It's nice to hear from Anurag Kashyap for calling spade a spade. Currently film makers in the Bengali industry evaluate themselves on their own personal interests and always appeal to the audience of their support, instead of making films with good content like Malayali, Tamil or Marathi films.
@@vinamrawagle4592 Those two movies were his attempts to make a comeback. His problem has been "i have been wronged by the rigged system" syndrome. Pre 2010, Bollywood was his enemy, his issue was not getting enough funds to make movies, star system etc. Eventually, Bollywood gave him a chance, he got funding for Bombay Velvet, got Ranbir Kapoor. Even Amitabh worked with him in a TV series etc. Post 2015, he started abusing the Central government, taking focus away from his failure in movies and to remain in limelight as an online activist. There is a section of actor/directors in Mumbai who have under delivered in terms of movies in last 10 years. Manoj Bajpayee, Anurag Kashyap, RGV, Nawaz etc. If you notice, they have an opinion about each movie that becomes a blockbuster at the box office be it Pathaan, Kashmir Files, Animal etc. Either through interviews or Twitter or RU-vid they will talk about the success of other peoples films as if they themselves were involved in the making. They talk as if they know everything about cinema when it comes to others but they themselves can't make one blockbuster.

And your 3rd point where you seem to reduce Economy to the matter of Tourisms and Hotels - that's quite reductive and narrow , isn't it ? I mean what do you say . Dignity based on identity is linked with oppression based on ur identity just like dalita were historically oppressed based on their identity, black for being Balck and hindu for being kafirs where the oppresser hates u for who u r and nothing else Hence the dignity based on that same identity which refused to die and temple being the symbol that v all alive 4. Economy is a circular thing I understand that and i mentioned the major visibile symbols 5. Temple will become the one single visible unitary symbol which connect the diverse hindu fold , thought they r connected on abstract level. So when did this oppression happen and where ? Are you alluding to Mughal period? But the Dalits who are even now being oppressed by fellow Hindus have been denied justice . How does the Hindu itentity and its dignity remedy this shame which is internal . Is there any reason to back this claim or it's just a hope , or say a biased projection . History proves that one visible symbol does not guarantee unity and is not a cure of all divisions and maladies . Mecca and Muhammad could not guarantee a united Muslim brotherhood though the mullahs aspire for one undivided caliphate ! No single identity can subsume all other identities . It's impossible. It is in the nature of identities ( like class or group ) that there will be sub-identities ( like sub-groups ) . Why could not the Indian identity take care of all the divided groups - why can Hindu identity do a better job at this ? And even if your claim of oppression is true , why did not this Hindu identity coalesce in the past , against the oppressive forces . Why this same identity justified and justifies oppression on their fellow Hindus - the Dalits for example. If one identifies with a particular system , one is bound to identify with its ideas , its beliefs , its traditions , its basic framework and caste system is a inextricable part of Hindu system ( has been so for hundreds of years ) . One visible symbol can be made out to be anything because the meaning is not something intrinsic , the meaning is arbitrary and extrinsically attached to a symbol.
