A friend and bodyguard once said: "Elvis really loved everyone. Elvis saw it as a gift from God that he could make people happy with his art!" Elvis' mother once said to her son: "Always remember that all people come from God, no matter who they are or where they come from!" the world loves Elvis Presley. Nobody has more fans worldwide than the king. You can see this not only in the video, but I also read it in a recent report about three weeks ago. ru-vid.comiEVQE2k4eRU

@@ethandrood finally someone speaks some facts many tried to get elvis to take a break, focus on dealing with his health & get help the col included col didn't want elvis to do this special he knew full well this would not be good for elvis but elvis insisted col went to cbs and demanded an obscene amount of money for it thinking they would turn it down but they said yes it was at this point col started shopping elvis contract around to other management because he couldn't handle elvis' self destructive behavior any longer elvis did what he wanted absolutely no one told that man what to do c'mon who is going to tell **Elvis Presley** what to do or what not to do elvis was extremely reckless with his money & made bad choices in his life which led to him having to continue to go out there & perform i love elvis so much but stop with the whole victim narrative people it so insulting to his memory elvis was his own man he did what he wanted how he wanted when he wanted he was definitely a victim of circumstance but never one to the people around him he knew exactly who & what they were & he didn't care he loved them, they were his family elvis is the only one responsible for elvis elvis should've taken control of his life elvis is the only one who could've saved elvis sadly, unfortunately he chose not to elvis loved his life elvis loved performing elvis loved his fans & elvis felt like the most blessed person on the planet even in the end he would hate to be remembered as a victim to literally everyone in his life because it isn't true

Elvis would be dead eight weeks later, that’s why he was sweating so badly this would be his last live film performance. This song is a testimony to not only his endurance during great illness and emotional pain, but his celebration of his miraculous life.

I think you will find he did a hip shaking ending to Hound Dog the song just before this, which IMHO contributed to 90% of the breathlessness/sweating..

Twano, Angelina has sung this song many times. I believe she was 12 years old for this version. Most recently at her shows in Vegas on February 29, 2024. Prior to that she sang it at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in December 2023. Every time she sings "Unchained Melody" a new classic is born.

Unchained Melody: "Unchained Melody" is a 1955 song with music by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret. North wrote the music as a theme for the prison film Unchained (1955), ... Alex North (born Isadore Soifer, December 4, 1910 - September 8, 1991) was an American composer best known for his many film scores, including A Streetcar Named Desire (one of the first jazz-based film scores), Viva Zapata!, Spartacus, Cleopatra, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?[1] He received fifteen Academy Award nominations for his work as a composer; while he did not win for any of his nominations, he received an Honorary Academy Award in 1986, the first for a composer. He wrote the music for Unchained Melody as the theme for the prison film Unchained (1955),[2] It has become a standard and one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, with over 1,500 recordings made by more than 670 artists, in multiple languages.[3] First theatrical release was by Todd Duncan (January 19, 1955) and then by Liberace (February 21, 1955) I was a Righteous Brothers fan, but they should not have messed with this classic. My personal opinion is that Bobby Hatfield destroyed Unchained Melody. Al Hibbler sang this classic in a movie in 1955 about a black man in prison and did a great version of this ballad. Again, this is a ballad and was recorded by Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams, and the greatest version of all was done by John Gary. Now, after hearing AJ's version of Bohemians Rhapsody, I am sure she could do a better job arranging it than the version by Bobby Hatfield that she performed as a child of 9 years of age. I just experienced a short clip from Angelina Jordan's concert in Portsmouth, NH Sept 22, 2023, where she performed Unchained Melody that she rearranged, and it was glorious to say the least. I knew she would put her magic touch on one of the greatest emotional song that has ever written. .copyright

