Yes i agree i was there and they got the mood just right for when sabbath came on, some of the support bands don't leave a lasting impression but they did. Awesome sound very much sabbath of old.
That's right Mr. Edson, forget cd's and vinyl...youtube is the ONLY way to listen to music. Thanks for all the hard work you did personally in getting us so incredibly famous around the world. We gave you music, but we owe you our lives, and possibly more. We will do everything we can to please you from now on. You are our rock in times of hardship. Our master. Always there to show support by streaming our videos with your warm computer eyes and infinite wisdom. You are GOD. We praise you...
I don't know what I hold in my hand, could it be that I'm evil? Plunder on, there's no law in this land, the horror guides me through Masterer and subjector of pain, I'm the god of the worms Devil's legion controls the insane, you'll see it when I'm through I'll hang you higher than before I'll leave you dying at death's door Overruler and slaver of blood, she's impaled in the fire Fear of God drags her name through the mud, and now her life's cut short Dominator and firmer of sins, I'm the lord of the wastelands Bloody hammers and burning hot pins, her story shall be told I'll hang you higher than before I'll leave you lying at death's door I'm the juster and steerer of good, as they lace my hand with gold I'll stand guard as she's nailed to the wood, no truer man than me I'm the king and tormentor of all, as I travel the cities Broken peasants and mayors shall call, my bloodlust never ends I'll hang you higher than before I'll leave you lying at death's door
Thanks man. If you Google these lyrics you get the line: "I leave you dying at Death's Door" But in the studio version I clearly hear him sing "lying," not "dying". But in a live version I heard, he did sing "dying". Why is that?
So Black Sabbath, so good. Killer vocals, and melody.. Fully authentic, you could convince me this was an unreleased Sabbath song if I didn't know better!@
Although the sound of this band has various influences, I can still safely call them original. Which is very strange because it's like deja vu when I first heard them but I knew they were new to my ears.
Hypnotic with that Beatles vocals....talking about evil deeds..... amazing. I recently discovered this band....and Amulet. Restores my faith the younger generations can get it done!
Hell yeah, Uncle Acid rocks pretty hard. I love that guitar tone. Hypnotic distorted fuzz. And the vocals don't suck! Sabbath worship bands usually have bad vocals, but I can get behind these. Groooooooooooove.
This shit fucking smashes my head, man👽. I'm dedicating this trip to my fellow creatures: I hope you find yourself some peace and love in these turbulent days. ✌☮
Another Psych Rock Fan well these recordings of his voice ESPECIALLY remind me of something like I am the walrus vocals. but YES I can definitely hear a Cooper sound too!
I don't know what I hold in my hand, could it be that I'm evil? Plunder on there's no law in this land, the horror guides me through Masterer and subjector of pain, I'm the Godder of worms Devil's Lieger controls the insane, you'l see it when I'm through I'll hang you higher than before I'll leave you dying at death's door Overruller and slaver of blood, she's impaled in the fire Fear of god drags her name through the mud, and now her life's cut short Dominator and firmer of sins, I'm the lord of the wastelands Bloody hammers and burning hot pins, her story shall be told I'm the juster and steerer of good, as they lace my hand with gold I'll stand guard as she's nailed to the wood, no truer man than me I'm the king and tormentor of all, as I travel the cities Broken peasants and mayors shall call, my BLOOD LUST never ends...
Here you go, it's kind of shitty tbh because I wasn't going to spend like an hour on it. imgur.com/a/vxrBt Wanted to put you in cultist robes, but I can't seem to find a single reference for what a hooded robe looks like from the front with the hood down. Also couldn't fit the hood on you without changing the lighting
I freakin LOVE the tone of the drums on this. Also the odd lopsided fills and slight behind-the-beat lags. Keeps it off balance yet deep in the groove. Feels like being dragged thru the mud on the way to being nailed to the stake. So good!
My father was part of that gang called the Mongol Bikers out in California. He told me that when he was my age he lived a life that hurt alot of people around him, and that life got him sent to prison but that whole experience changed his whole life around. When I knew him he was very kind and would give his shirt off his back for someone, a huge believer in helping the poor and criminals. This song just remindes me of him and I thought I would share that.
amen me brother i am glad he went back to the good. there sometimes is no turning back but thank you for sharing that sincerely brother. made me cry a little
OK, I just listened to this through some weird radio station and had to Shazam it since I thought it was some strange Sabbath demo I hadn't heard before. You just got a new fan. This is absolutely great.
funny how one song . grabs you by the face like a graboid and slams ya around the planet earth. its then like WTF was that? wooo hoo i want more please lol same thing to me on this song.
