Lau Ee need to book .. cannot walk in… I just arrived Penang few hours ago and will be spending Chinese New Year in Penang this year.. I will eat there again.. the shark fins and goose feet is simply mesmerizing 🤤🤤🤤
@@solarcoaser thanks for watching and subscribing.. btw, I have a question..do you speak cantonese or you watching by reading the subtitles? I am curious which part of Indonesia are the cantonese Chinese people… I haven’t come across any cantonese speaking Indonesians but I do know a few that speaks Mandarin.
Uncle Lee...I have a nice place to recommend to you. It sells porridge and pork noodles Very popular in Penang. The shop is Hon Kei situated in Jalan Kampong Malabar off Penang Road. Give it a try on your next trip to Penang. In KL you can do a review on Yut Kee serving Hainanese Chicken Chop. Very hood leh.
Thanks so much for the 3 episodes on Penang eats - appreciate it! And very helpful that you added the addresses below as well. But I do agree with one of the commenters per sharks fin - I don't eat that anymore as they cut the sharks' fins off and then dump them back into the sea. So wasteful and cruel. Ditto for any "exotic" medical things like rhino horns or ivory from elephant tusks. Our planet is getting so small now with so many humans encroaching into animal habitats. Least we can do is respect and protect what is left of nature.
Hameediyah is so overpriced. I prefer going to Line Clear, Kg Melayu or Deen Maju if I make it to Penang when I balik kampung for a short visit. Thanks for making the videos. Remind me of a lot of places in Malaysia I had visited when I was a child 😊
I find Line Clear just to be ok but that’s personal opinion. Haven’t tried Kg Melayu or Deen Maju yet. Will go check them out someday. Have tried “Beratur” but don’t like the hygiene there. Thanks for watching
Where are your Side Kicks? Mr & Mrs Fong? I look forward to eating there when I go home next year. Last time in Penang was 2008. Bet there will be more developments and I e way systems that when I left in1971. You can take the boy out of Penang but not the Penang out of the Boy!
I came back to my second home, Penang… I do that few times a year…Penang has changed a lot in the last 10 years… most visible is horrible traffic jams everywhere in the island these days!
Chef Yau is at Le Mei Restaurant, Le Meridien Hotel Putrajaya. Watch my video on I ❤️ JackSou, 5 ⭐️ food, 1 ⭐️ price… 👇 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-depm8kALErA.html and best part now, he has a new dim sum menu with even more exciting creations! Bon appetit! 😋
Shark's fin - reference to Lee Chong's comment 3 mths ago. Uncle Lee, please consider using your videos to discourage viewers from consuming real shark's fin soup. Sharks are going extinct and the method of extracting the fins is very cruel. The fins are cut off and the sharks are thrown back into the sea to die slowly. Shark's fin is pure cartilage and has zero nutritional value. It's expensive and eaten as a prestige symbol. Why not consume faux shark's fin made from agar-agar. Very similar texture to the real thing but much more humane.
I have eaten in many places in Penang over the last 30 years. I have stayed in Penang for over 15 years before I moved to KL and I still go back to Penang few times a year… still have many friends and relatives in Penang. I only choose to showcase the food that I like to eat - others may not like what I eat. Good food available at all price points for different consumers. The very reasonable RM6 lor mee at Hai Beng coffee shop is one of my favorites… Btw, I will vote in Bayan Baru constituency for GE15. I know a lot more than Penang lang.
