They call him Butter cuz he's smooth and he spreads it all around. In his second start, Kendall Marshall sets the UNC record for assists in ACC play, finishing with 9 points, 16 assists, 3 steals and 3 turnovers.
Kwame Brown, Jordan Hill, Earl Clark, Xavier Henry, Wesley Johnson, and now hopefully Kendall Marshall. Who cares if the Lakers haven't had first round picks in like, forever? They have a habit of signing former lottery picks and then those lottery picks end up having their best seasons in LA
@battletron100505 I'm criticizing the scorekeeper, not the video. The assists that scorekeepers count is completely subjective and often generous when playing on your home court. "Officially credited" means that the scorekeeper at the scorer's table in this particular game at UNC happened to give Marshall an assist. Doesn't mean that it wasn't generous.
The first couple of plays, he just threw the ball to a big, who made a play. But then Kendall threw some dazzling passes, he is so good i have to ask: is he the best pure Point in the nation?
The guy can pass, but I still think Omar Cook can pass better than this kid. One thing about this kid is that he's a bit more patient, has better and smarter players around him and lastly, is not a hot head like Cook was...
That was Marshall's freshman year so not surprising they would lose to a tough FSU team on the road. Marshall really came into his own the next season with a team that was capable of winning a natty.
v1222 As you can see from this game, that was an incredibly lucky game for FSU, plus Dexter Strickland tore his ACL in that game, which along with the Kendall Marshall injury, ruined a season where we would’ve won the title.