@Cameron Miller ozzy has a different sounding voice. Different guitar riffs and different notes. Different instruments. Sure they have influence. The purple album art is similar, the sound is similar, but in the end they are very different. The styles are even slightly different. Not saying you're wrong, but both sides are right.
@@Brett-yq7pj listen to the song and read it again; it's called a COMPLIMENT. You know how to be complimentary right? Also, listen to I'LL CUT YOU DOWN. After your chores get done.
@@crespossss the Machine- Moons of Neptune & Colour Haze- Aquamaria(?) are pretty dope too if you haven’t peeped them yet ooh and Ditch- One Way Trip to the Sun anything by Buckethead or John Frusciante if your taste leans that way as well etc.
I'm still discovering the lyrics as i listen but the first 2 lines.. "i don't know what i hold in my hand, could it be that i'm evil?" have me hooked .. a really fascinating kind of self-reflective perspective switch (that the 'lead character' has only but a moment to consider) in a really frightening world And the whole rhythm and melody is just demon hypnosis.. wow
Can anyone tell me where this band came from, they are awesome!!!!! the reason I ask is I am 60 years old & have been waiting for something different & here they are. Crack on lads.
that outro just put me into some sort of nostalgic trance, something of which I simply can't describe or understand....... can anyone relate? holy hell!!
2022, Finland. Still listening to these guys, only on youtube. I hope listening here, helps everyone in the band somehow, because they sure deserve all the support. This rocks, way underrated. I hope for all the best for them.
I love these guys. Saw them live in ~2016 when they came through my little (not so little any more) town of Missoula, Montana. The venue had maybe 100 people and these guys killed it. I was right up front dancing my ass off. There's 0 chance they'll be back here, but maybe I can catch them again some day in a bigger city.
Sabbath and Beattles and now this is great stuff for spell work brought me back to the page that fell out of the book shit needvto pick this one up wiping the dust off of this one.
I don't know what I hold in my hand, could it be that I'm evil? Plunder on there's no law in this land, the horror guides me through Masterer and subjector of pain, I'm the Guider of worms Devil's Legion controls the insane, you'll see it when I'm through [Chorus] I'll hang you higher than before I'll leave you dying at death's door [Verse 2] Over ruler and slaver of blood, she's impaled in the fire Fear of god drags her name through the mud, and now her life's cut short Dominator and firmer of sins, I'm the lord of the wastelands Bloody hammers and burning hot pins, her story shall be told [Chorus] I'll hang you higher than before I'll leave you dying at death's door [Guitar solo] [Verse 3] I'm the jester and steerer of good, as they lace my hand with gold I'll stand guard as she's nailed to the wood, no truer man than me I'm the kind and tormentor of all, as I travel the cities Broken peasants and mayors shall call, my blood lust never ends [Chorus] I'll hang you higher than before I'll leave you dying at death's door
I called my 12 year old son over to the couch to listen and watch Jerry play in this video. My son is really really good at fishing and really loves it. The excitement in his voice and in his body language, it all captures his passion perfectly. And i was explaining to him one day about how if he is really that passionate about it he can keep practicing and go on to do something great with it. And i said you know how happy and genuinely excited you get when you fish? It's the same thing as this man playing here. Look at the joy in his face? He was digging it by the end.
:) I saw them as Black Sabbath warm up here in Norway, damn they gave me goosebumps and got me into the groove :) They were Perfect warm up for Sabs' and they sounded like Young Sabs :) I got to have their album and get more into them :)
I love and support this music. I tell every one i meet about this band. I felt so lucky to find and hear it and always will. Thank you for the grate music.
La caratula del disco esta fenomenal. La forma en la cual dibujaron la luna, la perdida mirada de la chica, la oscuridad de la noche de fondo.una verdadera muestra cargada de excelencia De ese tiempo
Almost 10 years ago now I ordered some swag from them and it showed up at my door with occult symbols and stuff drawn all over the outside of the package with a Sharpie. Good times.
Spent last weekend listening to this record and Electric Wizard with my lady while smoking weed and jamming through the Hoh Rainforest. Core memory unlocked
