Several years after his last adventure, retired fortune hunter, Nathan Drake, is forced back into the world of thieves. (SPOILERS) Did anyone else realize that Sully talking to Nate in this trailer is Nate calling Sully the night before going to Italy for the auction? At the end of the game Sully says "No more midnight calls about one last time."

It WAS necessary to have it in the game. This conversation reminded both Nate and the players what they were getting into since it's been a while since the last adventure. It also had the infamous "One last time" line which isn't in the game at all save for the platinum trophy.

I'll be honest, drakes my fave character on any platform just now. Like a modern take on Indiana Jones. Smart, charismatic, deep and loyal. He's the guy we wish we all knew for real. Hope he doesn't die.

Well of course COD and AC will die out it comes out every year man 2-Pac-Lani Bergman but games like Uncharted it doesn't come out every year waaaay back then in Drake's fortune it comes out every 2 yrs and after the 3rd game which was like back in 2011 that's like 5 yrs ago so even if Naughty Dog continues to make a new Uncharted game every 2 to 5 yrs gap it won't "die out" cause its not a game like COD and AC it doesn't come out every year as i mentioned earlier as a matter of fact people are THIRSTY for a new Uncharted game

CPGameface Now,that these console fanboys got some decent PC hardware they think that must be 'the best there is'. But I say give it two or three years and that hardware is so outdated we PC guys start yelling again about bad graphics in all the console ports.... just remember the last 5 years of the last generation of consoles. People forget so qick. IMHO it will happen much sooner. I'm just waiting for DX12 to be released. ;-)

where I come from.. PC is for work and console is for fun... grow the fuck up kids.. playing on PC is as enjoyable as pissing out kidney stones.. and btw.. my PC is way more powerfull than my PS4 but i still prefer to sit my ass in my livingroom on my big ass LED 3D TV and enjoy the madness on console. OK guys for those of you who are confused between what CG, in-game and in-engine is let me clarify: This trailer is NOT CG. But is also NOT in-game. This is in-engine. In-engine means they used the engine that runs the game when you're playing it to make the trailer. This is the same thing with The Last of Us. The cutscenes in The Last of Us looked better than in-game because they're using the same engine, but do not have to render the whole level, which means they have extra resources they can use to make Joel's face look better. The same thing is happening here. I'm sure the WHOLE forest isn't being rendered. Instead, they're using those resources to put more detail in Drake's face. It's all a matter of how and where they use resources. That said, the gameplay visuals are relatively proportional to cutscenes, since it is the same engine that runs both. This means that the gameplay visuals will look like nothing we've ever seen on consoles, since the trailer is like no cutscene we've ever seen on consoles.

That title of "A Thief's End" can mean multiple things. Most are assuming it means Nathan or Sully is going to die, but when does Naughty Dog ever do what you expect when it comes to story? Previous Uncharted titles have been pretty ambiguous. Even after completing the game. Pretty smart strategy. Those titles keep fans theorizing about what they mean until the game comes out. It keeps the interest going. If anything, it may be the end of the series, but I kinda doubt that. Unless Naughty Dog is gonna shelf the franchise for a while to focus on more new IPs that they want to create. That I could see happening, but I think they would eventually come back to the franchise. Or maybe I just refuse to believe that Naughty Dog would kill off Sully or Nathan. I could probably deal with Sully passing, but NOT Nathan Drake. Regardless, I'm very excited for this game. Cannot wait for its release. And when it comes to graphics with Naughty Dog and their teasers/trailers, they are pretty much exactly what we get in the game. They know how to develop to the extent of the console's graphical ability.

You are right. It might be Nate's end as a thief, or they might even kill Sully, but I don't think the franchise is going to end with this game. I'd be pretty sad if it did, though. On the other hand, nobody wants a franchise ruined by excessive milking. I guess things have to end eventually. We'll just have to go through the mourning process like when our favourite series end.

Want to know something funny? There's no pc game in existence that looks this good. My pc is 3 times as powerful, but I won't be seeing any games on it looking better than this for maybe a couple years... that's the nice thing about not having lower end computers as a lower common denominator sucking resources in development. Console exclusives can be very impressive!

For the people who still don't own a PS4, just get one! You can't expect a game like this to come to PS3. Same goes for Batman Arkham Knight and Assasins Creed unity. You people are just holding the games back, because the developers need to think about last gen. Just get a PS4.

I miss Crash Bandicoot. (No, I'm not saying that Naughty Dog should make a new Crash Game, although it'd be cool, it's unlikely. They've moved on). Besides, ND never owned Crash to begin with, Universal Interactive Studios (Or Vivendi Universal Games, whatever you wanna call them) owned the series. Then later on within time it went over to... Activision. I really hope he returns before a decade. But other than that, what are your guys' thoughts on Uncharted 4?

I replayed this a month or two back, and it still holds up in 2023. Granted there were some tweeks for the newer gen consoles and PC, but still.

I'm guessing it's in engine but pre-rendered. It's a stop gap to improve the image quality, control, load times, and more. I'm pretty sure the other Uncharted games do this also. This trailer for Uncharted 3 was in engine. /watch?v=DHHcM6aHPnE

Tristan Hollis Yeah sure but gameplay wise it's annoying for me to go back because I'm not used to the older gameplay anymore so it just gets annoying. Not that it's a bad game or anything, but it's not worth playing compared to Uncharted 2 and 3 but in my opinion, Uncharted 3 was the best in the series.

I got a ps4 last year in August along with the last of us remastered. The game is in 1080p60fps and it works just fine. So, I don't know why you guys think the ps4 will burn if a game is 60fps for single player. Because mine works just fine. Haha

For everyone arguing over PC, XBOX, and PS4: They're all really good systems. The console strength comes in the form of platform exclusives. I wouldn't want to play, for example, Kingdom Hearts on Xbox, because that's not what it was designed for. You could port it, but it wouldn't feel the same. The above stated also applies to XBOX exclusives such as Halo. Now I have a Wii U, high end PC, PS4, and an Xbox one. I have different things I like about every single one of them. To compare them is pretty much like having a street fight between your opinion and my opinion. You'll buy for what you enjoy. Telling someone that a game they enjoyed wasn't enjoyable because of stale gameplay/too many custcenes/bad VA is just pure stupidity. Everyone in the world is going to enjoy something different. Doesn't mean you have to argue with them. Cheers! Have a nice day.

You've really bought into corporate bullshitting, haven't you? Developers don't just think to themselves "well, I really want to bring this game to only a small fraction of gamers". They have contracts with Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo. That's why exclusives exist. Because nobody would buy a watered-down PC otherwise.
