I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Fun facts: Beavers can swim under water for 15 minutes with their eyes closed. Their eyelids are transparent and act as swimming goggles. Beavers mate for life, and when their partners die, they never mate again. The nocturnal beaver can build a lodge in two nights. They can fell a 5 inch diameter tree in 3 minutes.

Old Canadian here. You need a netted hat my friend Post. The sell tonnes of them at the Kapuskasing Wal-Mart. Fires are awesome to keep mosquitoes away. Believe me there were 10x the mosquitoes when I was a kid. Canada has more lakes than the rest of the world combined, it's mosquito heaven but only for a few months. Heatwave kill of mosquitoes too.

@@user-peach408 Needs to be dry heat. Humid heat wont do diddly. At least that's what we see here in Denmark/Scandinavia. We dont get heatwaves anywhere near what you guys do and they still die when it's dry.

That's one of the reasons I'm happy when summer ends. The little bastards don't deal with the cold well, so once it stays below a certain temperature, those annoyances die off for the year. I HATE the cold though, but I deal with it cause there's no mosquitos.

Hey you were at Abitibi canyon dam north of Smooth Rock Falls Ontario. There used to be a little town by that dam called Fraserdale it was built by Ontario Hydro in the 60 s when they built Abitibi canyon and Otter Rapids and a few more in the area. There's not much left now only foundations. Hope you liked your visit in Northern Ontario

Dude, you don't put permethrine on your skin, it'll do absolutely nothing. You spray a specified amount on your clothes and gear. That stuff is amazing, when used correctly.

If you can tolerate apple cider vinegar drink 1/4 cup of that before working. Bonus is acv is good for your digestion also. Once you sweat it out the mosquitos will land but they won’t bite because you taste like a pickle! I found that was only thing that keeps mosquitos from biting when you are sweating.

When I went to Canada it was recommended that I buy a bug suit. It was a suit made out of mosquito netting and pretty tough and it saved my butt from the mosquitoes and black flies. I got the jacket, the pants, and the headgear, and if I ever go back I'll wear it again.

those lily sometimes known as Turkish caps I believe they're native wildflower and they are related to Tiger Lillies But just all orange not with any spots But there are endangered species so don't pick them if you can cultivate any on your property go for it because they're like a native wildflower and they are endangered they help feed a certain kind of caterpillar that's also endangered for the moth or butterfly I forgot whether Bob or butterfly but the insects the larvae stage the caterpillars feet off of the plant and gain toxins and stuff like that just like a monarch butterfly does with milkweed. I don't remember what type of caterpillar it is or butterfly it is or moth but the health fertilized the plant as adults. so when you see them you know there's a healthy ecosystem because they're hard to cultivate and grow.

In the UK I am the tastiest person with regard horseflies and mosquitoes and I tried EVERYTHING. Now I use WD-40 and it's the only thing I have found works

From Central New England on up from like New Hampshire VT that's all former Tundra that's all former glacial till and glacial deposit that's where there's so many ponds and lakes up there because it was saturated with frozen water for thousands of years and it's finally thought out and it's still kind of pooling on the top I mean some New England used to be like that too like maybe 15,000 years ago before the end of the Ice Age probably even more icy than that at least far down is Long Island Cape Cod was all ice covered about 12,000 11 thousand years ago it started melting out and we're still melting we're still melting all that out so northern Maine New Hampshire VT southern Ontario Quebec all those areas are going to be covered with small ponds swampy areas and lots and lots and lots of mosquitoes The further north you go the worse it gets. it's just the nature of the environment in this part of the world.

Those flowers are alstroemerias - very pretty, they come in a range of colours from white, through yellow, orange, red and purple. They’re grown commercially in Europe and popular in gardens or as cut flowers, sold by florists

Love your videos ! Is that the same moss/algae that plagues southern tanks and ponds too, can grow from shore to 30 feet out easy ? Grass carp were imported to reservoirs all over the US to clear it out but carp ate eggs of native fish too along with clearing shrubs underwater where fish laid eggs.

Oh yeah if you have any air vents in your car you want to close them up at nights otherwise mosquitoes will fly through them to get to you unless you get AC on but if you've got like air vents that just blow cold air from your outside of the old fashioned cars used to do that you want to close up your air vents and keep your windows closed we've been sleeping in your car at night otherwise you're going to get attacked by mosquitoes like you wouldn't believe you're going to wake up in one big itchy mess.

Try a mixture of Vanilla and water. Use a 1 to 3 mixture I part vanilla 3 parts water. Put in a spray bottle, spray away.