This is Angelina Jordan the most extraordinary storyteller in my lifetime. Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize Dec. 2023 Unchained Melody (AJ, at the age of 17 performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony December 2023 in Oslo, Norway) I watched as Angelina Jordan stepped onto the stage, her presence commanding attention. The room hushed, anticipation hanging in the air like a delicate thread. She stood there, a young girl with an old soul, ready to weave magic with her voice. As the first notes of "Unchained Melody" filled the room, time seemed to slow. Angelina's voice wrapped around each word, infusing them with a depth that transcended mere lyrics. It was as though the song had been written for her, and her alone. The audience held its breath as she sang. Her voice soared, reaching heights that touched the heavens. The pain and longing in her eyes mirrored the emotions in the song-the heartache, the yearning. It was more than a performance; it was a revelation. The chorus came, and Angelina's voice swelled, filling every corner of the room. " Oh, my love, my darling I've hungered, hungered for your touch," she sang, and suddenly, we all felt the real meaning of the words. The magic in her performance was like nothing we had ever experienced in our lives. The lyrics came alive and had meaning as they flowed through us. In that moment, Angelina Jordan became a vessel for something greater-an embodiment of love itself. Her voice carried us beyond our own pain and loneliness. We felt connected-to her, to each other, to something intangible yet profound. As she held that final note, time snapped back into place. The applause erupted-a thunderous acknowledgment of what we had just witnessed. But it wasn't just applause; it was gratitude-for allowing us to glimpse love and longing through Angelina's eyes. And so, we stood there, hearts full, tears in our eyes. Angelina Jordan had given us something rare-a reminder that love exists even in our brokenness. And for those few minutes, we believed it with every fiber of our being. (CopyRight) .

Elvis did not claim he just wrote this song, what he said was : "I just recorded this song and it will be out in a couple weeks" In 1955 Unchained Melody had three versions of the song (by Les Baxter, Al Hibbler, and Roy Hamilton) charted in the Billboard top 10 in the United States,[5] and four versions (by Al Hibbler, Les Baxter, Jimmy Young, and Liberace) appeared in the top 20 The song's publishing administrator said over 1,500 recordings of "Unchained Melody" have been made by more than 670 artists, in multiple languages. As far as the zooming in on Elvis' face thats just to show the emotion and power as he sings .....Elvis was bloated and overweight, he knew it, his fans knew it and the director knew it....the sweat on his face was not an unusual sight....the jumpsuits weighed as high as 80 pounds and the capes weighed as much as as 60 pounds when he was wearing the capes. So if you are packing 140 pounds on your back while you give a very mobile performance it will make you sweat I must say I did not much enjoy the Angie Jordan clip you posted, her voice sound thin and weak at times....

Team, thanks for the information. I definitely will check it out. Look up Celine Dion. She is known for her skilled and powerful vocals. She also started singing at an early age. Elvis really liked Roy Hamilton and was influenced by his style. Check out Al Hibler and Hamilton’s versions.I believe they both recorded it in 1955, ‘56. Also, check out Roy Hamilton’s Don’t Let Go. Loved it ! Elvis is my all time favorite, but like all kinds of music: before Elvis I was a blues fan. Am an 84 year (young) WW. Became a rap fan when Ice-T came on the scene. Have to keep an open mind or one ages quickly.

I don’t know who Angelina is, but I am certain people will not be talking about her 47 years after her death. Your generation is so used to editing, re-editing, dubbing and pyrotechnics that you have a difficult time accepting reality. Elvis’s performences were so intense that he often perspired. I don’t understand why you are “so taken” with this girl. Crush? You ARE going to be surprised!!! Elvis is an ECHO THAt Will NEVER DIE!!!Words of a black Reverend whose choir Elvis sang in as a youth. I do appreciate the fact that you are willing to listen to past performers. However, I do realize that likes and donations have a lot to do with your choices.
@paulwagner9303
@paulwagner9303 5 месяцев назад
Your advantage is that we can't check whether you're right or not, because 47 years after her death none of us will be around (she's 18yo now). Maybe that's exactly why Angelina won't be famous - the lack of autotune/melodyne, lipsyncing, backup dancers, pyro, fancy dresses etc. At her Portsmouth concert last year they tried to dub her and she immediately stopped singing, saying "I do not do that. I always sing live". She is deeply rooted in jazz, bringing the Queens of Jazz and Soul back to the stage - but she is also a huge Elvis fan - along with Frank Sinatra he is her biggest male inspiration. She says it herself in this video, performing on the same stage in Vegas that was Elvis' residency ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PowUe38vW3I.html . You might want to try her tribute video to Elvis (Suspicious Minds) that she made when the Elvis biopic came out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RTbKhkceR00.html . Her performance of Unchained Melody at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert was a fusion of the 1955 original with the Righteous Brothers and this very Elvis performance ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XxduGSjAJCo.html . So this early recording Twano shows (she was 12 yo) is a sort of foreshadowing.

No doubt she has a beautiful voice. But I would love for you to react to Kelly Clarkson singing this song as well. It's a shorter version as Kelly Clarkson does what she calls Kellyoke segments on her show daily. Kelly Clarkson is an incredible singer who can sing anything, including Whitney Houston songs. She was the very first American Idol over 20 years ago and still going strong.
