy/replace 2 cameras if you made a solar powered Cam v3. You could even put the battery in the solar panel. I have 1 v3 and it’s better than any cam I’ve tried so far. An integrated spotlight would be a huge win. At least keep the option to mount a spotlight.
it seems like it would be SO MUCH easier to just make a good solar panel with a battery pack to use with the v3 than to design a whole new camera in the v2. 🙏 v3 solar panels, please?
@@charleshall3973 but can I buy another outdoor cam without having to pay for another base station I am not finding an option to buy a v2 that doesn’t include a base station which I would guess increases cost but I may have missed that shopping option?
I can not see any events on my Wyze cam no more, it requires me to buy a service that cost $19.99 a year!!! Used to be free by only using a micro sd card . How do I go back to my old settings?
Constantly have lost contact with one of 2 cameras. I am 3 hours away, so the help desk is no good unless im in my property. If i lived there, i would not need the cameras. It is the closest to the the base station yet loses connection all the time. Im replacing the cam to see if it gets any better. If not will send the whole system back. I have the 2 cams, base station, solar panal, and thermostats.
However did they fix the issue of not be able to review footage without removing the SD card. Currently you can't review footage in Travel Mode. I ask wyze technical support and I was told to remove the SD and plug it into a computer. 😡
En mi caso yo compré la versión V3 PRO hace 3 meses y dejó de trabajar la función de acceder a las grabaciones de la microSD desde la última actualización hace 3 semanas. La app no te permite acceder a la MicroSD aún y cuando hayas reinstalado todo (cámara, red,sd) incluso la misma app, desde hace más de 5 años que tengo cámaras Wyze más sencillas siempre ha sido muy problemático acceder a la MicroSD pero esta versión PRO salido mucho peor.
@@Mike965x so if you scroll all the way down to what’s in the box one item is base station times 1 and in the past I’ve called Wyze and asked about this before v2 and at that time anyway there was not an option to get an outdoor camera without buying another base station I’m not saying you have to have a separate base station for each camera but it does seem you have to buy one.
Is the motion sensor still extremely inaccurate and very insensitive to motion distance? Then it’s a hard pass because the first version of this camera was absolute junk.
Very sensitive?? Lucky you, can't get my V1 outdoor to record much unless you pretty much walk up and smack it lol. Nice confusion calling this V2 with a starlight sensor and the indoor cams being V3 with starlight. Oh, guess they're separating indoor and outdoor version numbers but still.
last week wyze released their wyze app update , of course it came with bugs . everyone was mentioning that they weren’t being able to load up detection zones and that they were turned off for no reason. wyze released the app update a few days later to fix the bug. wyze fixes old bugs, and then new ones take its place. just constant buggy software and terrible products that will eventually be left in total bug hell. i’m seriously considering ditching wyze
And here I was thinking I was the only one with the detection bug on my V3 cameras. It's very disappointing that they weren't even capable of sending a notification to tell the users that they were aware of the bug and that they were working on fixing it. I posted about it on their facebook page and on their forum and they didn't even care to answer. I canceled all my plus subscriptions thinking that they were causing the bug and I won't subscribe back to them due to this lack of care.
I want to buy one of these so bad but my first battery camera is not good at all and I'm afraid to waste the money on this one. My V3s are amazing they just keep getting better.... a year ago I wanted to throw them in the garbage but you guys had done some major upgrades with the software and I'm glad I stuck with it.
So can the V2 be be an additional Outdoor Cam on the V1 Outdoor Base Station, or do I need to get another "Starter Pack"? Also, will the reception get FOGGY like my V1 did after a month of being in my backyard? Please reply and let me know...thanks🦧
Why buy something for the outdoors with no WiFi connection? Ethernet connection that's 10/100 but no 10/100/1000? What's the difference in cost? I'm sure I won't get answers just like in the Wyze subreddit but hey.. couldn't hurt to try, right?
It has WiFi connection the Ethernet is just for the initial setup with the base station. After setup you can unplug Ethernet and move the base station or leave it plugged in.
Yeah look very good, but after 4 camera none of them detect sd card, nobody talk about that,,and by the way it is made in china so not suprise of the problem
I learnt a lesson that I should never be an early adopter, I bought the wyze cam v1 for almost $55 and then within few months you release a totally awesome product that's just 15 bucks more and much better, I should have waited to save money.
Don’t waste your money on these cameras, have the V1 cameras and 3/4 cameras are bad within the year and then tried to get support for them and the only thing they offered was a $60 credit. Not worth it, buy another brand that stands behind their product and will replace faulty products.
Very disappointing. You have pay for a subscription to record more than 5 minutes of video and other basic camera features that most other cams don't charge a subscription.
You can pay any amount-even $0-for Cam Plus Lite to have video clips and Person Detection for your camera! We saw that most people didn't watch their cloud-stored videos and made this change so our resources can go to more impactful projects. You can learn more here: go.wyze.com/CPLForum
Wyze camera is garbage it’s a disposable camera i had to call Wyze cause the base of the camera wasn’t connecting so they had to replace the base and if you ever disconnect the wifi for the camera hope it will Connect again without it being bricked as in you can’t use it
Total garbage product bought it got it home. Bought it from Home Depot. Try to set it up in the base station was associated with another account selling used garbage. Two garbage companies, Home Depot, and Wyze camera
