If you really want to get rid of your Uncle Jim it's easy. You know he's doing sugar. You informed the judge. He's drinking and driving cuz he's partying all the time and have him arrested while he's doing that he would be found automatically incapable of raising a child. Problem solved
@@geraldgrenier8132 As usual, someone always misunderstand what i wrote, the court I was talking about is the trial they had AFTER the formal adoption was already completed. The one they had after the uncle found out about the money.
You two are lucky to have each other to lean on! Ben, you really are way better off with Jesse 🎉 enjoy your life and remember to always be your very best self!
That child would never see any of that money again... including the one he gets as an adult if Jim had his way. He would have the bare minimal while Jim used the money he was getting for himself.
I laughed too about the floozy that OP's uncle brought to court to be his witness. I wonder exactly what he did want her to say anyway that would help him? Only thing I could think of is to give the impression the boy has a mother figure available in her.
If this is real I think the judge did hear what she said. The judge seemed to not have but if the judge actually said that was a factor in the judgement he could have potentially used that to try again. Saying the judge used what someone else said and she way lying, he never said that. This way the judge didn't give him that excuse.
This story sounded stupid to me, I can't imagine Uncle could get the boss to fire OP if he has been doing a good job. It's good the parents told him to talk to his boss, and good he loved his cousin enough to take care of him and adopt him. Kudos to the now-deceased mom provided for her son. Uncle has zero claim on the trust or the boy since he has legally been adopted. OP sounds so dumb even questioning if he loved his wife and stepson. I do hope whatever woman he brings into his life will truly love him and his son. After update: It is sad a little boy has to be put in the position he is in court, but also important he has a say in his own life. Is this story even real? I find myself having doubts.
Ok, why did this story skip over Ben's mother dying, and where is Ben's biological father after her death? Was he not notified so he could reclaim his son or did he not want him like Jim?
Where's Ben's father? I wish I could say you can't adopt the child w/o the father's permission but almost ALL over the world father's parental rights seem to be overlooked.
I can't decide if the woman was really stupid or really smart because she was either to dumb to know not to say that to a judge or she saw what kind of man the uncle was and wanted to keep the kid safe so she said something that would almost 100% guarantee he didn't get custody
OP is a stand up guy. Glad he won custody. Ben will be better off for it. The greedy step dad has no business taking custody of another person. He’s a selfish, greedy, narcissistic person with zero interest in the needs of others.
If op doesn't take Baby Ben then he will be fired is the dumbest mess I ever heard. The child is no longer his stepson, Op, baby Ben is your son, hes all yours and no one can do shxt about it. dead beat wants Baby Ben back is the dumbest thing ever! Where is the bio father, I may have missed it in this video?
Anyone else feel like these stories are written by AI? Something is odd with the language structure. Perhaps non-English speakers and the translations are off. I love Mr. Reddito's animations and reading though.
Even on stories that you can find the reddit post, Reddito mispronounces or replaces words. I think the problem is that Reddito might not be a native English speaker. If that's true, Mr. Reddito is really good at reading.
@@kixxenwalla167 His delivery is great, I think it is the actual story. Mispronunciations are not an issue. I do believe they are on reddit, I just think there is something up. I would get spam ims that used similar writing styles. Verbs in the wrong place, overly flowery adjectives. If I have time, I will go back and pull specific examples.
@@theindigopapillon3495 Oh, no doubt. I don't believe all these stories happen and the person was able to update. I have no problem believing that it's bots or fake stories that are posted to generate content. I wouldn't be surprised if incorrect spelling, flowy and unnecessary words, nor incorrect words did occur because it was from a bot. It's just super weird for anyone physically reading the stories and editing them to not understand that they sound off. Unless they didn't fully understand why it was off.
Jim: I want to be Ben's legal guardian. I love money, Ill do anything for money. Money is super important to me Judge: You mean Ben? Jim: Yeah money is my...uh nickname for hin. Dont deprive me of money.
This story sounds ridiculous. Ok, so the guardian is going to get $500 a month to look after the kid. That doesnt cover food, clothing and babysitting every month, does it?
