There used to be a lot more money for the government to do these services. Since the 80’s government keeps cutting budgets so they can give tax breaks to the wealthy.

Yup. In all fairness, though, people do tend to use it with *some* reason... In terms of length, a football field is 100 yards long, so it's sort of an alternate way to express our version of the hectometer. In terms of measuring an area of land, the imperial acre is roughly 1 and 1/3 football fields. I still think it's kind of ridiculous, but American football is so popular in the US that it's genuinely easier for many people to visualize.
Oh yes and they get way bigger than that - I believe that was a small painted turtle - we have huge snapping turtles too - maybe I’ll do a video on how to fined huge snapping turtle’s in the creeks and catch one - I use to do that a lot when I was younger
