Just under 50% of adults in the United States will struggle with mental health at some point in their lives. Many of us have or will experience some form of struggle in this area and those who do not, will likely know someone who does. Though prevalent in our culture, mental health has often been left out of discussions when it comes to faith and the church.
When it has been talked about, many times those efforts have understated it’s complexity and overstated incomplete simplistic answers. With that in mind, we wanted to open a conversation around mental health and it’s implication for all of our lives.
During this message, we’ll break down the stigma and discover the power of hope and community in this complex conversation. Ashley Pitkin shares her lived experience as a person living with mental illness through humor and honesty.