Dude I don't understand who the hell is telling the original poster that they are the ones of the wrong because this guy just took a kid that was just dropped on him grew attached to him started raising them as his own son even when he wasn't The Stepfather in the situation fought so hard for this kid that have a better life and whoever's calling him the asshole definitely sound like terrible people because I don't believe in that whole entire crap when they say you shouldn't separate a child from their actual parent which the uncle isn't even the actual parent either sadly the only person this poor kid can call a father is the original poster and I'm glad and happy that you know he won that situation in court and he gave this kid exactly what he needed a true parent father figure and I would also say a mother figure in a a little later on down the line with the person the original poster is seeing and I just wish them nothing but the best for the rest of their lives
I feel bad for op he did the "nobel" thing by taking Ben in but definitely not the smart decision he is going to be stuck with a kid who shouldn't be his responsibility I guess if op is happy then cool but can't say I feel good for him
If she wanted the best for Ben, then why was Ben always with you or the other guy. Sounds like she wasn’t very caring for Ben while she was still living. And where was she when he dumped all his clothes and belongings off at your front door. Make it make sense.
I actually think That the girl uncle Ben brought did that on purpose. There is no way someone is that stupid. That might have been her way to stop him.
Ok this story has to be fake. Going to break things down along with the updates. Initial story: So OP is a recent graduate, and he gets a manager's position within a company, just like that? The Uncle's friend just hired him in such a position like that? I also find it highly unlikely that Claire wouldn't leave the uncle just because he was a better father figure to her son, I mean honesty she would allow herself to be disrespected and treated like crap than to go without a father figure to him? With Claire dying I would assume she would set something up that protected her finances for Ben easily, especially as she knows how Jim is. Plus, OP is moving up in the company he works in after 6 months....I know people who work their butts off for years before they can move up, OP would have need to be a genius or something and make the company skyrocket for something like that. If OP was lonely why not get a pet or girlfriend? Op doesn't seem to be very bright or consistent with his stories. He says he can't watch Ben anymore as he has a work thing, but after Jim took him back and then delivered him again after a day OP said nothing? Nor did he question it more when Jim brought all of Ben's stuff over, that would be something I would ask big time, but OP didn't question it. Also what is happening to Claire? all they said is that she is sick and never said she died, so is she dead at this point? Plus I call BS on the part where Jim could get OP fired for not adopting Ben. If OP was doing so well at his job that his boss gave him more important work there is no way the boss would get rid of him no matter what Jim said. Yet if it did happen OP can sue for unlawful termination. Plus OP called his boss and told him everything that Jim said...yet the boss said nothing about his job being secured or what? That could have helped OP's situation big time, but no word on it. Update 1: There's no way OP can't take Ben without assuming guardianship or the like. Something legal would need to be done. He didn't want that initially but then changed his mind? He's all flippy on the issue. Oh now we hear about Clair, but we still haven't heard what is going on with her? Has she died at that point? was she still clinging onto life? Why wasn't additional information given about her? She is the key thing to this story after all as it gives the conflict. if she was dead before hand wouldn't have Jim gotten this letter first? Now i'm thinking Clair was dead before hand before she would be needed to sign over custody as well, making this part more implausible, as Jim would have gotten the notice. How convenient OP would get this notice after getting custody. Now Jim wants him back? Yeah he signed away the rights so he can't get Ben back, also did he even adopt Ben after marrying Claire? None of that was mentioned. Update 2: So if family members didn't agree with what Jim is doing why isn't there a mention that they will speak out against him? If Op wants a good chance to keep him why not ask or mention they are going to speak on his behalf? It would ease the fears as having character witnesses would turn the tides, but nope no mention of that. Oh and OP just mentioned that he's dating a female...why is that relevant to the story? It was just a brief introduction and nothing more. This update wasn't needed at all. Final update: Jim's defense is BS, mainly as they would need to go through legal court proceedings in order for OP to gain custody before. So saying that OP stole Ben wouldn't have worked, as reasons would need to be given for why transferring custody is needed. Also, again the letter from the lawyer came after OP assumed guardianship of Ben, when it seems like Claire had been dead for a time, that is just sketchy. Plus the female that attended with Ben just blurted out something to incriminate him, I find it very unlikely that would happen. Why else would he bring her, what's the reason? And the judge didn't hear what the women said? Really? I find that hard to believe as the person recording the minutes would have gotten that on the record and have it read back. So her not hearing it is absurd. Also, OP's family didn't speak out on his behalf? Why not? they would be character witnesses which would be important. Plus, OP asks if he was the AH at the end...after telling such a long story, he has to ask if he was the bad guy? That came out of nowhere and made no sense! This story is fake there are too many things that rebuke it and questions that weren't answered. Again I know there are stories like that but this is me breaking it down.
It seems as if the OP has very little knowledge and understanding of how family law works. Also the likelihood that they would take the 4 yr old into court is minuscule.
