Unclogging a defrost drain line on a freezer. #HandsomeRandi #Handyman #HomeMaintenance #RentalMaintenance #PropertyManagement #HomeDIY how to fix refrigerator leak water on the floor defrost
I have a friend who works for sears and does this on a daily basis.. Rifling through ppl frozen food to get to the meat and potatoes of the problem Great video 👍🏻
I have a French door fridge freezer with the freezer down below that has been flooding the bottom with ice since it was new. Could this fix be used to remedy my unit? Or could it be due to a manufacturer defect?
Next time maybe just check the amperage that you're heating elements are pulling that way you know they're still good just because they're glowing on a infrared thermometer you have doesn't mean they're not bad always check amperage
i had the exact same issue with ice, except the pipe wasnt clogged. the defrost wasnt thawing the tube ontop. i bought some cheap copper wire and jerry rigged an extension of the defrost and pushed just enough down in but not into the drain. never had an issue since
I've poured water through the hole. Not a drop of water in the lower freezer , no ice on the bottom- only in the ice tray. Water went straight through, and on to the floor. I don't have a body that let's me down to work on it, and don't have a person of your quality in the entire memphis area. Soo, I turned the ice makers off, and that stopped the draining. Thanks for the video, but I can't do this stuff any more.
As long as you don’t pour a bunch of water down the drain, it will evaporate away, it goes to a drain pan near the compressor and sometimes is use to help cool, the compressor
I have had intermittent freeze overs and it turned out to be the defrost timer. If you get called back then swap the timer. Open the old timer and clean the carbon off the contactor surfaces. The contactors get burned from normal operation and recently they have been using less silver in the contacts themselves resulting in shorter lifespan. All the defrost timers are the same. It's just the amp rating for the contacts and the defrost frequency that changes.
Why does a freezer have a heater? It should be like on the outside as a ventilation system to actually allow the refrigerant to recool to repeat the cooling cycle
My garage fridge ,that is an over and under type like the one in this video, doesn't get that cold any more. The freezer still gets things frozen but the beer in the fridge just doesn't seem to get as cold. Anything I should check?
Usually there are ducts going from the freezer to the fridge. Fridge doesnt actually cool. All the cooling comes from the freezer and if those ducts are closed (ice) the fridge wont get that cold.
I don’t know that I would buy this one again, it has a very low refresh rate and poor resolution and the price has gone up. I purchased it three years ago for around $200 and now they’re asking around $300.
You say it's for a office but when reloading the food into the freezer we see behind you, looks a lot like a house. Even has the live laugh love wall decor
He said, "got a work order from the office". That means the tenant called the office and said their fridge is leaking. He went into the office and got the work order.
You've got nothing on a 1998/99 Sears & Roebuck refrigerator freezer. Defrosts water down to crisper drawers and floor. Even the stickers are embarrassed, they wear off. You're no match to fix them.
