I can't, whenever I hear these lyrics, it makes me feel like they foreshadow sth bad during his isekai days The fact that he has always been someone who is alone and can't deal with too much dark moments like when he realised his family relationships all self destructed cux of him in coma that he relied on memory erasing, even then he came back, and he was like everyone appearance were very good looking He lacked self confidence in himself, to trust his own instinct and self And always denied that ppl are actually doing sth good for him Since they touched on his skepticism towards ppl, he probably just seen their actions but dismissed it Trust yourself, don't deny He kept talking about the story where the girl lost her will and went on a rampage, until she snapped out of it then realised what she did... Save yourself Everytime he can't cope, he erases even his own memory, since so far all his memories, he nvr shown anything bad for now Don't forget After all 17 years, and ppl actually got along with him, there isn't any reason his social skills would be anywhere near bad, and he shown time and time again he is capable of proper social communication Even him just watching back his memories, it's almost as if he decided not to forget anymore and overcome his past, and now looks at the good moments of his past life, in memories of his companions Man, the final lines of this song will hit hard if we ever reached the climax moment or the end of his isekai story...

I just finished episode 12. It does feel like the lyrics are foreshadowing something. I'm not a manga reader btw. That said, Yosuke did return to Japan. And what we know about his personality is that he erases traumatic events with magic. my working theory is something bad had to happen for him to return to earth with no recollection of the details. probably erased the memories because it was so bad. I dont hope my theory is right because Uncle needs a break

The anime actually covered pretty much all of the manga up to this point. There are only a few more chapters after the anime. I think they do a new chapter like every month or two.

The Manga is barely pass what we've gotten unfortunately, reality is we'd be waiting for at least six years before it even starts production.

modern isekai are for the most part a tired trope-fest. It's those creative, self aware shows/manga that actually bring something to the table

If a 2nd season will see the light of day, we'll wait at least 2 years, since the anime got almost everything out from the manga till this moment (7 issues on the 1st season out of 9 issues, in a 5 years run). But it is an ongoing series and a popular one, so it's possible.

don't see the 90s influence in either the show or the manga. They talk a lot about the 90s WITHIN the story, but the story itself felt... well... modern... maybe not associated with any timeframe... but not too differetn from other modern manga I've read during the last few years.
