"It's jumping, and running, and I have a natural talent for that." "He should learn to climb. Climbing's always helped me." You just keep leaning on that fourth wall, huh, Drake?
And now Coco is watching Nathan Drake in this exact scene on her laptop, so now it's a Naughty Dog character from a Naughty Dog game watching another Naughty Dog character playing a Naughty Dog game and controlling another Naughty Dog character. Ultimate Naughtyception
I really love Naughty Dog's writing, the way they pull off characters in their games and how the whole time these two interacted I was actually smiling, they're believable people. Props to ND, this was a really cool tribute to their fans and their history, I wish more companies would do these things. I really hope ND doesn't become like Kojima Productions.
demyx, uncharted is made by naughty dog, the same company that made all the crash bandicoot games. not to mention that uncharted's protagonist makes similar stuff as crash did on this playable easter egg
I enjoyed this mission very much. It's amazing that I enjoyed it because there was no action at all besides shooting a toy gun. The whole Mission was a reminder of the previous uncharted games and the original ps1 and crash bandicoot. Thank you naughty dog!
The moment you hear that classic opening tune of the first PlayStation in Uncharted 4, you know you're in for a nostalgia overload. Still, I wonder what would happen if Nate played his own Uncharted games, as well as himself in PlayStation All-Stars! He'd be quite surprised to play as himself!
I haven’t played any Uncharted games. I don’t have a PlayStation. But I gotta say, this writing is phenomenal. I have never seen characters that act so realistic. The way they talk, the way they move, it’s just so real.
i hope you've played by now. the ps5 is my girlfriend's first video game console, and uncharted is one of the first games i've introduced her to. i also never played uncharted because im a PC player and its been playstation exclusive for years. its one of the best experiences we've ever had
+XxMischieferxX well crash is rather a part of the main story. if this video is only to tell that there is a hidden easter egg when we do not see it, then i will facepalm.
+Pugilism V4 by the developers I'm a game tester I got uncharted 4 two years early and loads more games early before they came out like fallout 4 assassins creed syndicate
+LeeHatake93 If it's featured in this game doesn't that mean they got the rights back? Also activision hasn't made a crash game in quit sometime, so wouldn't it automatically go back to naughty dog? That's how movie rights work, idk if gaming is the same.
LONG LIVE STEELO Keep in mind that the Crash game featured in Uncharted is the original. Sony still holds the rights to use it because they still sell it on PSN. The rights to a brand new game still belong to Activision.
+Norma Hernandez Look, you said it yourself. Playstation still owns that particular game because they made it, even though activision has the rights to the franchise. So wouldn't that work both ways? If ND did regain the rights, they can't feature something like twinsanity or mind over mutant because activision still owns those since they made it. So it's possible this is a nod to Nd regaining the rights. And like I said activision haven't used the character in a while and playstation has been ignoring crash till now. But who knows?
Oh man. I know this is just a game but I need someone who is looking at me, as Elena looks at Nathan. She even risks her life at one point in the game to save his ass. If someone doesn't dedicate herself to me like Elena does, I don't want her. She is such a sweetheart.
In The Last of Us Part II, Ellie should start playing Uncharted, in which Nathan starts playing Jak and Daxter, in which Jak starts playing Crash Bandicoot, in which Crash starts playing Way of the Warrior, in which **head explodes**
I would have figured that Nate would have had a PS2 or at least a 3 or 4 by the time this came around. but then again it all depends on where the game is at in the timeline.
Frank Wolenczak So just because they are in this Era means they need the latest and greatest? I still have my ps2 right next to my ps4 and I play the ps2 for the nostalgia. Plus if the girl likes crash then there's not many options for the good crash bandicoot games on new consoles.
Andres The Ink Demon No its not. A fourth wall break is characters acknowledging that they are fictional or talk directly to the audience. This is a reference, not a fourth wall break. Also I think your caps lock is broken
The interesting part to me is that they would have had to use the old crash bandicoot rig to make that new animation at 12:23. .. meaning they still have the old model of him. Could this mean a new old-school style crash bandicoot game?
What is funny is in the remastered version of Crash 2 Coco is watching Uncharted videos on her laptop. Almost like Vicarious' nod to the original developers.
A videogame character made from incredible graphics is complementing a videogame character made with older graphics for his pretty good graphics. My god.
Funny thing, it was a very rare occasion but, Crash could hang in the original game. It was a weird mechanic when you missed a jump at a pitfall, but if timed perfectly, and near enough to a ledge, you wouldn't die but hang on instead. Couldn't climb up tho :/
Why do I get this feeling that this level teaches you pointers about being in a relationship rather going back to memory lane with that orange marsupial
It makes fun of Americans' ignorance of Australasian wildlife. Especially those pig rat things aptly named "bandicoots". It is in fact an Indian loanword for "pig rat". The region of Rohan from Middle Earth also has an Indian loanword for its name; it means "ascend".
Is like...I don't know, like we playing with apes. A highly evolved virtual environment interacting with more primitive instances of itself. What a timeline.
